Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

Hello!!! Thanks for stopping by everyone!!!

Yesterday was a pretty good day until I stopped at Walmart...Man then it got bad!!!! I had to stop to get a few things that I thought we had when I went shopping a week ago that we didn't have. Of course I had to walk by the candy isle.....and of course I have been craving Reese Pieces....so I decided that I would pick some up. The plan was to only have a few and then save them for today and tomorrow and the next day. Yea well that didn't happen. I had the suckers open before I got home and half the box was gone...(not a big box) Then when I got home I thought I need to put these away....Nope...I continued to eat them. By the time I knew what I was doing, the box was gone. What is the world was I thinking.....Oh well today is a new day and the good news is that I am not craving those little suckers!

Since the weather turned yucky on Sunday before I could grill my chicken for lunch, I decided to bake it. I had it yesterday for lunch and it was pretty good. I honestly was surprised. The last time I baked chicken it was really dry and gross. But this time it turned out really well. I was pretty happy. I would have been happier had the chicken been grilled but that is okay...Mother Nature thought I needed to try something different!

Monday
B @ 5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese
L @ 11:30 1 backed chicken breast marinated in Light Done Right Zesty Itialian dressing, 1 serving of green beans
S @ 2:30 1/4 cup ff jello
S @ 4:00-4:30 1 box of Reese Pieces :sad2:
D @ 6:30 2 corn tacos with lf cheese
Water - 120 oz...I was really thirsty yesterday. Not sure why!

I didn't get my work out in yesterday. I was so tired in the morning, I just could not sleep. I think I was up almost every hour. So I will do it tonight....I was going to anyways....but one day won't kill me!

Well I am off to journals....have a great day :)

Jamie -- I am glad the reese's pieces are gone. Hopefully the craving for them is long gone! The rest of your food yesterday looked great. I am glad you liked your baked chicken. I have taken to marinating any meat I grill or bake in fat free italian dressing. It really helps keep it moist.
Have a great day! And keep up the great work! :grouphug:

Don't sweat it about the Reese's Pieces (I love them too!). It's been a LONG time since you have splurged on something like that, so consider it a treat and move on!

I hope the weather gets better so you can get back to grilling your chicken! It does taste so much better on the grill, doesn't it?

You will get caught back up on your exercise in no time!

Hi Jamie,

Just stopped by to check out your journal. You are really doing great....PLEASE don't fret over the Reeses Pieces. I crave foods too and this weekend I was sooo bad. I ate.....CHIPS!! They are the WORST!

Good luck with your exercising....one day is NOT the end of the world. And you know how great you'll feel once you've completed the workout :). I love those endorphins!!!

Hang in there! You are doing an awesome job!!! :cheer2:

Jamie,
The good news is that you bought a small box of Reese's Pieces not a big bag! Maybe our yucky, wintery weather made you need something sweet. And sometimes skipping a day of exercise is a good thing, it gives your body and muscles a chance to rest a bit. You are doing great, just keep up the good work!

Jamie,
I read your journal last night. You are a great inspiration! While I was reading I kept saying to myself, "If she can do this, so can I!" You have stuck with your plan and lost 30 lbs :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: You eat great (except for the veggie thing, and I definitely can relate to that! :rotfl: ). You have tremendous willpower to pass up so many temptations (do not fret over the Reese's Pieces today!) You have amazing dedication to your exercise. There is no way I could get up at 4 am to exercise. I still haven't suceeded in getting up at 5:30 am to exercise! I am hoping that joining the May Challenge will help motivate me.

Congrats on your new job and it sounds like your new goal for your WDW trip is totally doable! You Go Girl!

Hi Jamie~

Stopping by to WISH you a wonderful Wednesday! :sunny: Don't worry too much about the Reese's Pieces... They are gone now. Wipe the slate clean and start a new! Today is a new day! :goodvibes

Take care! :grouphug:

Good Morning everyone!!! Thanks for stoppin by...I really appreicate all the support!!!

Yesterday was such a good day....food wise, exercise wise, water wise....just all the way around :) The weather was still yucky, but that is okay...this is spring time in the rockies!! Anything can happen! It is suppose to start warming up starting today!

We received our confirmation package imformation stuff from Disney about our trip...I am getting so excited I can hardly stand it. I swear Disney is all I talk about :) I noticed though that they spelled my DMIL name's incorrect. I was not going to worry about it but since we booked the airfare with Disney, I didn't want them to give her a hard time at the airport. So I called and it seemed to be an easy fix. They just changed it and said that they would send out a new confirmation with the correct spelling. So that is great!! Oh I just can't wait....maybe that is why I can't sleep at night...I just too excited!!! LOL I doubt it but it was worth a try!!!

