....Viki!

You're more than welcome. And, thank YOU! I love this thread. I've learned so much I feel like I've stayed at AKL already and I still have 11 months to go!

(Though, we'll be visiting the lodge and having breakfast at Boma in Dec. Can't wait!)

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Viki: I did that this past July. Knowing that I already had a ressie for July 2006 at AKL I went to dinner at Boma and just walked around the hotel and took it all in. It was really a neat feeling to know that next vacation this would be our home away from home. I really paid attention to little details that I think if I hadn't known I would be staying there I might have missed. I can't wait for our next trip either!

In case this hasn't already been answered, the pool is always open. The last time we were there, the lifeguards went off duty at 10 p.m.

Dec 31- Jan 7 AKL CL !!!!!! OH my gosh!!!!!! This Epcot girl has been converted. Thanks to everyone here for the awsome thread!! I just can't wait! Question though. When will I hear from IPO? Should I contact them? My 90 days starts while I am at WDW for Food and Wine. (Yeah 8 day dance!!! ) Thanks again for everything gang!! :grouphug: This is going to be the best New Years ever!!

...happy for you! That is the great thing about concierge - THEY can help you with your PS's! (You SHOULD have gotten a "Welcome" packet that tells you about making ressies for restaurants, SS, purchasing tix, concierge offerings, etc....)

I just booked today and 1/2 my ressie is with CRO (no BRP avail. for checkin Dec. 26- Jan. 1 :badpc:and then Dec 31 is Holiday and Jan 1 is value. I refused to pay holiday rates for a value night stay ) and the other is the BRP with my AP. I am going to call them and give them a heads up becuase I have 3 diff. conf. #'s. :p I know they are going to LOVE us!!! We are planning on arriving early on the 31 and spending the day at the resort (thanks a bunch Viki for the wonderful list! :goodvibes ) before we head to PI for the night. Oh, I just can't wait! :hyper: So much to do!

You all are more than welcome! And I was merely posting what someone else had posted on one of these threads a little bit back. I knew gold when I saw it, so I copied and saved it.

I'm thinking with all to do at the resort, we may have to add a day to just enjoy all the resorts offerings.......... I mean, that makes sense right?? :confused3 I'm sure DH will go for that.................... :rolleyes1

....feeling THAT!!

Ergens2 ~
You still should have gotten something in the mail....it's like a small folder with pockets that has a bunch of different things in it, like Concierge offerings (it tells you the times), a paper to make ressies, other sign-up activities, like golf or fishing, and your last name is printed on the front.

Woohoo, 7K posts!!!!

OMG, you guys won't believe this.......... DH is at work........ I'm sitting here, watching RITA pound us......... ( I'm in Baton Rouge) and he just called me, and said he was reading this.............. LOL, and that since I had said we should add another day............. HE DID!!!!! :cool1: WHOO HOOO

I'm so excited.......... and happy.............. what hurricane!!!!! LOL

Seriously though, the wind and rain are horrible, it looks like it's night time, it's really dark......... but, I still have electricity.......... thank God!!! We are OK, I'm just hoping the power holds out............. we lost it for 3 days with Katrina.

Take Care everyone!!!!

Wendypooh...Hang in there & stay safe! Just remember there are Zebra Domes waiting for you!

Hey guys........... Thanks~~~ Actually I lost power for most all of the day today, it's been back on about 2 hours. OMG, the wind and rain was terrible, it seemed worse than Katrina. I guess because we were on the other side of the storm this time. There is a lot of branches, etc.... the water was up to my front lawn...... that was shocking!!! It has all reseeded<sp> now. I'm just glad to have power back. As some of you know, DH works in N.O. and so I went through this with just my DS who is 5. It was kinda scary at times, but we are OK. I hope that this is the last storm for a long long while, I'm not sure how much more any of us can take. This trip is going to be a much needed getaway.......... Thanks for thinking of us!!!

Wendypooh,it is wonderful to hear from you! I am glad everyone came through ok. After Isabelle last year we were without power and water for 2 weeks! It was awful. But we had been prepared with bottled water and our gas stove to cook meals. We also have one of those big Coleman coolers that hold ice for 5 days. It was a godsent!!! Anywho, glad you are safe and sound! :grouphug:

Thanks Shelley!!! You don't know how much we NEED this vacation!!!!

Glad to see you're OK Wendypooh!! Growing up on the NC coast we are aware of the dangers and scare factors of a hurricane. Hope your 5 year old came through it without too many scary moments. Now just plan this vacation and remember to enjoy every moment.
