I think I would rather have the free dining. I put some numbers together based on last years rates and come up with this. It will be me and my mother in my room. I realize it is last years rates on everything but all in all it looks like free dining is great. See if I am missing something:

4/3 plan

Room:
3x92.00(MLK weekend)= 276.00
1x82.00= 82.00
total room 358.00
Tax 13.5% 48.33
Total 406.33

2 - 4 day PHP= 572.98

7 day DDP
40.00 per person
2 people 560.00

Total for 2 adults 4/3 $1539.00



Free Dining Plan

The only thing I see (and I could be wrong...is that the tix included in the *deal* are basic MYW tix - NO HOPPER! If you want hoppers you have to pay the extra on ALL 7 days! But, like I said, I could be wrong!

Hopping is a flat charge not per day.

I am pretty sure this is the correct price for the PHP. At least it is the price on Deb Wills' site. She lists the price as $296.07 for 7 day PHP for adult and $258.80 for a child. I just rounded off.

See siggie--DH says January (after my free dining pin expires and after DD turns 3 in Dec). Oh well. Better late than never....

I'm sure it's in the thread somewhere--any ideas when we can start to book for Jan? I'm thinking Aug 1.

You can book a room only ressie right now if you want. If you want to book a package the rates won't be out until August sometime. We're all waiting and watching to find out if the rates are going up for 2010.

We were able to get into CBR no problem last year. We had booked Pop Century, but changed it in November when the 4/3 deal came out. Do you have a resort in mind??

Just booked my stay and I am bouncing off of the walls excited. Booked Jan 23rd thru Jan 30th CR tower MK view. Now bring on those deals. I am trying not to get too excited because 7/4 deal did not come out last year until Nov6th but with the economy the way that it is I am hoping the deals will come out sooner! Also looks like for us that the 40% off would be a better deal but either will work.

40% should only be better than 4/3 if you don't want park tickets....buy 4 get 3 free works out to be ~42% off!
But I'm with you - can't wait for the deals!

I am booked under the marathon package but would prefer to do room, tickets separately.

August has been the time the rack rates for the next year were released in the previous years, codes for January and February historically came out in late October/early November. Mousesavers has all the information on that.

I doubt that Disney will come out with general public codes any earlier. I think they want to be within a certain time frame to evaluate long term booking before they come out. However, they tend to send of individual pins quite ahead of time. I would not be surprised if the first pin codes for 2010 will be sent out in August or September.

so, I am correct to understand that if I book a "rack rate" for january but then a better offer or an AP rate comes out I can upgrade my booking to the new rate? Is that the same if you book a package as well?
I have an AP so it will probably not be a package but I was just wondering?
Also, does anyone know if it's true that APholders can now add the DDP onto the room w/out park tickets?
