Jan 4 - No Fantasmic Dinner Packages?

I just tried to book a Fantasmic! Lunch or Dinner package on Jan 4, but according to the CM, none are available. She confirmed Fantasmic! is scheduled for 6:30 that evening.

This is the first day I would be able to make that reservation (180 days out). Do you think I'm just too late (since the reservations opened an hour and a half before I called) or that they aren't doing packages that day?

I know Fantasmic! is closing that first week in January for refurbishment.

According to the CM I spoke with they aren't in the system yet. Crystal Palace and Akershus breakfasts weren't yesterday either for the first week of Jan.

You may be too late (guests with 180 + 10 checking in before you do are ahead of you), or it just may not be in the system yet. Sometimes restaurants/events are not loaded at the earliest possible time to make reservations. Sometimes they don't show up for days or weeks.

I was unaware that events might not be in the system on Day 1, so thanks for that information. From my discussion with the CM, I suspect that's the case.

As of July 10th, nothing in 2012 is in the system yet.

I want Jan 2nd, I have rung twice but nothing in the system, very frustrating when you are calling from Australia!!!

Now you can book on line but still nothing for January!!

I was able to book Jan 4th online using a tip I found on the boards. Manually type in your date being sure to use the mm/dd/yyyy format instead of using the calendar. Good luck!

call back. i tried to get a F! package and was told that they weren't in the system; not that they were sold out. I hung up and called back 15 minutes later and had my choice of all 3 at pretty usual times for F!

Perhaps they really are going to close for rehab. I know I am in the minority, but I love WDW's version of Fantasmic!, I hope they don't change too much.

Worked for us too!
As for the refurb, I hear Jan 4th is the last showing before the refurb.
And that's what the Disney calendar shows as well.

If it doesn't say Fantasmic on the details of the reservations, then it isn't the Fantasmic package. It is just a regular dinner reservation. I thought I was able to book the 2nd January Mama Melrose dinner Fantasmic, but looked again and it wasn't a F package. When I booked the lunch F package, it clearly said Fantasmic package on the reservation. Sorry.
