On a side note, I am proud to say that my son and I have finally tried Zebra Domes. It happened two weeks ago. Ben has not been the same since LOL.

This is for the person who asked about breakfast at Boma...can't remember who it was...

Anyway, it sounds like you are doing exactly what me and DH did on our honeymoon. We used snacks for breakfast down at the Mara and then went to the parks-had a CS meal for lunch and a TS meal for dinner. While I have heard, and even seen pictures of the amazing Boma breakfast (and it looks DELICIOUS!), this just worked better with our schedule and we didn't feel like we were missing anything. There is just so much to do at Disney...and look at it this way you have a PERFECT excuse for a return trip!

Hi, it was me! Thanks for the answer, you are guessing right, we have the same plan you followed! Well, I went ahead and asked our travel agent to try to get an ADR for us for the last day and then we will see once we are there. Possibly we will be so stuffed after 8 days on the DDP that the idea of breakfast, even as delicious as Boma, will be be really awful for us!

And I really like the idea to leave an excuse for there having to be next trip!

mmmmmmmm oh yes....I had that on our honeymoon when we ate there. We have a review of the restaurant filed in the depths on the boards We had the best server there, she was wonderful and the food amazing. We also tried the Kalamata olive flat bread...........WOW that is to die for

I think we will try and get a savanah room - any particular savannah that is better???

We always stay on the Arusha Savannah, Zebra Trail. The restaurants and pool are located on this side of the Lodge.

I am truly glad you seem to be co-existing! I would be in therapy!!!

As does Jody at the baahh (sorry, Bostonian for "bar"). South African wines can be tricky. I find it requires work getting the hang of them. Well, at least the reds. They are getting more consistent as of late.

LOL, separate vacations is the secret to our successful marriage

I do Disney and other things that interest me, he looks after the business and the pets while I'm gone. Then two or three times a year he does a golf trip with the boys from the club and I look ater the business and the pets. It works out fine

We work together everyday at our company so a break is a good thing and actually I miss him already. Quiet around the house

I love the story of how you met and the hidden mickeys in your ring, Paul probably has a hidden mickey of whisky somewhere but thats it.

I am certain that I read somewhere on this thread that non-concierge guests could request turndown service. But on the WDW website I turndown service is only mentioned for the concierge rooms. Has anyone who has been there recently requested it for a normal room with success?

Cass, my fiance loves Disney, in part, because of the 99 holes of golf! He's played on every course, his fav being LBV. He volunteers at the Funai Classic every October and gets vouchers for rounds of golf (happy as a pig in poop). Has your hubby ever played any of the Disney courses? We have a wonderful course here in town. In fact, my fiance has played with many men who literally fly over here all the way from the UK just for weekends to play the Celebration course. It is beautiful. You should tell him about it.

Separate vacations are great. I think you're right...breaks are good. My fiance literally commutes from Buffalo every weekend. My week is filled with taking care of the kid and working, so not much time to be missing the other half.

Regarding the turndown service, Flossbolna, I find it hard to believe that one can't request it just because you are in a standard room. It is one of Disney's "high end" properties. I would ask when checking in.

Hi Bensmom, I told him about the golf there, but getting the club to agree to go is another matter. Titusville is probably half the cost of Disney! (if that)

I don't golf - so if he came with us, he wouldn't have anyone to play with
