Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

What was in the air this weekend???? Seems like a lot of us were struggling this weekend - isn't that weird??!!!! I'm so glad you didn't quit - you WILL do this just like I WILL do this!!!!!!! You CAN do this and you WILL do this!!!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Yes, what was it about this weekend? I wanted to quit too, I am glad we all decided to knock that thought out of our heads!

You had 5 strips of bacon for dinner on Sunday?!?! I would have been starving if that is all I had to eat. What willpower! I  bacon but rarely eat it because I can't stop at a couple strips... it's the same with peanut butter. A couple tablespoons is just not even close to being enough, so I avoid it altogether!!

I'm glad you are feeling better about sticking with the plan. I know firsthand the frustrations with the scale. And I hate to hear everyone say that it will eventually start moving again, but deep down you know it is true! So hang in there and come back to WISH whenever you need a pick-me-up! I know it's saved me more than once!

You will do great on your trip, don't forget to splurge a little - it is a vacation after all!

Congratulations on sticking it out this weekend! I know how hard it is to stay enthusiastic and determined when the scale isn't moving, but just think of all the amazingly healthy habits you have started!

Keep up the great work, Jamie! You should be so proud of yourself! :grouphug:

You are doing awesome! Thank you for stopping by my journal! I hope you have a great week and keep up the good work!

Thanks to everyone that posts in my journal. All of you are an inspiration to me!

Hey Jamie!

It's you who are inspiring! You had a rough weekend and recovered so well! I wishing you some good scale visits soon!!! :goodvibes

Have an excellent night!
Mike :wizard:

You did a great job sticking it out! What an accomplishment and inspiration! Keep it up!

Great job - you didn't quit! That's what it's about - sticking with it for the long haul. It's hard, but worth it. Sometimes I just want to go eat everything in the cupboard, but I know I can't keep on like I was. I have to do this once and for all.

Good morning Jamie! :sunny:

I am so proud of you for keeping on! :goodvibes I think we all have moments where we would like to chuck the scale in the garbage and call the whole thing off. However, each time we press forward and keep on keepin' on, we become that much stronger and that much closer to our goals. ::yes::

I hope you have a healthy and happy week! :goodvibes Keep on keepin' on! :cheer2:

Rough days are just a bump in the road...I'm sorry you had to experience one.

You bounced back though...congrats! Good for you for stickin' to it. I. Am. So. PROUD!!!! Of you!

I totally understand the 'nothing's changing, I'm just gonna give up' syndrome. I've had it FOREVER!!!! But, with the help of DIS, I just can't, and neither can you!

Hang in there! Eventually the scale will move again!

Have a great week!

It was definately contagious!! It was an awful weekend. But things are definately looking brighter this week. Good luck Jamie!!

Oh! It is such an awesome feeling to feel better in my clothes! Woo hoo!

You working hard! :)

Hi!!!!

Thank you to everyone!!! All of you are the reason that I didn't quit....you are truly the best! We all can do this!!!!

Wow things at work really need to slow down. We bought not only one but 2 more companies.....so that makes my life so busy!!!! Plus with Sarbanes Oxley, we have auditors here and they won't leave me alone. I can't wait to get out of here for two weeks. I love my job, but things are just crazy. My team is driving me nuts, I don't show it to them though. I have been training them on how to do things while I am gone and if they would just take GOOD notes.....they would not have to ask the same question over and over again. The notes they take are not the best.....I am just frustrated with it all! I don't seem to have time for anything! Oh well......I am going to stop complaining, at least I have a job and I love it! So since I was doing something for the auditors yesterday, I didn't get time to DIS yesterday. So I am going to get caught up today! I actually have time to relax and eat/DIS today!

Monday was a really good day but I didn't get in much exercise. We bought iPods over the weekend and DH was messing with them and showing me all sorts of stuff, so we didn't get to bed until 11pm on Sunday. I knew that there was no way that I was going to get up and work out. I set the alarm just in case and well....it didn't happen! I did get the dogs out for a walk about 15 minutes and then I did yard work for 30 minutes. So I guess I can count the 45 minutes as exercise, but it was not what I usually do. But I more than made up for it last night! I drank a little less than 100oz of water. I am trying to get in at least 100oz. Anything above that is good, but I have my goal!