Tuesday
B @ 5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 hard boiled egg - no yolk
L @ 11:45 turkey and cheese sandwich with 1/2 serving of goldfish
S @ 2:30 1 hard boiled egg with the yolk
D @ 6:00 1 1/2 hot dogs...I would have loved to BBQ these, but it was way too cold for me to be out there!!! so I used the old fashioned hotdog thing that I got for Christmas...I love that thing!
Water - 120 oz...Again I was really thirsty....not sure why but that is okay!!!
I did 30 minutes on the ellipitcal and 20 minutes on the bowflex...I think I may have done the bowflex a little too hard, my back muscles are a little sore this morning. So IK skipped weights today. I will do them again in the morning.

Thanks again everyone for stopping by...I really appreciate all the support that each of you give to me in my journal...without you I would not be where I am today!!!

Wow, you are doing great! Way to kick up that exercise! I agree with taking a rest from weights until your back feels better. You don't want to make it worse.

Keep it up! :cheer2:

Sounds like a great day for you! Take it easy on your back and have another great day!

ETA: OMG! I just realized I got tagged!!!   and it came from your journal too! Thanks Tag Fairy! :wizard:

Glad to hear you had such a great day yesterday!! Nothing like a Disney trip to get you all pumped up!! I think about my upcoming trip multiple times each day and it's still over four months away!

Way to combine the elliptical and the bowflex!! Keep it up!!

Just realizing that I always end sentences with exclamation marks!! Yahoo!! :)

Good Morning,

I had another great day!!! The weather was wonderful too....so I was able to work in the yard a bit. I pulled some weeds, watered the lawn, fixed some of my roses. I needed to move them up a little bit. I feel bad when I go into the backyard to work on the lawn or whatever though. The people behind us bought a dog a few months ago, I call him Jack. Have no idea if this is his name, but that is the name that I gave him. Jack is a yellow lab and absolutely adorable. I want to bring him in my yard!!! Anyways, he is left outside all the time, he has no shelter from the weather and no one pays any attention to him. So of course when he hears me he comes running. I may have started it, but when he came to the fence, I started talking to him....well then he started digging...he so wants to come into my yard. And trust me I would be more that willing to take him! Well his owners put something over the area where he has been digging and so he just walks up an down the fence now following me. He cries....so I continue to talk to him...I know he is lonely and I feel so bad for him....So it's hard to go out back....I know he will be there and I would do anything to recuse Jack but I can't. At least he has someone that will talk to him when he is out there.

We are going to PF Changs today for lunch...not a favorite of mine, but I will find some chicken or something there. I already know pretty much what I am going to have and I am not going to over do it. I am even going to skip the cookie at the end of the meal!! Someone else can have it.

I found out yesterday that every Wednesday someone brings donuts in for the office. I have seen them in there since I started but it was confirmed every Wednesday! The good thing is that they are Krispie Cremes and I can't stand them! Now if they were Llamars donuts...I don't know if I could handle that. I'd be all over them!!! I love Llamars donuts!!! However, I did go into the kitchen to get my morning snack and I had to walk right past the donuts and oh my lordy they smelled so good. I just walked away!

Wednesday
B @ 5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 cup yogurt
L @ 11:45 HC turkey and mashed potatoes and 1 medium apple
S @ 2:30 1/2 cup ff jello
D @ 6:30 1 1/2 BBQ hot dogs!!! Yippiee...I am so excited that I can start having my dogs on the BBQ!!! I love them!!!
Water was good again...100oz. I did the elliptical for 30 minutes, took the dogs for a short 10 minute walk and worked in the yard pulling weeds...Not sure if I would count that as exercise, but I was up and down up and down...so who knows!

Well I am off to journals...thanks for stopping by everyone!!!!

CACruisin'....so glad you got tagged....and in my journal none the less!!! I am still waiting!!

Great job resisting the donuts! I'm not a Krispie Creme fan either, except I do love the cream filled ones...

That is sad about Jack. We used to have a chocolate lab and he was a digger too! Labs are very social dogs and need tons of attention. I can't believe your neighbors are keeping him isolated in the back yard like that. That is the worst thing you can do to a lab! At least you are talking to the poor thing. What a great neighbor you are!

