Kind of off subject but I see that you are from Herkimer... I will be visiting your neck of the woods soon... my DS is playing in the area All State Music Festival and it is held at Herkimer High School Nov 21-22....not sure how to get there though...

I'm losing faith! Although, really, if what that article says is true and they are having trouble, I would think that the codes will be there and that they will be enough incentive to get our booties down to Orlando!!!

And I can't wait to vote today!!! The election is really enough excitement for one day, right???

Me, too. I'm at the point where even an announcement of "Nope, sorry, no codes" would be OK - at least it'd be over!!

Wow!!!! The school is close to me-my daughter is in 7th grade there. Take the thruway going east get off at exit 31 I believe-it's the Herkimer exit. Once you go through the tolls, take a right at the light. Continue to the next light (you will see a gas station & subway shop) Take a left. Go to next light (you will have a Rite aide on right & KFC on left) continue through the intersection. Go 4 streets up (Can't remember the st. name-when I go to work this morning I'll get it) take a left. The school will be up about 2 blocks on left. I'll get all the street names for you & PM you later if that's ok. It's not too tough. Actually you only have to take 3 turns off the thruway.

Thanks for the post, I enjoyed reading the article. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am restless and discouraged. I know codes are "iffy" but was really hoping. Guess I better start figuring out how to earn some extra money to pay for my trip!!!

I tried to open the link to the Jim Hill article and all I got was the banner and some advertising stuff. I'm on dial up access and everything takes FOREVER so I don't really want to try again. Could someone give the "Cliff Notes" version of the article. Why does he think there won't be any codes? Thanks for any help. As everyone else here, I have been lurking on these boards instead of working, instead of doing house work, instead of feeding the critters, etc. waiting to see if there are any codes coming out and I really should get back to doing what I am supposed to do. Especially work, if I want to pay for this vacation .

Do you all remember when some at CRO said "Call back later today" or "Check back this week", etc? Making us think they know something. Well, I wondered and posted then if they just say that to make us excited yet get us off the phone with them and now I believe I was correct. I don't believe that CRO knows at all. Maybe some higher ups but the phone crew I don't think does.

Cliff notes version: Nothing will be decided as far as direction/building of Disney until after the election.

Mickey likes biden but doesn't care which person gets president.

Disney has postponed building a new luxury hotel.

Disney hopes whoever wins will rally people to "go out and spend money".

Disney's profits were down .03% last quarter.

Honestly I think this might be a good sign for a code. Supply and demand. If people aren't travelling and spending money then they should give incentives...supply and demand.

I'm with you on this one. I can't imagine Disney would offer any jaw-dropping offers if resorts were fully booked and people were coming out in droves. If travellers are staying put, spending is down, and rooms need to be filled.....then maybe we'll see some Disney code records be broken with some very, very, nice incentives.

So take heart everyone who is feeling frustrated!! Hugs to you all . This waiting stinks.

How late do you think they'll come out? Do you think they would TRY to have them out before the earliest date that people would have to start paying off their balances for Jan. trips? So like around the 17th or 18th or something?
