We are thinking about taking the family (4 of us) to DW the first week of 2007 (first day in the parks would be Wednesday the 3rd). What are crowds like that time of year. We have been twice before in late February and thought the crowds were very manageable.

I would like to know the same thing, we are planning on 1/1-9/07.

Will the marathon still be the weekend after New Years like it was this year?

We were in the World thru 12/29/05-1/4/06 and noticed a little bit of a crowd decline on 1/3 & 4/06 from prior to New Years but nothing huge. Anyone there 1/5-10/06 for Marathon Weekend with crowd experiences????

DW and I ran the 1/2 this year (1/7). The parks were quiet, MK on 1/6 (day before the race) and AK was absolutley empty on Monday 1/9. The only congestion you'll encounter is; if you decide to drive to any park on 1/6/07 or 1/7/07. Also, EC has a 5K on 1/6/07, at least they did this year, that runs through the park around 11:00 AM. Epcot is also the end for both the 1/2 and full so you may encounter "some" runners and cones. It's a good time to go in general..... And root us on next year!!