I love PF Chang's Mango Chicken. Look at their website and decide what you want ahead of time. They even list the nutritional information, so you can pick a healthy choice. You'll do great, you always do!

Hi Jamie, DS5 and DD1.5 love hot dogs, i don't mind one from time to time, but give me a brat with kraut and hot mustard! Krispy Kremes are good, but mostly just the glazed when they're hot, haven't had one in a long time.

Too bad about the sad doggie, my kids are begging for another one. We had a golden retriever from a rescue a few years ago, but he had trouble with the kids and wasn't happy so we took him back. Still miss him. We've decided that if we ever get another one, we'll get 2 so they can play together.

Keep up the good work, you're a fitness machine!!
     :thumbsup2

 You have the whole package going - you are eating great, resisting the donuts, drinking your water and exercising - Awesome! Like I said, you are a great inspiration for me! I'm not sure I could pass up original glazed Krispy Kreme glazed though ....

I love BBQ hot dogs too. I usually get Hebrew National from Costco. but I'm going to have to try some turkey ones. Any particular brand you like?

You are so good to talk to Jack. So sorry the neighbors are not good doggie parents. At least he can get some socialization from you.

Keep up everything you are doing - It looks great! :cheer2:

Good Morning all!!!

Yesterday turned out to be another good day!!! We went to PF Changs and I think I did pretty darn good!!!! I did skip the cookie...I didn't even want to look at them. Although, when I got home, I was starving...not really sure why. I didn't overeat at lunch, I had my snack in the afternoon, but I could have started in the fridge and not stopped until the pantry was clean :) I didn't though, but man it was tough!

I did work a little in the yard..talked to Jack...man I feel for him. I know I mentioned it yesterday but I just don't understand. I so want to call the animal control on these people, but I am afraid of what they would do. There are only three houses that are behind them so they are going to know it was either me or my other two neighbors and I don't want to cause any problems for any one else. I don't care what they do to me....DH won't stand for it, it's just the other two neighbors that I worry about. I just wish that Jack would dig and come over and I could hide him in the house!!! DH would never approve of it, but that is what I want!

Thursday:
B @ 5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1/2 cup ff jello
L @ 11:45 - 1 chicken lettus wrap, less than half spicey chicken and two small spoons of brown rice.
S @ 3:00 1/2 serving of gold fish
D @ 6:30 2 slices of sausage and 3 scambled eggs
Water was good...I drank so much yesterday...I stopped watching after 120oz. I have been drinking more water when we go out. Not really sure why....maybe it because it is super cold. I dunno!

My work is having a breakfast this morning for all the people that started in the first quarter. We get to go eat and meet/mingle with the exectives. I thought it was a nice thing to do....Not sure what we are having for breakfast...I was thinking that I may just have fruit. Who knows. Then this afternoon, we are going to go check out the new offices in downtown. When we get there we get to have a tour and they are giving us snacks with beer, water, soda whatever we want. Man this place likes to eat! I am thinking that I will go check out the new ofice....all depends on what time I have to meet DH. We have plans this afternoon, so we will see!!!

CaCruisin' - I love Ball Parks hotdogs. I can only find the turkey hotdogs at Walmart...I have tried other stores here in Denver and I can't find them. One of the girls that I work with eats Soy hotdogs....she said that they taste the same...I was actually thinking of trying those too!! I dunno though.

I am off to other journals....have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hi Jamie,

I'm sorry to hear about Jack. :( That is so nice of you to talk to him. :goodvibes Hopefully, his owners will realize that labs need attention. We have a dog that is part lab ourselves and she just loves attention! :goodvibes

You are doing a great job Jamie! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Have a wonderful weekend! :sunny:

You did great at PF Changs! You are truly an inspiration for eating healthy while dining out. :worship:

Do you know Jack's parents? Maybe you can walk your dogs by their house when they are out and hint that maybe you could walk the dogs together or something. Just a suggestion, I'm not sure how things are in your neighborhood...

I bet you are excited to see your new office! You'll do great resisting the bad stuff, you always do!

You have so much willpower resisting yummy food! Sounds like a nice social group of people you work with though.

lovinaz has an interesting suggestion for Jack. All of my brothers have Lab's. They are great dogs, and the do love their "people". :dog:

Thanks for the info on hot dogs. I'll look for them. :thumbsup2

Hi Jamie!!!

Have a great weekend and keep up the good work!! You are doing so well!

BTW...I LOVE PF Changs  . Oh my...I'm hungry just thinking about it now LOL!

Poor Jack :(. Some people just don't get it!
