Hi there! Joining in the fun. It will be me and my mom Cindi on this cruise. I will be celebrating my 33rd birthday on cc day. Can't wait!
What excursions are you all thinking of? I'm leaning towards the horseback riding and falls one in Falmouth, but am at a loss for the others. Any suggestions for 2 semi active adults would be most appreciated. I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome to the group :) I am not sure about excursions for 2 adults as I have two girls on the trip. We are going to do the dolphin swim in Grand Cayman and I am undecided on the horseback riding. Both girls want to do it, but I have to book through the company because Sam is only 9. Disney you have to be 12, so I am not sure about that one. Oh, I am not sure about Cozumel yet. I was going to do the Mayan Ruins, but I am still thinking about that one.

Sorry I am no help at all :upsidedow

Need to add 1 person to my room - Erin Bassey.

:welcome: Erin Bassey :welcome:

Kathy - that's awesome... the more the merrier :woohoo:
Is she the 4th Charlies Angel?

Does Erin want to join in on the FE? I'd think many folks are still working on gifts and could add her to their list.

Lise

:welcome: Princess Mindy :welcome:

princess: Mindy and mom, Cindi :)

I'll add your 33rd birthday to the celebrations list. Castaway Cay - how perfect for a birthday.

Is this you first Disney Cruise? Would you like to join the FE Gift Exchange? It's such fun!!!

Lise

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! We are super excited. This is actually our second Disney cruise. We went 2 years ago on the Fantasy to the Eastern Caribbean- it was amazing. The ship is out of this world gorgeous!

I'm not sure about the FE- isn't that typically a people with kids only kind of thing? :confused3

Yes please add Erin to the FE for my room. The Angels have indeed grown to 4 - lol

Hi can you please clarify this for me... I don't want to have less FE gifts then needed. There are four people in your room? Can you please list them besides yourself and Tracey? Thank you so much.

Here are Charlie's Angels...
9162 - kymickeyfan717 - Kathy and friend Tracey... and now Erin
8563 - Annica (friends with kymickeyfan717 - Kathy and Tracey)

Kathy and Tracey met Annica on a previous cruise and were tagged with the "Charlie's Angels" nickname :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I can't wait to board Fantasy. We've been on Magic 4x and on Wonder for one of the special West Coast Pixar Cruises in 2012.

Everyone has fun with the FE. We have plenty of participating FE cabins without kids. Out of 21 cabins on the Mickey FE, we have 5 adult cabins, and so far 3 on the Donald FE. In my experience, there are more adults participating than kids. The Mickey FE has 40 adults and 27 kids. I have sfun figuring out gifts for kids ... and even more so for the adults :yay:

I am signing off on this cruise meet, we moved this cruise to 2015. My cousin is getting married this fall and has asked my DD to be a flower girl along with a WWI Fly-in that DH wants to go to, we don't have enough vacation time to do all three.

I am sure she will make a beautiful flower girl princess: I hope you enjoy your new cruise

Ok why not? Let's sign up. There are 2 adults in the room. We are currently GTY so I don't know yet which room we'll be in (will I find this out before I show up at the port?), but we will be on either Deck 5,6,or7. Helpful, I know. What does the FE entail?

We'll miss you. I was looking forward to sharing our anniversaries together and meeting you beautiful little girl :lovestruc

Mindy,

Here's some information I posted earlier to explain our FE Gift Exchange...

:mickeyjum FE Gift Exchange :donald:
…a fun onboard gift exchange that adds to the magic of your cruise :tinker:
For those new to the FE, here’s a little more info:

What is a FE – FE stands for Fish Extender (see photo below). It works just like Santa’s stocking, but has a pocket for each person in the cabin. This is where you place the gifts you give. You can make or buy your FE. Instructions can be found here on the DIS. Fish Extenders are sold on eBay and Esty.

Why it is called a Fish Extender – On the Magic and Wonder, where this fun began, there is fish-shaped clip by the cabin door. This clip is where you hang your Fish Extender…thus the name FE.

The FE List – FE Gift Exchanges are customarily organized here on the DISboards. The organizer (me for our cruise) keeps a list that includes each participant’s DISboards name, cabin number, family name, individual names, genders and kid ages. This allows gifts to be selected to match those participating. Depending on the number of participants there may be more than one FE group (we have two). Most of the information is listed on the first post of the cruise thread. The formal list is emailed to participants.

FE Gifts - Participants give a little gift to each person on the FE list once during the cruise. Some cruisers prefer to give a family gift to the adults and individual presents for the kids. Gifts are homemade or store bought and are usually Disney themed, tropical or tied to cruise ports. With many cruisers flying and luggage space at a premium, gifts should be selected that are easily packed and can be safely transported home or are used up during the cruise.

Gift delivery - Delivery can be by assigned days or random. Assigning days insures a flow of gifts throughout the cruise. Random allows flexibility to deliver gifts as you have time. Either way is fun … it’s like Santa fills your stockings every day.

I hope this was helpful… I’m sure I missed something. Please ask questions :confused3

We gave names to the two FE Groups...
:mickeyjum FE Mickey - for those who joined the FE in 2012 or 2013 (except Ann117, SC3Mouseketeers, disneyglamour, who are unconfirmed)
:donald: FE Donald - for those who joined/join Jan 2014 – May 2014 (plus Ann117, SC3Mouseketeers and disneyglamour, if they confirm participation)

You will be in the Donald FE group. You can check out the first post to see who's in which group. I'll send out a list after we close the group. I'll need your email address at some point.

I was just looking at options for our cruise on MyCruisePhotos.com. Digital photos, physical prints, both, free gift of autographed character print, Free CD of you add this to that, etc.

We have bought packages shipboard in the past. Has anyone pre-puerchased online to get the freebees? Do you get the same perks onboard too?

Has anyone seen or bought the custom photo book they offer ?

I just love the look of that cover. I'd like to put one together for our past cruises too.
