Ok, time for the final plans.
Tea - Monday 3:00 Palo's
Poker - ???
Dismeet - how about Sunday at 10:30 in the Promanade lounge?
Sounds good to me!::yes::

Sending PD to those with bad weather headed their way  We just dealt with an unexpected icy mess yesterday but thankfully it's mostly gone today.

I can't wait to get on the ship!!!! :Pinkbounc

Pixie dust to all of you who are going to get the snow.

Thank goodness we are leaving tomorrow a.m.. The snow is supposed to hit us Friday, midnight and last through Saturday with accumulations greater than 12 inches possible.

We will be glad to get out of the snow, seems like it has been an every other day thing here for a couple of weeks.

Must get packing and get organized.

We are outta here :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Our flight leaves at 6:00 a.m We will have to leave early due to the snow. There are already several inches of snow on the ground. I just tell myself it is really white sand. The weather in Cocoa Beach is forcasted to be 75 tomorrow. See you guys there.

For Poker on Monday we are meeting at 3:00 at the Outlook bar on Deck 10. My DW is making me use a lime green tote bag for the "supplies" so you can't miss me. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

OK...we are almost ready. Pedicure, done. Tan mist, done. Packed, well, almost!

Just to recap:
Dismeet: Sunday 10:30 Promenade Lounge
Tea: Monday 3:00 (meet outside of Palos)
Poker: Monday 3:00 (meet in Outlook bar, deck 10)

Unfortunately we may miss the Sunday meet because we have made Palos brunch reservations at that time through REAS. We are in room 6058 if anything changes. Only about 36 hours till we are at the terminal. Hey, only two more hours till my birthday! I think I know which one I'm more excited about!

I will have on a lime-green mickey sticker. Be looking for DH and I!

We are out of here before the snow! YIPPEEE!

Maureen- my DS is 5 and a bit shy at first as well. Perhaps they'll meet in the clubs. His name is Patrick and he'll likely be wearing a red baseball cap w/ Mickey on it.

Travel safely!

Liz

Liz. My son's name is Daniel and hopefully they'll run into each other in the club. It always helps to have a friend. Thanks for mentioning the baseball cap. That's one thing I forgot to pack! Daniel will probably be wearing a Mets cap or a white cap with Mickey on it.

I can't wait until tomorrow!

Maureen

I think were all packed!!! we leave in 6 minutes. Thought I would sneak in one last post! See you tomorrow.

Just wanted to stop by before we left (thankfully before the snow hits)!

I'm soooo excited and can't wait to see you on the ship!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Well we made it. We are currently on board. Got my wife some spa reservations, three baby sitting sessions booked and a kayaking tour at Castaway Cay. We are in room 2570 if anyone wants to meet up.

Have a great cruise :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:. Hope you give us live reports I love reading those.

Hi Everyone!!

We are having a great time so far!! Dinner was wonderful and the service in all areas is as great as it always is! We left the port with overcast skies but know that we will be sailing to somewhere sunny tomorrow!! We met firsttimemom in line at the cruise terminal! I was surprised that we even ran into another Diser with so many on board. Hope you all have a great time on our cruise and althought we would love to we have Palo brunch scheduled for when the Dis meet is. Bon Voyage!!

Thanks for the report. alot more people would see & enjoy it if this was posted on the main cruise board. I hope you have sunny skys & warm weather everyday.

We're home and looking out the window at snow. Certainly not happy about that! I was thrilled to meet so many other DISers onboard- especially like princesscrazy said there are so many people onboard. What are the chances of being behind a DISer in line?

Just wanted to give those of you w/ kids in the club a heads up- Lindsay (she was in the 5-7 yr old group) came home with pinkeye and a double ear infection. She had a nasty cold the day we left and I heard reports of at least one 5-7 yr old that was in bed w/ a fever and rash for a couple days while onboard. So we avoided the dreaded norovirus but there were some other bugs floating around onboard.

So who else rebooked while onboard? We rebooked for a 7 night western in may '06 and a 4 night for the same month. We used our disney visa so we have 6 months w/ no interest on the deposit while we figure out which one to do. Of course I suggested we do the 4 night, get off and go to the parks for a couple days and then do the 7 nights. That didn't go over well w/ DH. Not to mention the kennel bill for our dogs...

Hope everyone got home safely- I was thinking of Cadburysmom as I saw reports of more ice in NC.

Liz

Hi! We're back too! Daniel did great in the kids club although he only went in on Sunday and Monday. We were able to go to the brunch at Palo which was terrific. We went on the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Martin which was a lot of fun. We also went on the sub in St. Thomas. Daniel loved both excursions.

Liz - what was your dining rotation? We started out in Parrot Cay and had great servers - Den and Martin.

We didn't rebook our next cruise yet. We're planning on going to St. John at the end of the year. We usually cruise every two years.

We had a wonderful time. Now to face the mountain of laundry!

Maureen

We're finally home!

After a 30 plus hour trip from the ship, we are finally home. Our luggage, however, is still on vacation. Our 1:30 flight from Orlando to Charlotte was cancelled we were then booked on the 11:30 which had not left yet. It finally left Orlando at 3:00. We got to Charlotte after our 4:00 flight was to have left, but it was delayed repeatedly. Finally, we boarded the plane for Charleston, WV. However, after 2 hours on the tarmack, we were cancelled due to mechanical problems. The sensor indicated that the door was not closed properly. So, we were given vouchers to stay at the Sheraton. But the hotel was full and all the US Airways reps had gone home. We were left to find our own hotel and transportation. At 12:30 a.m., we got to a hotel. We got up at 6:00 a.m. and went back to the airport. We were assigned to a 10:25 a.m. flight to Huntington, WV about 50 miles away from Charleston. Our lugguage was kept last night, but we had our pj's and toiletries from Friday night still in our day bag. We arrived in Huntington this afternoon. All of our lugguage did not arrive in Charleston. We are still waiting for three more bags. Two bags did make the trip and some of the items were wet because it had been set out on the runways in Charlotte in the snow. I am most concerned that our pictures are in one of those bags. Anyway, we had a magical trip and it was such a joy meeting you folks. We did the W7 day in 2004, so we rebooked for the 4 day Wonder next January. Hope everyone had a better journey home than ours. Now, back to reality.

it was great meeting at the tea.
I had a good time
sorry I didn't get to meet more of you all
but here is our report

MOm and dad just got back from the doctors.
Dad picked up some kind of bronchitus(sp) from the ship
Mom picked up a strain of the flu (which wasn't covered by the flu shot) from the ship
my son got hit in the face by a surf board on castaway cay.
he got 6 stiches in his eyelid, a concusion(sp), cut up his nose, and broke his nose. Not to mention pushed his front teeth back, he was supposed to get his braces off next monday and that is not going to happen now. I have spent all day on the phone with the ins company and doctors.
