Thanks for the warm welcome!!! Having a great time shopping and planning for the trip. It is a secret from my girls...we will tell them we are taking GM to the airport and surprise them with letting them go on the plane. They will think it is the best trip ever before they even find out we will be on a Disney cruise. I'm not sure they really even understand what a cruise is...lol

I just booked my one way car rental with Enterprise on the 15th. Our flight doesn't leave LAX until 10PM and we did not feel like getting stranded all day at the airport. Might as well soak up that LA sunshine before we head back to winter wonderland.

One day rental prices are crazy. The one day with the drop off fee from Enterprise is $87.63. We have a standard car booked with Alamo from 12/31/2011-01/08/2011 for $106 INCLUDING all the taxes and fees. NUTS!

OMG this is coming up fast! I have so much to do! I need to dry clean my suit, buy a new Mickey shirt, and pack an eye patch...only vacation where you need to pack an eyepatch.

Canadian disney - try dollar rent a car or budget they may be cheaper also you may find a hotel or something that gives free shuttle to the airport and port and at least you would have somewhere to hang for the day

It will be our first cruise-- our oldest is 10 and he thinks he wants to go to the Edge, although I'm not sure he will get to as it is for 11-13, I believe.

Wow...don't check the forums for a month and BOOM, explosion!!! I've spent the last hour at work catching up! No prob though, the boss is out of the office! Put ICHABODY down for A, we'll do one gift for the group. This is our first cruise and we're aren't sure if we'll have enough time to deliver gifts on multiple days.

Our kids don't even know we are going yet, although my 10 year old caught me checking out our ressie on the computer the other night...had to make up a lame excuse like, "oh this isn't our cruise, it's your uncle's cruise!" Anyways, I'm dying to tell them, but they'll find out Christmas morning! My wife and I have booked Palo, a couples massage and the historic towns tour in PV...so excited!!!

My daughter (12) will most likely hang out at the Edge and the boys (10, 7) at the Oceaneer's Lab, but I called DCL and they said my daughter could hang out at the Lab with the boys if she wanted. Hopefully at the meet and greet she'll make some tween friends!

Question...when do we get cruise docs and luggage tags? Hopefully by Christmas...I'd love to have something for the kids to open up on Christmas!

Oh yeah...we are the Crawford's! We are driving down day of, we only live 1:15 from the port.

Docs come 10-14 days before the cruise, but maybe if we all wish REALLY hard, they'll come sooner.

We are in Valencia!!! It's a small world after all.... We are surprising our kiddos for Cmas with the cruise too. Our kiddos are close to the same ages too!!

I consistently have dreams where I'm on the cruise and I forgot my motion sickness medication (although I've never been seasick) and in my dream I'm freaking out thinking I'm going to throw up.

It is not our first cruise but I am hoping my 11 year old ds will be going to the Edge. He is a little shy and does not usually go to the clubs but I am hoping he will try this time.

We were told there is a Disney shuttle between LAX and the ship. No one has told us we need to buy a ticket or make a reservation. We are assuming you just find it and take it to the ship. Is this accurate? Thanks...first cruise on Disney.
