Thanks for answering! That's interesting how it played out. I've been able to get a few nights here and there at the 7 month mark, but not recently and I truly enjoy this lounge and the room set up. When I stayed as a cash customer several times before DVC I was always on the 5th floor and had to use the stairs and the gate or the elevator. Just walking to the lounge from a few steps away is nice.

Yes, now that the cash CL guests have been moved to the 4th floor it's quite a different experience that DVC CL guests have being right there.

The DVC lounge is on the DVC floor. DVC concierge rooms are the only rooms up there. That's likely why they turned it over to DVC to start with.

So, then it's semantics and operations of where the food comes from. The association has underlying control of the lounge and the hotel side is has an agreement for use and to pay their share the costs. Just sharing that from my reading that it seems to be up to DVC what they want to do.

Okay...I thought that both cash and DVC had rooms on that floor. So, it will be interesting since it was listed as not being available.

And, I still have not read or seen confirmation the date Jambo will open...I guess we will find out on the 22nd.

I wish we had someone checking in to Jambo early who can confirm they are not being moved.

We are checking into Jambo CL June 27th and dashboard still shows Jambo CL. No contact from member services. Did a chat today and they said to watch the Disney website with resort info for updates on if Jambo will be open and about CL.

A cash guest who had a Jambo DVC studio for July 6 to 10 was just moved to Kidani 1 bedroom because she was told Jambo would be closed,

She was not in a AKL hotel room, but a studio. So, one report from today it is still not open.

Hmmm I was looking at moving to Jambo because of the pool sharing at BWV, but couldn’t get any information on what was opening at Jambo house. Maybe they’re trying to fill Kidani??? I wonder what would’ve happened if I did switch to a value 2 bedroom. Free upgrade? Hmmm

I also chatted with MS today since I'm interested in booking an early July stay, and their response was "We have not received a reopening date for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House yet." I thought I had seen someone post something that they would just move Jambo bookings to Kidani, so I asked about that too, but he seemed to think they would just cancel the reservation if Jambo wasn't open. But at least while I had them, they were able to process a waitlist that had matched!

Canceling isn’t consistent with current practice. Potentially they could cancel cash reservations, but it would be another story to cancel DVC owners vs moving to another resort.

We have Jambo booked for October and have not heard anything. If there's the possibility of it being closed I hope they notify us soon because airfare was booked months ago. If they need to move us then it might be ok, but I don't want it to be just anywhere, sorry I'm not a big fan of SSR or OKW (even though we own at OKW...). We're also booked for this July at Kidani and don't expect to hear anything about that one.

I have a Jambo studio booked for 6/22....have received no word yet on any potential move. Have been hesitant to say too much for fear that I’ll jinx it. Did just receive my confirmation for Magical Express tonight. Will keep you posted should I hear anything on my room.

Time required to handle the 5-10 rooms wouldn't be much if they chose to do the grab and go that was mentioned above. Might even cost DVC less than normal.

I guess it really depends on what is included in the 'grab' part. For us, there are 2 key components for doing the club level - the food/drink offerings, but also the relaxing break time we enjoy in the lounge itself (which probably won't be happening). Have to keep reminding myself - this is only temporary, this is only temporary.....

Cash guests through December have reported that they have had CL removed and taken from reservations, with refunds processed.

IMO, if they are not keeping any modified version for cash guests, I would be surprised to see them continue to offer to DVC.

I let go of my CL and booked at the Polynesian instead.

I guess it really depends on what is included in the 'grab' part. If they're using the rooms on that CL level, I don't see why they can't keep that lounge area open for relaxing. Just like they'd keep the small sitting areas throughout Wilderness lodge open, or the Carolwood Pacific RR room and lobby areas in VWL-Boulder Ridge, or the lobbies of any of the resorts. We're adults, we don't need tape and cordoned off areas everywhere.

I thought they were releasing rooms because they are reopening??? We were booked in a std studio for months now and then the other day saw the Value studios open so grabbed that. They need to decide and tell us so plans can be made.

No, they are not yet opening. I think the holding of rooms was reported elsewhere to have been a glitch. So, just like everything that was available during the closure, owners can book, and if it is not open, they will be moved.

I still believe we will see those rooms in service when the hotel is open. Some speculation as I said we should get news pretty soon....maybe even this weekend.

Cash guests have been dealt with up to July 11th...so the next round will be soon and that is when we will get more info as to hotels and if more are opening in July.

Jambo House is not one of the DVC resorts that Disney has listed as opening on June 22:

We called DVC member services this morning to see if we needed to move our July AK-Jambo reservation to amother resort? The CM that we spoke to said that the resort will be opening in July. It is not one of the June resorts.

Just posted this update on the DVC Fan FB group. Jambo news...

So I finally received my call tonight from DVC. For those not aware, I am one of the (probably very) few that had a Jambo reservation starting 6/22. Here is what happened during my call.

I had a Deluxe Studio Savanna View reservation for two nights at Jambo. The rep offered me a switch to a 1 BR Savanna View at Kidani with no upcharge of cost or points. I gladly accepted. Only sharing this part to say if you have an early Jambo resi still...maybe don’t cancel it now. There is a good chance of some Pixie Dust being thrown your way

I didn’t ask when Jambo would be opening, but he gave me a date of 7/1. He apologized for my inconvenience, but I kinda expected this...the Pixie Dust didn’t hurt either

I asked if he had any information as to when we could start making resort dining reservations. He said that he hadn’t heard any plans to start reservations yet. He also said it shouldn’t be a concern to any of us early reopening visitors, as we will essentially have the resort to ourselves.

I also asked about grocery deliveries, since we were really hoping for a true staycation. He said that the new package delivery restrictions wouldn’t affect this type of delivery. However, the resorts will not be able to store or refrigerate items for you. You will need to pick them up from the front desk or from outside of the resort.

Hoping this info helps some of you, and sorry for any questions I forgot to ask. Wishing all good vacation juju and much more Pixie Dust to come
