well I guess I iwll post a few photos from our last Disney cruise, maybe that will get you ladies talking.

ok, see if you can pick me out of this group of banana heads. There is one older lady who is older than me, but hse never posted, just was along with one of her adult kids. Just be getting a feel of my personality by my posts, see if you can guess which one I am.

Ok, here are a few photos to give you a feel for my personality, maybe that will help pick me out of the photo.

If any of you have a photo of yourself in a group or with a couple other laides, post it and we will see if we can tell who you are? This could be a fun group project if you all post a photo.


Ok, here is my dining room

you cant eat at my table because too many Disney characters are having a pirate party.
all the bandanas are from the ships parties, the tall plastic glasses are from the ship too, so are the gold coins which are actually pirate chocolates and the wooden Pineapple we got at nassau

Mr. Potato head has a captain Mickey hat on and eye patches. If you look at the china closet behind them you can see it is filled with Disney stuff too.

Notice King Louie swinging from my chandelier, he has a pirate treasure map under his arm

This is what people see as they enter my front door.
I dress them in different clothes according to the holidays too, that is why the small turkey is left on the table. He was left over fom Thanksgiving.


My kitchen counters have lots of Disney cansiter sets and cookie jars too

I decided I wanted silouettes of Disney characters on my patio/pool deck so My husband drew a silouette of 3 characters and cut them out of plywood so he could paint them on the concrete for me.

Not bad for someone who doesnt draw to do.

By now your probably going back to the group photo to find the middle aged lady who looks like she is a bit off her rocker and that will be me By the way, we are all mixed up in this group there are only a couple of people who are next to their mates, most are jumbled thoughout the stairway.

well this will be my last photos for today. I do show mercy once in awhile and dont want to bore you too much, of course if you were posting more there would be no need for me to ramble on like this. HINT HINT HINT!!!


yes we have a Disney guest room

we took the cut outs from the pool deck and painted them and hung them on the walls too.

I cant show the other pictures of the room because you can see my reflection in the dresser mirror but on the dresser are a bunch of Toy Story characters and a mickey waste basket next to the dresser.
Curtains match the bedspreads and there is a goofy telephone, some disney pictures on the walls and a Mickey pirate flag on the wall.
My younger grankids love this room. The teen grandkids toss a coin to see who will get stuck in there

I love your posts! Favorite character....my sons is Stitch, and when you meet him, you will know why. Daughters is Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto...I think anyone. I love them all, but I am a big Stitch fan, too. Dh can't decide. We would love to try to meet up with you all!

My first cruise question...when do we get our documents? We leave for FL next Saturday and the suspense is killing me!

they usually arrive about 2 weeks before the cruise.
If you used a TA to book they will go to the TA instead of you then the TA will send them out to you. If this is your case, then call the TA and ask if they have arrived and pick them up in person to save you a couple of days.

well since we live so close I have only stayed in a couple of disney resorts.
But so far The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite. I love mountains and old west stuff so this fits me best.

How can you tell if the price dropped? We booked with AAA, and I know my agent won't look unless I tell her...but there are no Cat 12's available on the site anymore, so I can't check?

you can check other TA sites like www.allseastravel.com or go to DCLs website and see if anything is left there to discount.
Usually if we see it discounted on all seas we can call DCL or a TA and they will discount it, as long as it is the same exact room.

Orbitz and travelocity will also list DCL prices.
But it is up to you to watch for the prices. some TA's will fight tooth and nail NOT to giv eyou the discount, AAA did that to our friends. They finally talked to a supervisor and stuck to their guns stating other TA's honored the discounts and how next time they would go with them and such, then they gave it to them. They loose some of their commission so they hate to do it.

We are a little partial to Stitch at our house. MY DS loves stitch (only he calls him Stick) and we joke that our dog acts like stitch.

My favorite resort is POP. Probably because we are too cheap to try anything else. We do that so that we can take a vacation every year. I guess I figure if you are on vacation who cares where you sleep. And you can probably guess that we book a Cat 12 GTY. Its all the same to me.
Kathy you sure have added some entertainment to our thread. Welcome!!!!
Also is anyone doing the fish extenders? I had a thread a while ago about where to get them. Kathy you actually PM'd me. Little did you know I would be on your cruise. I am planning on making one. (who am I kidding.. I was planning on asking my mom to make me one)

Good morning ladies,

Sara, I have my extender but wasnt sure if i should bring it.
The idea of having them is so other dis members can put goodies and trinkets in it during the cruise and I didnt know if anyone here was interested in doing it? Of course they do dress up the door area nicely even if you dont get stuff in them.

If anyone is going to have one, PLEASE let me know because I want your room number so I can find you to give you a treat. we are in 6137 and here is my extender.

Sara, if your going to hang one I will bring mine too, but please give me your room number so I can put something in it for you.


Ladies dont worry if you cant sew, I didnt use a sewing machine. I just went to walmart and bought a small piece of disney themed material then a small piece of off white material for the pockets and sickers to decorate the pockets with and some fabric glue.

I just guessed at the length which after tucking in a hem was 24 inches and about 8 inches wide. I put a small piece of bubble wrap between the front and back layers to keep it alittle stiff while hanging up.

Then I cut out 3 squares of the same size and tucked under the edges the same to look like a neat hemmed edge, I ironed them to make a crease there and then glued them to the long piece and then stuck decorations on the pockets. I did glue a small dowel at the top which I got a walmart for .30 cents and tied a ribbon to each end and glued in place. That easily slid over the fish to hang by the door.

It is easy for anyone to do and fun too. I hope a few more of you will do this too. Many put their names on the pockets instead of disney characters too.
