Jambo vs Kidani - possible to request one or the other?

Is there a differentiation between Jambo House and Kidani Village when making reservations or is like any other resorts where you can request a location but it's not guaranteed? Points are the same for both sections?

Kidani Village and Jambo House are booking categories. You will know when you make the reservation which building your are in and you will check in at that location.

I requested 2 nights in Nov. for my birthday and she (MS)asked if I had a preference between Jambo and Kidani -- I didn't know of a reason to choose one over the other, so I said I didn't care, as long as it's a Savannah view (did request near an elevator, since I'm not as spry as I once was). My confirmation came to day and it says Jambo. I think it might be handy for us to be nearer the AKL stuff anyway actually (and too cool for the new pool).

Jambo and Kidani have separate check in areas. Your resservation will say which you have. It's not a request at check in.

I booked yesterday and the MS asked me which building I wanted. I booked for Kidani.

Grand Villa, standard view, and savanna view point costs are the same for same size room at both buildings. Kidani has no "value" or "concierge" rooms. You are supposed to designate building when you call to reserve and building is a guaranteed booking category.
