Jan.2006 code watch!!

ohhh I haven't looked at anything for January since coming back from my trip in Sept/Oct! I'm so excited to see that there are some discounts coming up in the near future!!!

Well, the BRP rates have been dropped. I checked online last night and they dropped our rate to $210.74 a night inc tax from $239.74 a night inc tax for a savanna view room at the AKL. So Disney was true to their word that they would automaticly drop the BRP rates. Maybe this is a sign of a new public discount rate coming out soon.

I called this morning and the person I spoke to said that she could not give out any discounts in advance of them being released, I said I had heard this was in fact happening. She also would not even confirm for me that discounts were upcoming. Maybe too many of use jumped the gun and they got tired of calls about it.

I just got unofficial e-mail from TA that the rumor of the free park hopper and MYW passes is what has been rumored to her as well.

Just thought I would let you guys know that I called 3 days ago and spoke to a cm and booked for a week in January. I told him I had heard a rumour about an upcoming discount and he booked my reservation with free park hopper and water parks. Just thougth I would let you know. Do you think it might be a better deal coming out and if so will they change my reservations for the better deal?

I booked my week at the POP but now wondering if I should have booked at the all star movies. Anyone been to both if so which one do you recommend?

Thanks for your help.

Michelle

Hmm, interesting morning dove. ASMo and PC are both value resorts, PC is newer. We've enjoyed both (ASMu in our case) but we really like PC. Check them both out at www.allearsnet.com

Hi all!

I sent my travel agent a notice about this discount that is supposedly coming out on Nov. 3rd. (I book through AAA). She said "I will re-price your package then and see if it is available to rebook for a lower rate. If it is available I will just go ahead and rebook it and e-mail you the new price." That is fine & dandy, my question here is... Since I have a confirmation number already & have booked all my ADR's & 2 tours with this confirmation number what happens if she re-prices the package, do I get a new confirmation number or is the same one used? If I get a new confirmation number does that mean I lose all my ADR's & tours that I already paid for :earseek: . At this point I am a little confused :confused3 Can anyone explain this situation to me?!?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi
I got a quote from AAA and basically got the same info. I asked the question you had and was told I'd keep the same confirmation number they would just reprice based on any discounts. Hope this helps.

Bumping up.

Anyone hear any more news? It just seems to be dragging to Nov 3d.

OK. Good news. Straight from my TA who spoke to her disney district sales manager. There will be a discount on MYW packages. It may or may not include dining but will probably be a whole package discount. The manager kept hinting at 5 night stays or more. She mentioned the whole water park/park hoppper and that might be included as well. However, she assured me that there would be more...a discount on the whole package. It will be officially released on Thurs. Hope this clears some stuff up. FYI...Typhoon Lagoon is closed in Jan/Feb. Keep your ears up people! :cool1:

Here's hoping your TA's manager is right!!

I had posted earlier about reserving and they had given me a pin for January. Not sure what type of deal I received but I reserved 7 nights for my dh, myself and dd 9 at the Pop Century with passes including park hopper and water parks and meal plan and my total was $1718.84 U.S. Not sure if that was a good deal or not. If they release a better discount will they give us the better plan? As for the free meal plan again I was told it was a one time thing.

discount and don't plan on using the pool parks at all [Jan2-7] can someone figure out if this will save me any money? Or are we still hoping that the official date 11/3 will show room discounts? Thanks.
This sounds similar to the pin code warm and fuzzy that some people had received, doesn't it? Of course, I received the fall one after I had reserved my Jan trip and no pin code for this trip [they must plan it that way! ;o)].
