Jan 2011 Waitlist

We have a wait list for a THV the nights of Jan 23-24. We're at OKW from Jan 17-23 in a 2BR villa. My wife parents leave before the end of our trip, and we thought that we'd try a THV if they are available. Right now the 2BR at OKW is booked for Jan 23rd, so we have a reservation at a 1BR in SSR. We hope to get to stay in the same 2BR at OKW or get the try the THV.

I'm with you, Melissa! I have until Dec 24 to decide what we'll do. I think DH & I are going to stay at VGC regardless since we have all of our nights and it's not any additional OOP. I don't think my cousin and his family will want to move to the hotel side for the last night, so I'll have to cancel the 2 nights we do have if the wl doesn't come through. I'll be disappointed if they don't get to stay with us!

We are booked for BWV, Studio, Garden View for 1/19 - 1/26 and we wait listed for BW View...... same amount of points, but no luck yet.

But.... it doesn't really matter. Well...... not too much.

We are waitlisted Jan 6-8. Currently at SSR and trying to go to AKV where we are staying the first 3 nights.

I am batting 0 for 5 on waitlists so I'm not holding my breath. I guess I'll call at the 7 day mark but it looks like we'll have our first split stay at WDW. There are worse things in this world, I suppose.

Can someone confirm that I'm counting my days right? I check into VGC on 1/26. So, my 31 day mark is 12/26. Does that mean I can still cancel on 12/26, or would it be 12/25? (Is it at the 31 day mark or prior to 31 days?) I want to wait until the last possible minute, but don't want to miss that minute! We only have the 1st 3 nights of our reservation and not the third (and our guests for that room don't want to move) so I'll be canceling the whole reservation if that last night doesn't come through.

No luck here I will call every day from day 7 done to the day before we leave. I'm still thinking positive thoughts and pixie dust.

I got an awesome deal on airfare and figured MLK jr extended weekend would not be so bad- but apparently the marathon ends up being more than over a week extended vacation?! So we are booked at Saratoga Springs- never stayed but was there years ago for spa treatments when it was Disney institute- and my oldest took a class there-anyway we are wait listed at our home resort-BW and at BCR across the lake- with my kids it would be great to stay at either of those two-since my ds14 could take my ds10 to epcot and the whole transportation thing that we have worked out-which I would recommend to anyone- I am happy just to be in my favorite place in the world.
I do wonder though if DVC is booked then how crowded are the parks going to be? I still can't wait and praying for better weather than we have had here over the past few days!

We also got some awesome airfares so booked a lasst minute trip for 1/21-23. Had to book a solit stay BLT and SSR. We are waitlisted for BLT for the second night. Keeping our fingers crossed. I guess I will be calling every day after the 7 day mark too. I'll just add more pixie dust for everyone.

I'm at my seven days before check-in at OKW and my waitlist has not come thru. I will try a couple of times calling but I will live with what we have. It could be worse I could not be going.
