Does anybdy know when the construction is supposed to end?

I think construction in Jambo house is supposed to go on until sometime in early 2008(I'm not as geeked as some of my fellow DVC'ers, but I think the DVC conceirge part isn't going to be ready until May 2008)

As for the new Kidani building that is sometime in the first half of 2009.

PM if you would like and I can get the dates out of the really nice mailing I got from DVC(they have the areas marked off when construction will be done in certain areas).

Personally we'll wait until the whole things done before trying to stay there(so look for me sometime in 2009 or beyond).

How sad is this, I recorded it the last time it was on and burned a CD without commercials so I can watch it whenever I want. I've got an illness and I need therapy.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Therapy won't help......we are a "special group" that no one else can understand.

The last part of the Jambo house conversion is slated to be complete in May of '08 (those are the rooms around the lobby on the 5th and 6th floor, plus Ostrich and Zebra trails.

Kidani is slated to start opening in phases in Spring of '09, with completion sometime in Fall of '09.

.....uhhhh, I am one of those 'poop people'.....

:scared1: Usually I always proofread what I post... I will immediately go back and edit this!!! But, to make you feel better: I would include myself with those "poop people", too!

Well, then I need to go to.

We had it for a 18 months or so on our DVR....which just recently kicked the bucket.

Kicked the bucket with, I might add, the Medium season Finale, the Jericho season (well, looks like series now...GRRRR) finale, 3 eps of the Unit, and various other "end of the TV season" stuff we had not yet watched.

And what was I most upset over losing? You guessed it: GH:AKL. Which is pretty much how I knew it was on this week. I've been "stalking" it here:

:scared1: OMG If I lost my TIVO right now I would die!
I have about 10 WDW themed show, about 20 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse's and about 10 Bear In The Big Blue House that I would cry if they were gone:sad1: . I have it set to tape the AKL special tomorrow but sadly sometimes the TIVO loses the signal of various stations, the travel channel being one of them. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I can't wait for my first AKL experinece on Sunday!

We're going out this weekend to buy a DVD burner...so we can save some of the "special" stuff we build up on our DVR, in the event another one crashes and burns. I have to say...we had this one for almost 2 years....so I guess I can't complain too much. The nice bit was that, when the Cable Co replaced it, we got a new, "bigger" model with more storage space.

Oh, you are going to so love that burner. I bought one for DH for Christmas. And even though we had the expanded hard drive with a new TIVO box knowing we can burn commercial free programming has caused us to up our recording. My husband has recorded the entire previous season of 24 commercial free. And you don't even want to know about football. But for me, it's all about Disney.

Heh heh...we're big 24 fans too.

That's one of the reasons we're buying, actually (well, after the Disney reason!). We're spending a fortune buying the DVD's for shows like 24 and Lost.... :)

I can't wait for my first AKL experinece on Sunday!

We just got back from our first trip to AKL! You will have a great time. We had a savannah view room on the zebra trail. The view from the room was awesome. We were in room 2437. I will attach a picture of the view we had as well as a couple pool pictures. The kids loved waking up and having zebra and giraffes outside the balcony. The food, transportation, CM's and everything about the place was great! We were 100% thrilled about everything. We were so happy that we asked to get an appt to go to the models for the AKV through DVC at the SSR. We loved it. THe model rooms were so nice! We got the ball rolling as soon as we got home and now we are on our way to being first time Disney Vacation Club members for AKV. I am SOOOOOO excited

Do you mind if I "steal" that one? There are constantly questions about what the "zero entry" for the pool means, and what it looks like. That's one of the best shots I've seen of the zero entry area, and I'd sure like to be able to use it (with credit to you, of course) next time a question arises here on the Dis boards....

I don't mind at all! Thanks for asking.

It did however tape for my WDW collection....
