OMG! We are going to be at POP for the exact same time. We check in on the 10th and out on the 17th as well. That's never happened to me before. Who knows, we might bump into each other!

We were having some doubts about Pop because of it's crazy decor but we would have to spend 250+ more for the week if we switch to a mod, and we decided to just stick with Pop. Hopefully, we will like it. I'm loving the idea of a huge food court so close by! And now that we are finding out that we can use the gift cards for food...yay!

So I'm waiting for our AAA TA to open in 40 minutes.
Here's what we are considering:

1. Find out if 4/3free can be done on our current WL CL ressie, and if so, what the savings will be.
2. Find out the price to down grade to a garden view at the Poly, if that is more of a savings, we go with that instead.

We've never stayed at the Poly and it would probably be a long time before we ever would. Our family has always wanted to stay there, one of those wishing upon a star things We think this would be a good opportunity to try it. The never ending question: Is it worth it? Is it worth it to change to a garden view at the Poly from a concierge room at WL? We really like the idea of all that a CL stay would offer, but it's the Poly Bigger rooms, monorail, a resort we've always wanted to stay at and etc. I hate it when I can't make a decision, and I'd better hurry, rooms that were being offered on WDW website last night are now gone!
We figured it to be around a $725 savings to stay at the Poly over our current AAA price at WL CL without the 4/3free deal, plus the $200 gift card.

Just changed my WL for 1/20 to 4/3 pkg. The first cm I got said they only had courtyard with bunkbeds available and that I would have to pay for 7 day passes. Hung up and called back. Great cm said no st rooms available and I wouldn't be able to switch my dining plan room back to my AP rate because none were available I told him they said yesterday I could drop the dining and still have my st. AP rate so he worked some magic and guess what HE GOT ME THE 4/3 WITH STANDARD ROOM! We only had to buy a one day pass for each of us and get the gift card. Comes out to $100 less than St. room with AP alone if you take off the value of the Gift card.

That was a lot of fun yesterday! Thank you to the DIS member who posted their conversation with the CM to wait because they were about to go into a meeting to get the specifics!!!! Since then, it's been quite the E Ticket Ride!!

I called as soon as I saw it on the WDW website at 5 pm. and I was the FIRST CALLER!!!! I'm sure there are many call centers that WDW hires, but when I called everybody in the background cheered and the Cast Member said they were having a party and would do this for the first caller which I was!




Anyways got a good discount with the AKL Savannah view, but might not be staying all 7 nights because we have a condo at Disney's Vero Beach resort booked starting on night 6??? Two more nights at AKL with animals out of our window or relaxation with the beach???

We've stayed at the POP and we LOVED IT. We're going back in 69 days!! My kids say it's their favorite resort, and we've been all over. Little know fact - they have the only ICEE machine on Disney property! And it's so inexpensive we can get two rooms and not be so cramped. The Food Court is huge - and it's really good. The rooms don't have the double sinks like the mod's but it's got lots of Disney touches.

I'm sooo excited! I ended up booking our package online b/c my AAA TA left at 5:30 (and her line was busy until then...no shock there) and I kept getting the "all circuits busy" message on all the Disney numbers. I'm so happy b/c with the discount we're spending a little more than we planned (isn't that what Disney wanted?) but staying at the Contemporary instead of CBR. DH and I are THRILLED since we've gone to Disney twice and both times we mentioned how we'd like to be at a resort on the monorail (or even just onsite for that matter). We'll tell the kids after Christmas that we're going so after they have those "post Christmas" blues, they'll immediately have something to look forward to!

We upgraded to OKW 1 bedroom villa and counting the gift card, paid just $100.00 over our previous ressie at ASMu Family Suite. So now I have to go find some pics and reviews of OKW. I hope my fam will like it!!!!

I dont consider Going to Poly garden view as a downgrade. We love the Poly and considering its about $100.00 per night then WL it cant be considered a downgrade. We saved almost $900.00 off the AAA rate plus the gift card. I am so excited. Its only $800.00 more to stay at Poly compared to a value.

Omg, I was freaking out last night. I was on hold with my AAA agent for AN HOUR, and when she finally did get through to Disney, she said that PoP for 2 people, Jan 8th - 18th WASN'T AVILABLE!

She offered me to upgrade to POFQ, which is where we stayed last time, but even with the discounts and the gift card, we would of had to pay $150 more than we were paying.

Thankfully, I called Disney myself and got POP for 10 nights, Jan 8 - 18th, dining, 10 day park hopper tickets, 2 adults for $2042.00!!!!

YAY code! And yay to the boyfriend who said I could have the gift card because I had been the one code tracking!

Did anyone get the confirmation e-mail yet? I applyed the code last night and the CM said that she would send out an e-mail with the updated information but I have not received it yet.

I haven't got mine yet and I did mine last nite too. I called last nite and they said give it 24 hours but I'm getting worried.

