Your kids can enjoy the activities at either resort, it's only a 10 walk or a shuttle van away. However in the evening that van really fills up so you might that two trips to get on so it might be quicker to walk.

A big difference will be there GVs themselves. The Kidani one is two stories. Instead of a pool room, it has a loft with a pullout couch that gives you more sleeping options. The Kidani GV still sleeps 12 but has beds for 14.

Jambo House may not be an option at the 7 month mark for a GV. They often go fast for Christmas and New Years.

Kidani and Jambi share buses...not only that, but we were on several last month that bounces between the two more than once...lots of stops at Jambo

We didn't have this happen to us on either trip (week before Tviving 2015 and first week of Feb 2017), and we came back midday etc. I wonder if they were having issues during your visit? Seems odd!

We were there in November and stayed at Kidani. In the morning, the buses went directly from Kidani to where you were headed. On the return trip at night, I believe they stopped at both sides.
There is a shuttle that goes between Jambo and Kidani as others have mentioned.
We generally walked and were told it was a long walk. Generally took us about 10 minutes to walk from Jambo to Kidani. Its a pretty walk in the evening.
