Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

Great job resisting seconds on the salad! It's tough when something is SO good and you just want to keep eating and eating. I hope they have some healthy choices available for sandwiches!

Must be nice to not be hungry in the afternoons anymore! Could you please pass some of that my way?!?

Hi Jamie,

I just got caught up with your journal since I've been gone. Sounds like you are doing great. If you can resist powdered sugar donuts that are still in your house, you are one strong woman! I woke up to snow too, what a bummer! It got better as the day wore on however (at least at my house). Keep up your good work and thanks for always visiting my journal and keeping me motivated with all of your encouragement!

Wow Jamie, I don't know how you do it with donuts in your house. I couldn't handle having them in mine. I love them too much to resist the temtation for as long as you have. Good for you. It's just so great with all the support you get here. It really helps alot.

Have a Happy Thursday!
Shannon

Hi Jamie, Just stopping by to say hi. Hope things are well, we are having some nice weather this weekend, bet you'll be out on the motorcycles! Have a great weekend, keep up the good work!

Hi Jamie,
SNOW? in May? Yikes! Ok, I will not complain about the lack of sun in sunny CA anymore.

You are the willpower goddess to resist the powdered sugar donuts :worship:

You are making great food choices at home and eating out. You are doing great everywhere! :cheer2:

I want to thank you also for stopping by my journal. I really, really appreciate all of your support!

Good Monday morning,

Whew it has been one heck of a few days! I logged in on Thursday and well that was as far as I got. I logged in again on Friday and that again was as far as I got. Things got so busy that I didn't have time to come and post. I may have mentioned it before, but the other supervisor here had a death in the family and so she was out quite a few days last week. So I had to take on her workload. Not that it is a big deal, I do it every day even when she is here, but last week just seemed to be very busy!

The last part of the week and the weekend went really well....I am not going to post everything that I ate, but I are pertty good. The good news is that DH finally finished the donuts...I actually forgot that they were there to be honest. I put something over the box and I then I forgot about them! He didn't though, he finished them and then told me how good they were!!!

We went out to dinner with the inlaws on Saturday for Mother's Day and then we headed to Walmart afterwards. I picked up the PS2 game The Incredibles. So far it is tons of fun. I love those kind of games...We bought Monster's Inc. a while ago and I was surprised at how much fun it was. After I finished the game I told DH that we needed The Incredibles. So he finally let me get it! I saw that they have Finding Nemo out too...that is next on my list!!

Did some yard work this weekend, mowed the lawn, pulled weeds and than pulled tree roots! Speaking of tree roots, I was going to post this on the CB as well, but our neighbor has this tree, I think it is an Aspen and the roots are growing into our yard. Now that would not be a problem, except that the roots are growing little trees on them and they are coming up through our rocks, grass and then an area where we had a shed in the back yard. How do I stop this or can I? Does anyone know?

Well I am going to get to other jounals....thanks everyone for stopping by. Have a great day :)

Hi Jamie!

Sounds like you had a great weekend! :goodvibes I hope you have a wonderful week ahead! :sunny: Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Wow, that is a good question on the tree roots! I have no idea how that works. I know if their branches are over your yard you can trim them. At my other house we had that problem, but I just mentioned it to the neighbors and they had the tree trimmed back. But roots is a totally different story. I would definitely talk to the neighbors about it to come up with a solution. Let us know how it turns out!

I'm glad the donuts are gone. It's much easier to behave when that kind of stuff isn't lurking in the background!

Jamie - great job with the eating! You even forgot about the donuts being there...nice to see you got to have some fun this weekend with the new game! And I wish I could help you with the tree root problem. I'm sure the neighbor is ultimately responsible for it but have no idea how that would get resolved.

Sounds like you had a good weekend, Jamie! Congrats on overcoming the donuts! I came really close to stopping at Krispy Kreme tonight (the hot light was on and everything!)

Thanks for stopping by my journal! You brighten my days!

Have a great week!

Hi Jamie,

I am so impressed about those donuts! You had those in the house since like last weekend didn't you? I couldn't have done it! Sounds like you are busy but still making time to be healthy, way to go. And as for the tree thing, Aspen trees really do that. I just pull up the suckers when that happens. I don't know how to control it really, my own do it but the way they are planted they only spread in my own yard! I have never seen trees that can spread the way they do. Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

Hi Jamie,
Those tree roots don't sound like fun. I wish I knew something but unfortunatley I'm at a loss. Sounds like you had a nice weekend though. Hey, thanks so much for coming over to my journal and lending support. I hope you have a Happy Tuesday.

Shannon :)

Jamie - just popping in to say hello and hope you have a great day!

(see...you are contagious!)

Glad you had a great weekend! Good for you covering up the donuts so you didn't see them. I hope things are calmer at work this week for you. You are doing great! :cheer2:

Hello....wow is really has been too long since I last posted. It has only been a few days but man I really could have used the accountability!

I logged in once after I posted last. I was in training all week and then went I got out I had a ton of work to do.Today was the only day that I really didn't have any training to do, so it was caught up time. I think today was the only day that I was good... :sad2: But at least the good part is that I am learning new stuff at work!!!

So I really needed to get to the grocery store....we were running really low on a lot of things. So I made it today after work before DH made it home. I usually go later at night, but I have been so tired that I didn't think that I was going to make it. And plus this weekend is suppose to be really nice so I am sure that we are going to be out on the bikes. I don't want to have to stop and go grocery shopping!!!

As I said before today was the only day that I was good!!! I don't know what happened but I just decided that I since I could make it to WISH that I didn't need to eat right. Not sure what I was thinking....it was defintly a food fest. Although, I did weigh my self and I am still at 180....I just can't seem to get that stupid thing to move. I think I need to shake up my workouts. I am going to have DH bring my bike down so I can start riding that again. I think that will shake things up a bit.

Well I am off to other journals...thanks to EVERYONE for stopping by even though I have been MIA. I really need the encouragement.

Have a great weekend!!!!

Hi Jamie, glad to see you're back! Don't worry about the scale, sometimes I think our body needs to adjust to a weight before it can drop some more. Bike riding sounds like a great way to rev up those workouts! I hope you are having a great weekend, keep up the good work!

Amy

Sorry to hear about your food fest this weekend! But at least you didn't gain because of it. I think you are right about changing your workouts. Try a different, more challenging setting on your elliptical and increase those weights! And I know you hate them, but try to squeeze some more fruits and veggies into your day. It will fill you up, plus it is so healthy for you!

You are doing great, don't get discouraged! :cool1: :Pinkbounc

:wave2: Just wanted to say hi and see how you were doing. :)

Hi Jamie~

Stopping by to see how your week is going so far. I hope you have a great day today! :sunny:
