Just thought I'd start a thread for this sailing.
Booked this about 1 month ago with friends. It will be myself, DH and DD 17. Aack...her last cruise being able to use the teen club :scared1: .

Hi there,

It will be me, Martina (41) DH Dylan (41) and our 2 DD Ryanne (4.5 )and Reese (2 3/4.)* All ages are reflective of time of sailing.

This will be our first cruise ever.

We are also having friends join us (who will hopefully post their stats) in addition to FIL and (step) MIL. We are also hoping my sis and her family will join us.

Sounds like you will have a nice group joining you. Hope they decide to book quickly, I keep seeing the prices going up and up.

I hope so too, our friends are booked and have the room next to us. I am going to talk to FIL about booking. I wanted to get our rooms first - we are 6564 so even if he didn't want the same cat as us- that he could try and get the same deck and a room near by.

I'm SO excited, I am already DREAMING about booking for the Fantasy when on board.

We'll be on the Dream in 2½ weeks and I've booked the Fantasy for Dec. 2012. Can't wait to see the Dream.

Hopefully (if we take to cruising- it is our first) then we can use the on board booking discount make a reservation on the Fantasy.

My only concern is that since I have been DREAMING about this for so long and building it up in my head, I hope I can still be realistic in my expectations.

Have you cruised in Jan before? Is that a good time to sail? I imagine the ship would be somewhat less crowed than summer or National/school holidays.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

We did sail over MLK weekend one year and the ship was full, haven't sailed any other time in January.

It looks like it's still just us in the MEET thread.

While it would be nice for other DIS-ers to join, I am still hoping it's not a full ship. There still seems to be plenty of availability in every category with 9 months to go.

I already have my room number which I can give to you. Hopefully we can at least meet up for a drink onboard :)

Headed out to the Dream in the morning. Hoping to not get too lost onboard.

Cruise was great, ship is beautiful but very big as expected. DD got lost a time or 2 but found her way around.
The port was absolutely packed when we arrived at 11:40. But we were able to check in right away and board right away which was nice.

I can't wait till I see the ship with my own eyes.

I hope by the time I can do the online check in that we have our Remy reservations because then I won't stress to much about port arrive time/ boarding number. If we get the ressies before hand, I wouldn't mind not getting on the ship til 1:30 just so we can drop the carry on luggage to the room.

I think by the time our cruise rolls around I would have studied the deck plans do much I will know the ship like the back of my hand without ever having been on it.

I guess it's still us....
Maybe there will be others joining closer to the date, I have seen a few posts were people said they were considering that cruise to sail.

Considering how the ship keeps filling up I'm surprised there aren't more DIS cruisers.

Me too.

Hopefully, even if there aren't DIS-ers our cruisemates will be a good group of people.

Hello!
We are a family of 7 cruising with ya!

The cast:
My mom, dad, I'm the oldest daughter:15, will be 16 by cruise, Brother: 13, Sister: turns 10 few days after cruise, Brother: 5, will be 6 by cruise, youngest brother: 3

It's our first time on the Dream and we are SO EXCITED because it looks so amazing!!

I hope we can get enough people to do an FE exchange because those are always fun and we are already collecting gifts!!!

Hi Rhino, F/E exchange sounds like fun, hopefully their will be a few more guests. Your sister who is 10 will be about the same age as my friends daughter.

Your youngest siblings are about the same age as my two girls.

If your mom or dad join DIS maybe they can contact me so we can arrange and on board play date

Just joining in. Our first family cruise. DH, DW (myself) 2 DD ages 10 and 9.

We haven't told the kids yet. Thinking of making it a bonus to a Disneyworld trip. It's hard to shock them now, but I think this might just work. Can't believe I'm reading up (and getting excited) so soon.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
