Excellent! I called Disney yesterday and they told me that they didn't know anything yet. I want to make sure my Palo night doesn't fall on any of the dress up nights. My dad has never cruised at all before, let alone with Disney and I don't want him to miss a thing!

Formal night - Monday night
Semi formal - Friday night

Not positive but I think Pirate night is the 1st Cabo night.

I have not had a chance to call yet but it sounds about right - I will try to send out an e mail to my inside source right now and I am also going to see who our cruise director will be - I am gonna be BUMMED if pirate night is the first cabo night I have palo booked that night
I would think they would do it on the PV night bec we will be out to sea that night sailing vs cabo where I dont know if we just stay there or sail out and back anyone know ?

If you go to the first page of the Cruise Forum there is a sticky at the top with info for the Mexican Riviera cruises. Someone posted the navigators from their Sept 25 - Oct 1st 2011 cruise and it had
Monday - Formal
Thurs - Pirates In The Caribbean
Fri - Semi Formal

Thanks for posting - I had palo booked Thurs night THANK GOODNESS there was still room to change it - I am now booked for Palo on Mon night =) It will be easy bec if thats formal night we are going to have to dress up anyways

I know! I'm trying to fill up my time with different projects so I don't keep thinking about it!

Should we have a deadline for people to sign up for the FE? That way we have enough time to get enough gifts? On my last Jan cruise, we set a cutoff time for Thanksgiving. What do you guys think?

Holy smileys! This is my favorite...cabbage patch, oh yeah! Well, longtime Disney nerd, new to DISboards and new to the Cruise line! This will be our first cruise, and we are really looking forward to it! I'm in the military and will be deploying next summer so this is kind of our big "to-do" before I head to the desert. My wife and I (yes, I'm a guy Disney-nerd and planner!!!) are surprising the kids (DD, 12; DS, 10; DS 7) and plan on letting them know on Christmas day. We are in room 8520 and are interested in the FE dealy-o. We could do a couple nights, no prob. We'll have to make an FE...I'm sure my daughter can come up with something creative!

So you Cruise vets...what are the list of activities of PV and Cabo? I heard dolphin swimming was pricey and we are trying to minimize expense. What shore excursions are fun and cheap? We are thinking of doing one excursion for each port and spending the extra day in Cabo just hanging around or maybe staying onboard (is that even an option or do they kick everyone off )

Oh, as for the cruise name...how about La Mickey-racha? LOL!!!

What are everyone's names? I'll add you to the FE list!

My husband and I are doing the outdoor adventure excursion in PV. I didn't look too hard at the other excursions but I know that there are some inexpensive ones where you get to hang out at the beach all day.

You can always stay on the ship. They won't kick you off. It's actually a lot quieter on the ship during days at port because most people get off the ship.

I love your cruise name too! LOL!!!

Thanks, carreyw! I'll PM you the names shortly. I'm guessing we'll see the complete list of excursions when we are able to book...not until Oct. 25th since we are first-timers. We'll try to book Palo, too. My wife wants to hit the spa as well...I'll have to see if they do like a couples massage thing...saw it on a video.

I'm not going to get any work done now that I've discovered this site!

I agree a cut off date but people always join last min so I always buy a couple of extras for that reason . I like Dec 1 personally but i keep forgetting the cruise is the beginning of Jan not the end !YAY
Denver and I have been here in FL all week ( since Sun ) and are meeting with old cruise friends - always fun ! Before I booked this cruise I had a ressie for Oct 20 on the Dream - I changed when I had ankle surgery bec I would not have been able to do anything in the water - Makes me sad being all the way in FL and not crusing tomorrow but I am going to meet some of the people from the boards that I was going to cruise with tonight so that makes up for it - Then our cruise friends from the UK are here as well and sail out Sunday on a 7 nighter - Everyone is crusing except Denver and I LOL

Hi everyone! I am a new member to this forum! I join because I am so excited to see other people who will be taking the same cruise as my family and i!
My name is Leslie. My husband and I will be taking our first cruise ever, and it will be the disney cruise upon many recommendations. I am a bit lost because I dont know many things about cruises, such as theme nights etc.. but anyhow ill catch up with all the reading. Also in the cruise my mother, sister and brother will be joining us so it will be a family event. So excited.. and its awesome I already get to meet some of you through this forum and the facebook group that was created!! Any tips will be much appreciated.. I also read about FE but I am a bit confused about how it works! Looking forward to hear from you all
