Thanks for the inside info - I've never run into anyone from Celebration!
I've checked out the web site for the Celebration Hotel. It looks great.
And Seito has goten some good buzz.

Well, Wallyb, no one is ever "from" here...we have to wait till those youngsters who were actually born and raised here will actually be "from" here. Right now, most who live here are from somewhere else! LOL

Yes, Seito is good, and that comes from my fiance, who has been to Japan several times!

Do any of you decorate your door? I am going to! I will also be wearing my green Mickey head! I am a focker watcher!

I love it! I would love to put up a sign on our door too. But DH (love him dearly) has already expressed his "expert" opinion about my sanity and the amount of time I spend on these boards. I could just see the conversation now:
DH: What is that?
CJsMom: A lime-green Mickey head that I "found" at Home Depot.
DH: And what are you planning to do with it?
CJsMom: Put it on our door at AKL so the DISers will know that another DISer is here.
DH: A WHAT? You want to put a sign on our door so some crazy Disney-obsessed nuts can find us? No *** way!
(obviously - and conveniently - forgetting that his DW is, in fact, one of said "crazy Disney -obsessed nuts")


Perhaps I can attach a small lime-green piece of yarn to my backpack and pretend it's holding together a ripped strap?

That is adorable! Did you put it thru the printer? I need to go to homedepot and see if I can find some mickey heads. I didn't know they had them till now lol.

No, I didn't put it through the printer. A kind diser sent me this enlarged Mickey head via email. I then added the text & pic. So this is bigger than the Home Depot Mickeys. I will have one of those on my pack, but this bigger one will be on my door.

BTW...don't feel discouraged about your DH. Mine is the same way. He just doesn't quite get it. Never will. Nevertheless, the sign IS going up! It is bad enough that I didn't take any food pics on our last trip because DH was mortified by the very idea. I pulled the camera out at Le Cellier & he started to shake...

Ugh - ok - I'll stop complaining - you have more of the white stuff than we do. It's been mostly sleet this afternoon.

I bet I could get away with the mickey head on my backpack and just tell him I'm "decorating" it.

I love that mickey head, but does anyone else worry about putting names on things - especially the room door, but even shirts? I just feel that, even though you're at Disney, there's bound to be some less-than-honest people there who will use that level of familiarity to take advantage.

Especially with kids, to me it seems to easy to say "Hi, Johnny, your Mommy told me to take you over here. I'm not a stranger. How would I know your name if your mommy didn't tell me to look for you?"

It just skeeves me out a bit!

Don't do it if you are not comfortable with it!

It all comes down to comfort level & what your children are like, maybe? My son will be nearly 10 & is a very bright boy. He would never (I know, never say never) go off with a stranger. We have had MANY talks about stranger danger. We even have a stranger danger "call." He can scream like a 10 year old girl who just won a night in Cinderella's Castle, lol. He knows to use the stranger danger scream if anyone so much as looks at him cross eyed. Trust me...people will notice if he screams like that! I've also taught him to scream "fire" if anyone ever tries to take him or hurt him. Seems "fire" always get peoples attention...

It isn't supposed to stop until around 10pm. Durango is still stuck. Dh is VERY grumpy right now...

Yes, a small Mickey head on the backpack...very inconspicuous to the undiscerning eye.... but us focker watchers...we will know!

That is an impressive pile of snow...we ony got about 2 inches here today followed by sleet.

I can't wait til August and some warm FLorida sun...sitting here working on my itinerary gotta get the restaurants lined up to call for ADRs on Sunday.

Love the line green mickey head door sign...don't know if my family will go for it. They think I am slightly onsessed as it is LOL

there are too many pages for me to look at here . i'll just ask my questions .

-well , i will be in AKL in about 2 days and i was wondering on what should i expect ?

-where do i wait for the busses to go to the parks ? and is it always crowded ? how much time should i give myself ?

-what other stuff should i bring ? besides the obivious (toothbrush etc ... )

-we will bring driving down to disney from new york so i would like to know where the parking lot is on site ? is it far ?

-does AKL do anything special to the rooms if we have a birthday girl ? she is celebrating her sweet 16 . or if they do anything special at all for birthdays ?

-any other suggestions would be great . i just got the disney fever and i really can't think straight ..