I just made the change!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

We were at WL for 3 nights 2 day base tix with DDP for $1369.22. No discounts on that one. So we changed to 7 nights at CSR with 7 day base tix, no dining for $1251.66. I figured with the $120 in savings and $200 in gift card, that would cover a lot of our dining (I hope!). I also just changed airfare, but that did cost $96, but 7 whole nights in Disney - yay!!! Oh, we'll also save on the rental car that I need to cancel. CM told me that they can arrange for a rental early on the morning we need to drive to Miami. Not sure what that will cost, but certainly less than the one we had for those 3 nights/4days.

I booked a room only last sunday and it took 24 hrs to get the conf. email.
However, I called yesterday, first guy was a dud and made me mad. He would NOT give me a price without dining. I kept telling him I did not want dining, I wanted just room and tix. So I ended up saying bye bye, picked my kids up, came home and tried calling again.
This time I got an awesome CM who was soooo freakin helpful.
We're going 3-10 and couldn't change the airline tix, so we booked a single day (3rd) and just base tix (can do without parkhopper for one day I suppose ) and then booked the package for 4-10 and got 6 nights with 7 days of ph...NO DINING hahaha, and saved about $150 from the rack rate and will get the gift card. I'm so happy. The savings should pay for a brunt of our food, and I feel like I got a deal
Oh, and we're staying standard at POP. Woo hooo, we stayed there last time and the kids loved it (they are 5 and 2 now, 4 and 1 last year when we went.)
Now I feel like I can start planning and quit stressing over the ressie!

My happy dance:
I had on hold from last week a standard room at WL from Jan 17-25, with 8-day park hoppers for 2 adults and 2 kids with dining for $4147.

Called last night for the promo, and for a Courtyard View at WL with bunkbed, with 9-day hopper and dining for $3689. That's a savings of $460, then add on the $200 gift card, which is a total savings of $660. Yahoo!!! Loving those discounts.

I was unsuccessful on applying it to my cl room, but I have read (maybe on the other thread) about others who got it. I think the availability is probably extremely limited for club level. I didn't want to give up my akl cl room and my travel dates are fairly limited, so it didn't work for me. I was able to save using the aaa discount. I started the aaa application on the phone, waited until the cm told me it was available, then pushed the confirm button with aaa. I got my membership number immediately and I was able to provide it to disney. I am going to keep my eyes open and may check again in another few days because availability does change.

yes. At least I didnt have to sit on hold to get her. I've never taken the survey at the end but I think I will from now on. They ask diff. questions about your experience with the cm. Maybe if we all relay our experiences with bad cm's they will be weeded out.

Thanks for asking! I was actually unable to get anything last night, and I was ! For my dates, there were no moderates available, except CSR Club Level, which was more than the deluxes, even with the deal! No WL, no GF, only Ft. Wilderness cabins (and my d would have killed me if I booked that - she's not the cabin type ) or AKL, both of which were more expensive than the current AAA discount that I had.

But (of course, there's more to the story!) I went on-line this morning, and CSR waterview was available - my AAA room only reservation was CSR standard. I don't care about the waterview, but that's what they had. Anyway, I priced it out and, with 1 day base tickets (I already have UT tickets), I'm paying $6 more than AAA. With the $200 gift card, I'm ahead! (Oh, and GF was also available, but I didn't have the extra $1000 lying around!)

Absolutely - availability seems to change at a moment's notice! See my story above! Ten minutes after booking, I wanted to look again, just to make sure I didn't miss a standard room, and CSR was unavailable again!

DO KEEP CHECKING!!! I just checked again and got it! I originally was supposed to stay AKL CL 4 nights, now we are staying for 5 for the same price plus the $200 gift card. Woohoo!!!! I looked for a 6th night (with the plan to leave late during the day and not sleep in the room that night) but it wasn't available.

My TA at AAA could only get a courtyard view w/ the 4/3 deal. At first they told the TA that I had to have an 8 day pass The price she quoted me for a courtyard view was almost the same as the Poly, so guess what I chose?

Totally agree I switched from WL CL w/ AAA to the Poly w/ garden view and saved $717 over the WL room and $818 off of rack rate at the Poly And let's not forget that $200 gift card

My TA tried to modify our existing CL package ressie, but Disney said that there were no CL rooms available during our dates and they couldn't apply it on our ressie we had The TA then tried to book us a garden view room at Poly and they said there was nothing available. I looked online and it said it was. I called Disney myself, booked the room at the Poly, paid the deposit, and then called the TA and cancelled our WL CL. We get the full refund of our deposit back on the WL room. I double checked w/ everyone at Disney, when I called and when I chatted w/ a CM online and they assured me that the adr's that the IPO office booked for us w/ the WL CL room would remain intact and wouldn't be lost or cancelled. I'm still going to call disney dining and double check though, b/c I need to try and change one of the adr's anyways.
