Jan. 22- 29 , 2011 Western Caribean Cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

What hotel are you staying at? We are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Airport. I think we got a pretty good deal bidding on Priceline.
How are you getting to the port? We have a one way car rental. This way we can pick up a few things before we board the ship.

Can anyone confirm that there is a grocery store and liquor store near the port? I don't want to be wandering around searching for them. Will the liquor store even be open in the morning? We hope to be at the port as early as possible so we can get on board and book Palo and sign the girls up for the tea party.

We are staying at the Wyndham by the airport and are getting transfers through Happy Limo for a 10 passenger van as there are 9 of us. They will do 1 15 minute stop so am hoping to find something convenient along the way to grab a bit of alcohol and anything else we need. I think we will plan to arrive at the port about 12:30.

Hello Magic January 22nd Cruisers!

We just found this forum! :cool1: We are a family of four traveling on this cruise - our first Disney Cruise. Two adults and two kiddos - one boy, age 9 and one girl, age 3. We have had so much fun reading all of the posts. We are new to the boards - so still learning! We look forward to meeting everyone!

We would also like to participate in the fish extender exchange - if you still have room!

Can't wait to cruise - it's gonna be so much FUN!!!! :woohoo:

WELCOME! Glad to have more DCL newbies aboard! Kelli is the FE contact and since you cannot IM yet, she will probably IM you so you can respond. And there is ALWAYS room!

3 Months we will be cruisin with Mickey! I can't wait!

Ok, back to bed for me, maybe tomorrow will be a better day

Thank you for the info on the FE group. Didn't know we needed to have a certain number of posts! Guess I should get busy! Ha!

Please get well soon! :cheer2:

Welcome to the thread PartyofFour! We are DCL newbies as well and have found this thread very helpful and welcoming. I'm sure you will find it the same. It is so much more fun to share your excitement with others don't you think?

I do look forward to meeting everyone in person on the ship! It's going to be a great cruise!

Good morning everyone! What a glorious day! I feel WONDERFUL! 17 hrs of sleep tends to help some I guess...lol.

Today, after I clean my hosue, I am hoping to do a trial packing run to see how many suitcases I need. I hope I have a good idea of what I am bringing since this will help with creating my list. Summer is officially over here so since I have to pack up the summer clothes anyways I may as well pack the ones I need to cruise in the suitcases! Go figure! I had a semi inteligent idea while I was sick in bed...lol.

Well ladies and gentelmen (and kids) 3 months we will be cruisin and enjoying some (hopefully) beautiful weather! So cool here today, 2°C and RAIN!

I CAN'T WAIT! :banana::yay:

Welcome partyoffour!!! Glad to have y'all along! I send you a PM in just a sec... You have to have 10 (I think) posts before you can PM.

SO GLAD you are feeling better!!! I need to do some packing readiness too. I also just found a dress I love that I am trying to convince Bert I need desperately and will die if I don't get to wear on the cruise! :lmao:

Oh, and as far as rotations go, I would like 2 but only because Parrot Cay is on Tuesday and that's the one we liked least and I am trying for Palo that night, but really doesn't matter. It would be really nice to have Lumiere's on formal night! I am still waffling on what time to schedule Palo...

Well, since Lumiere's has the highest votes, I am requesting Rotation 3. Now that may not mean that is what we get but it's a start.

It'll be nice to know ahead of time! Let us know what Abraham says! Thanks for getting all of that information!!! :lovestruc

Yes that is very cool to know ahead of time....
I will be happy with anything i would not have known what we were getting otherwise, anyway....so:confused3...THANKYOU!!!

Good to hear you are recovering Chrisse and Kelli a new dress is definetly exciting! Just remind him how much planning and work you have put into this cruise for him and the kids and ofcourse advise him on how stunning you will look in it and really how can he not understand that. Plus the cruise won't be the same for him and the kids if you die :rotfl:

So what excursion are you actually waiting up until midnight for? Is there one particular that sells out quickly?
Just curious what everyone is doing in each port?

So just curious what airlines those of you flying to Orlando are flying with? especially my fellow Canadians?

I am getting so frustrated with Delta but don't really see any airlines with better options but these changes are putting me over the edge. You would think I should be used to dealing with this in my job but ahhhhh its such a pain. Sorry just had to get that off my chest. :headache:

Good luck with the excursions to those of you staying up late be sure to let the rest of us know if it was worth it ;)

I'm not sure if I can be much help with the airline question. We live in Ontario and are close to the US border so we always fly from Buffalo, NY. We use Southwest. They have good rates and don't charge extra for luggage.
I guess maybe the best way to compare airfare is throughe expedia or cheapoair maybe. Good luck.

DCL is planning my flights since it ends up being cheaper for me. I have NO idea which line I will be on but from what I have researched, I would LOVE it if Air Canada was the line of choice. I am pretty sure they will be flying me out on Delta though. What are the changes that have you so frazzled?

I hope I can get the excursions I want but I have to wait until Nov 08th. From what I have read here, no one is doing the same excursions I am. Maybe i will be lucky!