Tuesday was also a good day. Again, I didn't make it up in time to exercise, so I did 30 minutes of elliptical after BB and then I did 30 minutes of weights. Going to bed at 11pm is killing me. I just can't seem to do it. I am used to going to be a little after 9pm. I am sure that things will get better....at least I am hoping. I met my 100 oz of water goal Tuesday so that was a plus. I don't know why, but I wanted to drink something with flavor....first time I have wanted to do that in a while. So I made some juice and had 8 oz of that. It was Walmart's version on Crystal Light. Has nothing in it. I left the rest for DH to drink.

Monday:
B at 5:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S at 8:30 1 Nature valley granola bar
L at 12:00 turkey and cheese sandwich with 1 cup of sugar free jello
S skipped
D at 6:00 2 BBQ turkey hotdogs

Tuesday:
B at 5:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S skipped
L at 12:00 HC turkey and mashed potatoes....YUM! My favorite now!
S at 3:00 1 Nature Valley granola bar
D 1 grilled cheese sandwich with 1/2 cup noodle soup with chicken broth. I could not finish all my soup so I gave up! I was shocked, before I could have eaten all the soup and still been hungry! Not now!

I was really been wanting ice cream and I have it planned in this week sometime. I just don't know when. My DH wants it too, so when we have time we will go get some. I know I am not going to go overboard....very easy for me with ice cream!
TOM is coming this week and with tomorrow being my weight day, I am a little nervous...I am hoping for something...I would even take a little gain, just as long as that darn scale moves!!!!!

So after I check journals today, I will get back to work. I have to leave a little early because I have a nail appt tonight. After my appt I will fix dinner, not sure what yet, and then I am taking the dogs for a walk, DH has been giving them NERDS! And they love them. All you have to do is shake the box and Haley and Baxter are on the floor waiting for daddy to share! So we have to walk off the NERDS!!! Then I am going to jump back on the elliptical since I didn't get up this morning, and then do weights.

I hope each of you has a wonderful, bright day! Thanks again for all your kind words!

Hi Jamie-

Glad to hear that you didn't quit. This board is a great place to find encouragement!! I know I would be 3lbs heavier if I had not found it a few weeks ago. (Just wish I had found it a few months ago ;) )

Hope that work slows down a little for you. Sounds like you are doing pretty well though!

Have a great day.

Hi, Jamie!!

I know exactly what you mean about having "TOO" much work! I am going through that myself!

I think that you are doing awesome! Great job on all that water drinking! I can barely make the 64oz mark each day! I find that drinking a lot of water is a great appetite suppressant! So, maybe I should drink more!

Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you can't finish something on your plate b/c you were too full? I LOVE IT!! Especially, when two weeks ago, you were able to finish and maybe want seconds! Awesome job!!

Thank you for visiting my journal!

I hope that you keep up the awesome work-you will reach your goal before you know it!

:Pinkbounc

Jamie, I would like to say :wave2: back at ya!!!!!! Thanks so much for visiting my journal today! You helped make my day.

That is great that you are feeling satisfied with less food! I hope your scale moves (in the right direction of course!) for you tomorrow. Sometimes I think mine only has one number...

Giving Nerds to dogs? Yikes, I wouldn't think they would even like those!!

Good luck on your weigh-in, and remember, take whatever that scale says with a grain of salt! You look better and feel better and that's what counts the most!!

Jamie - I'm so glad you stayed!!!! You are doing so good and have set a new goal for yourself - drinking all that water!!!! That's a very good goal and a very good addition to you becoming more healthy. And one that will help you in the weight loss area and one that will be very easy to meet!!! BRAVO and good job on doing that.

It's kind of funny how we all one week wanted pizza, how we all wanted to quit or had a bad weekend this past weekend. Before you know it we'll all be on the same TOM schedule!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: (well, except Mike and Don - I hope LOL)

You rock Jamie - keep up the good work!!!

Keep on
Chris

I think you're doing great!!

How do you get in 100 oz. of water? Aren't you in the bathroom constantly? LOL

Hi Jamie!

I'm sorry to hear that work is kinda stressful right now. :( Just think... soon you'll be relaxing at the House of Mouse and work will be just a memory...Ahhhhhh :cloud9:

You are doing a great job! Keep up the good work! :sunny:
