I heard that Boma does not have the Frunch juice anymore. Does anyone know for sure because I will be there in 3 weeks and I would love to get some.

Boma is good. The Frunch juice is wonderful. They might have a different concoction that is just as nice. I never been there for dinner but this December i have a reservation. The lodge is great. If you have a chance try the night goggles.:) Jiko is great for dinner as well. My favorite dish is the Filet with mac/cheese. The creme brulee is nice to.

You should love dinner. There's so much on the buffet for every taste. Last time we were there, I ate so much of three or four items, I couldn't fit anymore in. This time I've got a plan of attack, two bites of everything!

The breakfast looks wonderful. The frunch juice was out for me anyway, can't have too much sugar. Really looking forward to the Kenyan coffee though. Is it still on the menu?

I never tried the coffee but heard it is great. I think i had the regular brand.
According to allears site, the press pot of Kenyan coffee is still on the menu for an extra charge. The menu has not been updated for while though.

Thanks to all for your congrats! Momma, Poppa, and Henry are all doing gooooood! Momma and Poppa are a bit tired, but blissfully so!

He's ADORABLE!

Enjoy him. They grow up so fast. We just (a week ago, Wednesday) put our oldest on the schools bus for the first time. I just can't fathom where the past 5 years went.....

:)

Here's what we're going to do for the kids (though not as an Xmas present...we're going to show it to them as we leave). It's sorta "techie" but you could just have your local Ritz Camera (and maybe even Walmart) do it for you...

Make a DVD slide show with Windows moviemaker.

Now, you'll need to have Windows XP Media Center or Windows Vista on you PC (Movie Maker comes with those) and a DVD burner.

But making the movie, made up of pictures from around the net and some good Disney theme music (also readily available around the net), is pretty simple. My wife makes video "scrapbooks" for people all the time (side business), and for our families for the holidays. They're GREAT!

So you make one, burn it to DVD, and then put it in a DVD case and wrap it up. Have him pop it in on Xmas morning and...there ya have it.

We're going to pop ours into the car DVD player when we pick our daughter up from school....as we begin the drive to WDW.

:)

That's exactly what we've done to reveal our surprise to the kids next week! A DVD movie--& it was so much fun to make!!!

We're also doing a daily surprise (or 2) to let them know what we're doing, but just doing it through powerpoint. We have 1 to let them know we're staying at AKL.

I love hearing about people surprising their kids on here! DH and I can't wait to do the same someday! And these are such unique ways! Very cool. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the ideas! I went to the Christmas shop at DTD and in the MK and didn't see the ornaments you are talking about? I saw a bunch that looked like they would be perfect for the WL, but none for AKL. I did see all of the resort ornaments, they were flat, circles and looked porcelin. I wasnt' crazy about those.

I love the idea of african animals and fabric to decorate the tree. Now I'm second guessing the mini-mickey ornaments I bought. They are bright red and may not blend in. I'll have to look and see what I can find. Oh and the mini tree I plan to bring is already wrapped in burlap at the bottom, how perfect!!!

....glad to have helped.......yeah, I can see how those bright red ornaments might not fit in.....here's an idea:

if you have a predominately WHITE bathroom, or a white enclosed porch, or white powder room, or some little area in your home that is white, put white birch branches in a tall vase, wrap a small string of white (or multi-colored) Christmas lights (with a WHITE cord, not a green one!) around the branches, and put your ornaments on the branches too - it'll 'say' "Merry Christmas" without being too overpowering....:)

Congrats brookelizabeth !!!!!!!!

What a beautiful baby ...

Enjoy everything and every moment because they do grow up fast ...

102 days till we surprize our little ones, ages 14 and 12 with a Christmas Trip to Disney !!!!!
Of course the big kids, ages 37 and 39 are very, very excited too !!!!

....and I shall name him "Bekele" [beh-KEH-leh], African name, meaning 'he has become'.....

....Henry is absolutely beautiful - good health and much happiness to you and your new jumaa[joo-MAH-ah][family]...:flower3:

First off, that baby is beautiful! Congrats brookelizabeth! Makes me want another one- Our last little bundle was a surprise and I'm 43 years old! You'd think I knew where those came from!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK- I am beyond thrilled :cloud9: - BUT... I need some guidence from you pros to make sure that we follow the unwritten rules!

A little background- we have been to WDW several times- usually on a dime during value season and having as many meals in our AS rooms as possible- money is always tight with three special needs children- Mom has to stay home to handle daily medical needs = no money-- that being said, here's my situation:

DH has been working full time/over time at his job, taking a class here and there when we could afford for him to- - he has gone back to school for his master's in business- because we have been strapped for money ( medical bills take most of it ), he has had to take one class to three classes a year- he is finally graduating this December- 7 years after he started this quest :yay: - he's had all A's but as I said, he had to attend school when we could afford for him to do so.

We decided that for once, we were going to go to WDW and really enjoy the trip- you can't take it ($) with you and he will get a raise in his current position after he graduates! So, we figure we will have to save "x" $ to accomplish our goal. The man has no boundries- I'm the one who usually figures out all the angles for low cost vacations- you know the saying- Living like a king on a paupers income!- that's him- popcorn::

...so last night he comes into the bedroom after snapping at me earlier, that he was trying to make a "private" call- we've been married over 17 years- there are no "private" calls allowed in this house-

I'm ready to have a cow because he was rude to me- I'm glad that I kept my mouth shut!:rolleyes1

He announces that we are going to spend December 30th and 31st at the Contemporary so we can hop on the monorail after the New Year's Eve fireworks at the MK and be at the closest resort to the MK for the night  - yeah but only two days- the he tells me the cost :scared1: I tell him I love it but can we afford to stay in a delux during holiday season?

He says that it's alright, and then he tells me that on January 1st, are moving and staying through the 7th at AKL, Club level, Savannah view :dance3:

I tell him that we could go another time like after the holidays???:scared: He did not smile- mister dead-pan says, "Value season starts on the first of January, and I have a AAA discount on the room." :teacher: It's still going to cost an arm and a foot! Now I'm feeling a bit more excited-:yay: I figure I can live it up one time in my life and let go of the money worries-

so here's my questions:

1.How do we transfer our luggage from the CR ( standard garden room but hey! we are staying at a deluxe! ) to AKL with no car with three kids in tow-?

2. Are there different check-in procedures for Club level rooms?- do we go to the front desk, is there a cons. desk that we are to go to instead....?

3. CRO said that we would have 2 queens, savannah view and club access, I thought these rooms were on the 5th and 6th floors- I am unsure of the construction, as I thought that I read that these floors were being made into Villas?

4. Club edicate- I have never stayed on club level, I understand that there are different foods/snacks offered during the day- do you just go in and help yourself to a serving? My boys are in middle school so they know about only taking the food that they will eat- they are non stop food machines- always hungry now that they are older, I can't seem to feed them enough any more- are they allowed to take a plate or get seconds as long as they eat it all or should we just take a bit for a snack-

5. Does the club have bottled water for us to take to the parks? Is this frowned upon?

6. Are we allowed to take food back to our rooms, can two of us go get breakfast for the family from the club room on our days off- we would like to leave the baby in the room with a parent and then, eat our breakfast in the room -on the balcony looking at the animals-?

7. Is turn down service automatic or do we have to request this? and how much do we tip for this?

Thanks for any information that you can share with us! When in Rome do as the Romans do- we want to be good be Romans! :teacher: :cutie:

We are using 5 days ( have 10 ) of our hopper tickets for this trip, we also have 2 plus visits left from the last trip that we will try use this trip- so we will start off in these planned parks and will migrate to other parks when/if we want to-

This is how our days look for now:

Sunday - arrive at the CR by lunch time-food court for lunch, off to MGM , dinner at Sci Fi

Monday - BKF - Chef Mickey's, MK, lunch Casey's/CS, Crystal Palce for late dinner

Tuesday- laundry, check out of the CR and into AKL, lunch on the run CS- at one of the resorts, Boma's for dinner, story telling at the fire pit, swimming.... enjoying the resort all afternoon/evening

Weds. -BKF- club, EPCOT, lunch in UK, dinner CS

Thursday - BKF- club, Animal Kingdom, lunch Tusker House?, dinner -Rain Forrest

Friday - OFF- sleep in, laundry, BKF/lunch Club/ food court/ afternoon-Blizzard Beach if the weather allows

Saturday - MK again - we just love this park and with a toddler who can't enjoy many rides at EPCOT or MGM, we wanted to repeat this park as we can all enjoy these rides as a family-

Sunday - rest, pack for the trip home, swim- enjoy the resort! :) in the evening- we will visit DTD/ DQ, dinner at Earl's

Monday - leave for home- :sad1:

Please make any suggestions or feel free to cover anything that I might not have thought of- TIA for all your help!:grouphug:
