Jan.2006 code watch!!

What's everyones opinion on whether the free dinning plan will be extended into Jan. I sure hope so it's a great deal. Is there any history of Disney extending promotions from one slow season like Sept into another like Jan.

I am crossing my fingers for this as well. I am going to wait to see if they do it in value season at the end of the year (beginning of Dec) and if so I am going to hope they do it again for vaue season in Jan/feb! WE WANT IT!

Oh- and I am going to book and pay off my package with the paid dining and if they do the free dining I will use the extra money paid for room charging!

Usually not. remember when the had buy 4 get 3 free, that was only for the fall months too.

About the only thing in January is codes for rooms.

We'll be watching for AP rates. We have two rooms booked at WL woods view for DH, me, 2 dds, ds and DMIL and DFIL. We are hoping to upgrade to courtyard if AP rate is good.

Got both my fingers and toes are crossed on this too! If all I can get is a code for our room -- so be it... but free dining would sure be cool too.

I need to watch for the codes in Jan for Marathon weekend! :cool1:

Throw us into the January soup pot as well :earboy2: We go down every January. This January will be from the 7th - 17th.

Us too ! We want to join ! We're headed either the week of 1-21 or 1-28 for 7 to 8 nights !! Haven't decided yet ! :dancer:

I've only been to Disney (non summer) in the first week of January. It still had reasonable crowds (especially the weekends) but the weather was great and I really enjoyed it. Question is if the 2nd week to the end of January is alot better for those that have been at both times.

Probably a mute point since my wife is a teacher and usually has to go back after the 1st week.

We are planning on going sometime towards the end of January! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: This will be the second trip for my husband and I but the first time with our children (4 & 15mo.) . I can't wait to see my son's face when he gets to see Buzz Lightyear.

This will be our first time visiting WDW in January. What do you like about that month? I know the crowds are low. How do you find the weather to be?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I was on vacation :-)

We love January because crowds are low and wait times are almost non-existant. The weather is questionable at time, but compared to Michigan in Jan. Florida is GREAT. Last year the weather was fantastic, two years ago it snowed one day!!

Disney is so much more relaxed and slow paced when the crowds are low in Jan that we usually spend 4 nights and are able to go more than 7 or 8 nights in the summer.

My DU agent just booked our Jan 20-30 trip for us & after seeing the total price, I'm really hoping for some sort of code!! LOL

I'm so happy to be back to our usual time of year. We love Jan/Feb! Our Sept trip was just too hot!

Also looking for a Jan code (travel dates Dec 31 - Jan 7). I booked Jan 1-7 with an AAA discount (20% off) so don't really expect a code to be any lower (POP $62 plus tax night, AAA rate) but you never know.

I called about AAA rates for Jan 14-21 for CBR and/or WL. CBR was quoted at $111 a night + tax, and WL was quoted at $174 a night + tax. Considering we had a pin code for May at POFQ at $79 a night (and that's regular season!), I am still hoping for a code for Jan. I will have a hard time paying over $100 a night for a mod during value season (of course, I'll do it if I have to, and I'm sure Disney knows that!!! ).

Hi everyone,
I am really enjoying this thread!!!! :cheer2:
We reserved our room/tickets through Disney! We can't wait to go! :cool1:
We love January. We can't imagine having to wait in long lines, be in large crowds, be in FL summer weather if we went any other time of the year. Disney is always better than WI in Jan... :goodvibes
Question about our plans: Can we still call Disney to apply discounts that we find through this thread, Mousesavers, etc. or if free dining comes out? Or should we book through somewhere else? Like AAA, travel agent?
p.s. what is CRO?

CRO = (Disney's) Central Reservations Office

Yes, you can apply a code later
