I like the middle combination of ties! The pink with navy Mickeys is really nice with the diagonal striped one. Tomorrow we are going to meet with a personal shopper to see if we can get my fiance's wedding suit picked out so that the other boys can get theirs sometime soon!

a personal shopper I see... are you using J Crew? we are going this week to get my suit as Banana Republic. I hope. Still working on getting the boys outfits finished. Good luck with getting the mens attire done.

I know this is not entirely wedding related but I just can not wait until we get to WDW. Here are some of the things we are looking forward to doing once we get there.

I have been on a diet and have been dreaming of these brownies. Fudge and buttercream yum. As soon as we get to Animal Kingdome I am getting one of these!

I know when we get there the boys are going to go swimming. It has been such a long winter we can not wait for the warm weather. If you look close you can see me swimming in one of the WDW pools.

I know Jeff is going to be taking a couple of naps while on vacation. Between work and kids I know he is exhausted. This is what I am sure he is going to look like!

It is going to be a great time. (note... all of the pictures were taken while we were at WDW for our planning session. so they are kind of wedding related )

About the ties.

earlier I tried to order a Mickey tie online, however, it was damaged and they could not sell it to me. They did not know if they would be getting anymore in so I purchased the above Mickey tie instead. I love the tie but it is just not perfect. Last week the tie I wanted was still listed as unavailable, but yesterday was listed as available. I put my order in today. Fingers crossed they have it. I have not gotten the dreaded email that it is not available and will be refunding me. I continue the search for ties for us and the boys and we be combining ties up to the last minute.

Quick update

Talked to my wedding planner Diane on thursday and sorted out most of the details of the wedding. It is finally starting to come together. By the way love Diane. I can see why she has this job, she really put my mind at ease. I can't wait to finally get there. Diane really helped get the budget on track and offered some great solutions. We had transportation for almost $500 dollars with the charter coach. I was thinking about dropping it all together but Diane instead came up with renting minivans that seat six to eight. They are$25 dollars one way. We are renting three. Two to pick up at Animal Kingdom lodge and another for our other guests at pop century. Since the ceremony and reception are at the Boardwalk there is no need for additional transportation. After that Disney's free bus transportation can take them anywhere they want to go aftewards. What a great solutionl! I also wanted to ride the Mickey bus on our ceremony day anyway, since I was on one when we got engaged (by text message) .

I showed Jeff the new BEO and you should have seen the look of relief on his face. He was so happy he finally slept through the night, because he did not have to worry about finding the money to pay for it. (Jeff slept most the night. Jasper has a habit of stepping and sleeping on through the night ). I am not sure he thought I was doing when I told him I was working on wedding stuff. Apparently he thought I was adding to the budget. Instead We chipped away at the budget but have kept more stuff than I thought we were going to, so I am happy.

The cake budget has remained!(thought we were going to sacrafice a tier to save money) It is going to be three tiers still and have a Mickey theme and some pink roses and the rest is up to the chef. I decided I wanted a surprise of my own. I got tired of trying to figure out what the cake should look like and leaving it up to Disney.

A cold is running through our house currently so hopefully it will run its course and we won't have to worry about illness once we get to WDW

I am trying to keep a good sense of humor. I found that I was taking the wedding a bit to serious some days and started to stress to much. There were a couple of sleepless nights and it was not because of the baby either. Really this is just a big party and I want to have fun with family and friends.

About those ties. I just can not make up my mind. I am still searching for that perfect combination... not certain I have found it ye

On Friday we were getting ready for school, when all of a sudden, from my six year old, out of nowhere I hear " I hate pink! Boys can't wear pink!" I just stood there slack jawed......hhhuuuuuhhh. Where in the heck did that come from. I mean just out of the blue. I told him that boys can wear pink or any other color they choose. All the while I was thinking, huh that could put a wrench in our plans, apparently he did not get the memo that he was going to be wearing some form of pink in the wedding. I will be making sure the boys have had a chance to wear their wedding outfits a few weeks before so we can all get used to them or there will most certainly me a mutiny on the wedding day.

The dark/light contrast of the
tie on the right really stands
out against the other tie.
If a line of men were standing
in a picture, my eye would
be drawn to the striped ties
more than the dark ties.

MY FIRST VOTE:
Love-love-love this combo. It's looks
so dapper -- soooo SBP, you know?
It's clean, fresh, and each share the same
visual element of diagonal lines, while
still expressing individualism (since the
diagonals go in opposite directions).

MY LAST VOTE:
I'm not sure about this one due
to the introduction of the 3rd color (green)
and also due to the texture combination
(the vertical layout on the blue in
contrast to the diagonal layout
on the peach).

violentmesses I am in agreement with you. I do believe so far that those are the best combinations. However, the money was taken out of the account, so the perfect tie maybe on its way. I am keeping my fingers crossed. We also purchased both of our suits this weekend. We went way underbudget on them so I am happy.They are just mens suits so did not post a pic of them. They are a bit blah, compared to wedding dresses. If only my dream of becoming a drag queen had come true, I would have had something fierce to post. Oh well.
Have a ton of stuff half done and looking to get them finished in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for reading and hope it has not become to boring.

Rings are bought and paid for. It was such an odd feeling to see them that I forgot to take a picture. Let me describem them though. They are gold and round. If you are having trouble picturing what they look like I will post a pic soon. They are getting engraved and will be ready to pick up next week.
