Is this doable? If so, how? Fantasmic! should be over by 7pm. We are staying at VWL and will not have a car. if not, what time should we make the ADR?

We are eating a late, heavy lunch at Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic Dinner Package), but want to feed the DDs and DS soon after the show. An alternative is to eat a CS meal that night (but not at DHS) and make another ADR for later that week. Your thoughts would be much appreciated?

I think it would be really tough to do this without a car.

I disagree with your assessment of Fantasmic's ending. I think it would end close to 7:15 or 7:30 than 7. Then you'd have to wait on and ride a bus from DHS to WL. This would be another 30 minutes or so. It would be a really tight schedule. 8:30 may be more realistic, if they take ADR's that late.

If it were me, I'd just eat at Roaring Forks that night after you get back from DHS, and make the WCC ADR on some other day when you're hanging out more at WL. We're doing WCC on my oldest DD's birthday this year. We may go to MK a little earlier that day, but won't be doing much else that day, except maybe swim. We're staying at WL.

Fantasmic is a long show, call it 45 minutes and you're standing up to leave by 7:15. Then allow 15-ish minutes to get to the front gate with a few thousand of your new Disney friends. Then you have to catch the bus... now with only a few hundred of your new Disney friends. If you are lucky, you'll be getting on the bus by 8, in my opinion. Maybe you can either change the rez to 8:30 or just show up late and hope they'll still honor it.

Fantasmic! is actually a 30 minute show, so your estimate of a 7:00 finish is right.

If you can get seats in the last row near the exit, and if you're fast enough to stay ahead of the crowd on the way out, you might make it, or at least be close enough to get there before they release your ADR. But you will have to rush.

If Fantasmic starts on time, which it ususally does barring bad weather etc., it will be finished 30 minutes later. So for this OP it will be done by 7. With a family of 5 it will be slow going to the entrance and onto the bus. IMHO you'd be testing your luck to make an 8pm ADR. However I don't think you'd be too late. Given the time of year you are going they'd likely be able to accomodate you if you arrived late.

Call them though if you are stuck on the bus. Let them know where you are, what's up and how long you'll be and they will appreciate it.

You and thousands of your new best friends are all going to be heading to the buses, at the exact same time. I would do one of two things...
1. cancel WCC and eat at Roaring Forks
2. change your ADR time at WCC to 8:30-8:45. Much more doable.

Not sure what I was thinking when I made the ADRs, but I appreciate the wisdom of all who shared. Thank you! We'll try the Roaring Rorks (or DHS) CS option and defer the ADR until later in the week.

1. we did Fantasmic with the Dinner Package and sat on the right at the top by the exit so we made a relatively fast out but it is still quite a long walk from the theater to the exit and then the bus.

2. we were routinely 10-20 minute late for our breakfast adr (crystal palace, Norway Princess breakfast) and we wre always accomodated, although that is breakfast not dinner. The one meal we wer ontime for at Chef Mickeys (Dinner) they were 20 minutes behind in seating
