Welcome!

I know there are some car services you can do as well for travel to the port which can include a grocery store stop as well. Probably cheaper than Disney as I think they are about $175 per vehicle.

I've only ever driven the port though.

Hi everyone!! We will be in cabin 12522. Me (Haidee), my husband (Jose), Adrian (16), Joseph (12), and my daughter Ava (5). Super excited and can't wait for this cruise!! This is our first Disney cruise too! Any info regarding how to get to the port would really help. Disney charges $75 pp and that's too much money:(

Are you looking for transport from WDW or the airport?

:welcome: Welcome Haidee :welcome:

DW Haidee, DH Jose, DS16 Adrian, DS12 Joseph and DD5 Ava

Fish Extender gift exchange feels a lot like hanging your stockings for Christmas. Participants join the FE list, then make/buy gifts for others on the list and make/buy a FE hanger with a personalized pocket for each person in the cabin example. Aboard ship we hang our Fish Extender on the hook near our cabin door. Other participants fill the pockets with gifts over the course of the cruise, and we do the same for them. Generally one gift per person or sometimes a joint gift for the parents and individual age appropriate gifts for the kids. I can add you to the list.

And the kids have a place to post too... Adrian and Joseph should check out KIDS ONLY - Aug 30 2014 ~ Fantasy ~ 7-Night Western.

Wow that sounds exciting & fun!!! I would definitely love to be added to the list:) I will look for ideas so I can start making our fish exchange thingy lol....

From airport

:drive: We always rent a car at the airport and drop it at the port. Then do the reverse when we return. The car rental companies have a free shuttle to/fm the ship and their location. It's just $29-39/day. The drive is easy, and it gives you total flexibility! :cool1:

Great...I'll add you! Are the kids ages you listed what they will be on the cruise? My daughter Sabrina will still be 13, so hanging out in The Edge quite a bit. She is already friends with a few DISkids that will be on the cruise. They chat on the KIDS ONLY thread.

Yeah that's what their ages will be on the day of the cruise...how many gifts do I have to buy to give?

I was browsing through utube and saw some cool magnets that say " Disney family cruise of the year" some even have the family's last name on it....

FE current standings… Adults 44 (Women 23, Men 21), Kids 28 (Girls 16, Boys 12). Total of 72 cruisers in 22 cabins. Details are on the first thread and I am keeping a detailed spreadsheet on behalf of the participants. :thumbsup2

Is a gift required everyday for the fish extender?

No, just one gift for the entire cruise.

I'm not sure if we've decided on random days or doing assigned days. The last cruise we did random delivery... some people deliver all their gifts on one day. Others spread out their deliveries covering a few cabins at a time. Our first FE there were assigned days. The reason to assign days is to make sure there are some gifts delivered each day (no empty pockets later in the cruise). Our two cabins were assigned the last day. We went around at midnight and delivered fun games and snacks for everyone's trip home. There is more of a discussion of the two styles earlier in our thread.

We upgraded to concierge at port on our last trip. We enjoyed the extras & we didn't even get the advantage of booking our plans 120 days in advance but here is what we enjoyed:

* Upon arrival onboard, they took care of booking everything extra we needed (alcohol seminars, rainforest room passes, excursions, etcs) - We were then given an internery of our selections
* Private Sundeck - the last trip was 100% for relaxation & being able to avoid people when we wanted was perfect
* Private Character Time - on last sea day, character came out at a special reception & ours was Stitch
* Being able to get a 2nd Palo Dinner without too much hassle when we politely asked
* Snacks seconds away for breakfast or during the day
* Access to Evian bottled water at all times (no needing to pay for it which was helpful on our walking excursion at St. Johns)
* Alcohol before dinner services
* Scale in the bathroom (although to some this isn't a perk)
* Never having to visit Guest Services as they will handled everything for you

You are also able to make your bookings for Cabanas, Excursions, Palo & Remy 120 days in advance.
