The Plan

Chef Mickey’s for breakfast. Magic Kingdom. O’Hana’s.

The Reality

I originally wanted to book breakfast for 6.45 fortunately 7.45 was suggested at the time of booking and we went for this. I think we were about ten minutes late by the time we had dragged ourselves out of bed. We had to pose for a photo before we were allowed in the restaurant. We ended up buying the photo but it wasn’t very good as we were both tired and had been arguing over whose fault it was that we were late. The meal was very lively and we were the only table that didn’t have kids. Our table was stuck out the back but we still had loads of characters join us at our table and we got some good pictures. We had taken the car due to the early start and as I wanted a couple of drinks at O’Hana’s later we had to drop it back at the hotel before making our way to the Magic Kingdom. There seemed to be only one way out of the Contempory and it didn’t seem to be going in our direction. I was just looking for somewhere to turn around when we arrived outside POR. We took the bus back to Magic Kingdom.

This was the busiest park we went to full of families trying to avoid the hurricanes in the south. We went left on entering to go on Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise before to crowds built up. Unfortunately they weren’t due to open until 10 o’clock so we went in the Tiki Rooms. As it’s a Small World was closed we had to content ourselves with singing the annoying Tiki song all day. The queues for the kids rides were very long so we skipped things like Pooh and Peter Pan until later in the day. Jungle Cruise and Pirates still weren’t open so we headed to Tomorrowland. I managed to get a high score on Buzz Lightyear due to it stopping to let a disabled passenger get off. We did all the mountains a couple of times and I spent a couple of quarters in the shooting arcade. It was still very crowded so we left late afternoon to make our way to O’Hana’s stopping at the Grand Floridian for a beer on the way. We thought it would be nice to see other resorts but it could prove expensive. I now want to stay at the Grand Floridian next time.

We arrived early at the Polynesian so got a couple of cocktails at the bar. In the restaurant we enjoyed great entertainment and loads of food and almost got into an argument with the waiter when he wouldn’t stop putting shrimp on our plates. We saw a bit of Wishes and then spent two hours getting back to our hotel via Downtown Disney and that bar again.

heck I love all food......Now I want to go to eat there too. AND I JUST RETURNED..........thanks so much for your report and the fun you had...
