Jan 2007 codes?

I am thinking I got a bad quote on my land part of my trip. We want BCR for 6 nights, Premium package, and 5 day MYW base ticket, plus airfare... came to $5,400! And that's with our AAA discount! Then our cruise came to just over $1,800. I thought that was pretty good.

So we put down $3,000 and are changing to CBR. Hopefully that will bring down our balance ALOT!!!

Anyways, a discount code would really help! :teeth:

We never travel in january-is there usually a discount?

Jan is slow season for Disney, so usually they offer some type of incentive to travel.

I'm also planning a trip in January hoping to avoid the crowds, have never been there in January before. What is the weather like?

might need a ap code but my gf knows a guy with the dvc so old key west for jan 2nd -6 but we need dining added and tickets maybe if i don't get ap's

MinnieMomof3, in a word, January weather is unpredictable. But it can be glorious! Shorts and t-shirts during the day; jeans and a light sweatshirt or sweater at night. I pack both and a lightweight jacket and swimsuits. ;) We have seen highs of 85 and lows of 40. Mostly it's 70's during the day and 50's in the evening. We're from PA so we love the weather - the warm isn't hot and the low's are cool and mild, at least to us. :beach:

How many months in advance does Disney usually get out the discount codes?

Historically, Jan discounts come out in late October/early november!! Can't wait for October...

Subscribing - Would like to plan a trip for dd and I somewhere around Jan 10th thru the 16th. Need codes.

waiting right along with everyone. I'm having a girl in Nov. so my family is going down Jan. 12-23rd and I can't wait! Here's to wishing for free dining!!! ;)

Sorry but I have to wish for NO free dining. I would rather pay for my dining and have the parks all to myself. Last Jan it was a little crowded so if they offer free dining than we will see big crowds. I would rather pay. However I am waiting for the codes to come out for the resorts. That would be helpful. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I agree, I'd rather pay for my food and avoid the extra crowds in the park as well as in the restaurants!! I'm hoping for a resort code. :)

Us Italians need a code to, we'll be at the Wl from the 1st till the 6th of January.

tink4ever - It was more crowded than you expected last January? May I ask which week you went and what types of lines you encountered? Thanks! :wave2:

Subscribing. Booked for what we could afford. But hoping an AP rate comes out. Let my last AP expire so I just ordered an AP voucher as a back up to reserve online if phone lines are too busy when and if AP rates are released. We are staying at Poly 1/4 through 1/7 for Marathon and then WL through the 12th. Has anyone ever had any luck getting an AP rate on Marathon weekend? I would not expect many would be available. I did expect the week following to be a little easier to get availability.

I've asked this before a couple of times but still no answer :confused3

I am new to codes----I have a couple of questions

DH and I booked a package--Hotel,tickets and dining...Can we still use a code if it comes out??

Can we use a room discount to bring down our room price?

Will we be eligible for a buy one night get one free type deal if we have the package?

Anyone out there correct me if I am giving the wrong information...

I understand that if you have a package booked (at full price or otherwise), and a "code" (promotion) comes out, you (or your travel agent) can switch to the promotional package, as long as the promotion would be available for the resort, etc. for which you are booked. For example, I think that sometimes there is limited availability for certain types of promotions (i.e. if there is a discount for Annual Passholders on resort rooms, or even a general public discount on resort rooms, there may only a limited number of rooms available at the discounted rate at each resort. That's why some posters are writing about the "telephones lines being busy" and everyone on this thread wanting to know right away when a "code" comes out - so that we can all get in on it, because lots of people would be calling at one time to get the discount). For other types of promotions (such as the free dining which was offered earlier in the year for package stays occurring this fall), I believe the availability of the promotion is unlimited, as long you switch over your package within the time deadlines.

The reason everyone is using the term "code" is because when you book or (in your case) switch your package, you would have to make sure that you (or your travel agent) gives Disney the "code" for whatever promotion is available.

Maybe you already knew this, but even if no "code" or promotion comes out, you can still book a package with AAA and get a AAA discount on the room rate (20% off value and moderate resorts; 15% off deluxe resorts during value season). I think you have to book with AAA directly to get this room discount, if you are getting a package (tickets, dining, etc,). If you are only getting the room (no package), then you can get the AAA rate with any travel agency (if you are a AAA member). Again, if a promotion comes out at any point before your trip which is valid for the time of your stay, you should be able to just switch to the promotional package.

In response to your last question, I don't think WDW has offered a buy one/get one free resort deal, but I could be completely wrong! :goodvibes

Again, someone out there correct me if this information is not correct

Bravo, mtrak17! Excellent information! :thumbsup2

Had to scroll too far to find this so here is a big bump.

So it seems the trend has been a room only or maybe a ticket type discount.

Seems like the weather can be all over the place.

And seems like the crowds are the lowest around.

All sounds good to me!
