Jan. 22- 29 , 2011 Western Caribean Cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

I have been crazy busy with volunteer duties (not to mention kids!) and have not been here in quite a while, but I am popping in here this morning to say:

FOUR MONTHS until we're heading down to sunny Florida!! :thumbsup2

Have a great day, everyone, and Kelli: I PMed you my email address. Let me know if you need any other info from me, ok?

QUOTE=Lokkabear;38287775]LMAO! I was wondering if it was your "special" bar... I was going to say something but held off...lol I am not the one who wanted to go! You were! You were taking me though remember? I just have to find rubber seat covers first.....[/QUOTE]

You've got that right!! :scared1:

Hi, my name is Michelle, this is my first time taking the disney cruise and I would like to be part of the Fish Extenders and Cruise meets. My husband and I have cruised on other cruise lines, but this will be the first for disney. My twin boy and girl who are 9 will be taking their first cuise. We are very excited and would like to be apart of the FE. We are traveling with another family who also have two children. They have been on the disney cruise before and have given us some insight on what to expect, but this is there first 7 day cruise.

Welcome Michelle & family!! I know you can't PM yet, so I'll PM you and let you know what info I need from you. If you go to post 32 (I think) that will explain a bunch about FEs and what we'll be planning.

You've just given me some great FE gift ideas - perhaps travel size lysol and lots of hand sanitizer, lol.:rotfl:

Julianne

:lmao:

OK, it is snowing here today! Does that mean we are close to cruising time?

OMG!! That is just insane! It was 95 here yesterday. We had 2 football games and all I could think about was fall weather. Do y'all even get a fall? My DH said y'all probably get summer on 4th of July weekend... ;)

I actually wouldnt mind checking that place out soemtime....but no didnt go there this time........but did get a coupon for there:lmao:

I did not eat one on a stick but did have one with a fork.

It would be interesting to see a place like that, but I would certainly NOT be taking MY clothes off! Besides, I have a feeling it would be like a nude beach. The people taking their clothes off would not necessarily be the ones you would WANT to see without their clothes! :rotfl:

Actually, I like the regular Key Lime Pie best. It's so good it doesn't need a coat of chocolate. I just like saying Key Lime Pie on a stick... :confused3

Got it! Thanks!! Can't believe it's ONLY 4 more months. At the same time: 4 whole months to go??? I have GOT to get started on those FEs...

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I see ALOT of Canadians on this cruise... where is everyone from? I am in Northern Alberta, 2.5 hrs NW of Edmonton.

I'm from Ottawa, Ontario, but I have family in Jasper. I haven't been since I was small, but I'm dying to get back there some day. It's hard not to fall in love with the mountains, even with all the snow.

I just wanted to mention that as fun as they sound, we won't be participating in the FEs this trip. I know once we have kids we'll have to do it at least once, if the finances allow.

I checked on my reservation for about the thousandth time this weekend, and even though the countdown said 127 days, I still got excited. I'm hoping for a relaxing vacation where I can just sit and look at the ocean as much as I want. I know doing Disney begs for excitement at least part of the time, and I am really looking forward to the fireworks, but I've been able to relax at Magic Kingdom, so I know it can be done.

For now, happy planning everyone!

I feel like this week could be cruisin week! -6°C(21.2°F) last week and this weekend will be +23°C(73.4°F)!

Can we go yet? I am too excited to wait!

Bought the new PassPorters DCL Deluxe starter kit. Can't wait to get it in and read it!!! Hoping it will make time go by faster!

OK! So who wanted to sit with me durring second seating dinner?! I will gather info and call or email Abraham my favorite DCL agent and set it all up!

Got the emails!

And I think Dizzi wanted to sit with us, not sure if that is still the plan. I hear there are tables for 12 so we can fit a family of 4 with us yet. I am gone for the weekend but I will get it all sorted out Monday with my wonderful Abraham! I will just need to find out what info I need to give him.

Have a wonderful and warm weekend! We are up to 15°C today but yesterday was 25°C!!!

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT IS US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE want to sit with you all for DINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOOO FUN!!!

DD and i have been talking over Pirate night, we are not sure we will go to dinner for pirate night.....we always end up somewhere shoved to the very end of the deck party because we go to dinner and dont get a good spot.

We dont think we re doing that this time.

We are thinking of eating in Topsiders and then finding the perfect spot for the party and fireworks and all the great surprises that go with them!!!!!!!

We always do somekind of dress up for pirate night but this time we are thinking of doing Pirate PJS!!!! Why not if we are not doing dinner ane it is going to be chillier than we are used to for a cruise so definitloey leaning to pirate pjs!!!!!

just dropping in to say HI:goodvibes
so just trying to get some ideas of what to do at the ports..... wondering what everybody was planning:confused3 Any ideas????
I can't stand waiting!

Hey all - we are SO very excited to head to the Western Caribbean with everyone!

My DD is 13, and looking forward to teen activities. We sailed on the Magic two years ago and had an AMAZING time!

Anyone out there with teen daughters or sons?

More later!:cool1:

My DD is 14 but will be in the stack this time she is soooooo excited!

ROYFAM!!!!!!!!

We just cant decide what to do at any port.

I have to say, we had the very best excursion EVER in Puerta Vallarta and it is so hard to top it that i have a hard time deciding on excursions.

Also....LOVE HIM....My Dh is a bit on the CHUBBY WUBBY side and somethings we cant do....that i would like to do....like horseback etc because of weightlimits.

So to answer you..........I AINT GOT A CLUE YET!!!!!!!

IN KEY WEST.......we are pretty sure we will do little to nothing.
........................ WE can go anytime we want and one way to save $$$ is make that sort of like a sea day for us. Maybe get off the ship just long enough to gt some pics and some key lime pie.

CC.................DD wants to do the stingray excursion, and i think i want to do the 5k run in the am. i dont know if we will snorkel or not, if we do we will take our own gear so save more $$ there too.

The other 2 stops i have heard have good snorkleing so maybe one of them, we will do a snorkel but have though that finding a really nice hotel that offers snorkeling might be a good route to go instead of an excursion.

We might do a dolphin encounter as our one big excursion?????????!!!!!!!!?

Welcome Caymanfan! Glad to have y'all along! For anyone new, check out post #37 if you are interested in meets, FE's or scavenger hunt...

Hi Everyone (first post so pls bare with me)
My name is Sheila and this will be our first Disney cruise. Joining me will be DH Mike and DS Jensen who will be 2 and a half at time of sailing. DH's parents will also be coming and his sister's family who have DD7 and DS4. This will be my sister inlaws famillies first cruise and everyones first time on DCL.

Think the kids are all game for FEs so once i can PM I will send you our details Tinkerkell!!

Welcome Cheechow!! Glad to have y'all along! I'll send you a PM and hopefully you will be able to respond to that...

Cheechow, welcome! My daughter will be a couple months short of 3 at the time of the cruise so our kids will have company. :) Are you getting a crib or doing bedrails for your son? I'm on the fence about it since DD is still in a crib. :)

dizzi - I SOOO want to do the 5K on CC. Have you run them before? I have done one before but 2 years ago and need to start to train for it again. Think it is a good goal to stay fit for the cruise. :)
