...PS: I never did find those cheese-filled pretzels... if only you had finished more of your trip report, maybe I would have been able to find them! ;)

... ....:tiptoe:

Hey everyone. If I were to do a room request, do I need to let my AAA travel agent know or do I call AKL a couple weeks before check in? Since Im not going till Dec 2007, I still have tons of time. Also if I wanna make a request to be on the Zebra trail with a good view of the animals, what should I request exactly?

O.k. ..

The fever is gone. I'm almost at the end of my t-shirt making frenzy. i got distracted for a while to do the trip journals for DS and DN.

One cool thing i did, that I'm so proud of :) is I used the AKL map as a decal for the ditty bags I made.

SO-not thrilled with rainy weather, but better than cold rainy which is what we had here last week.

I don't know how to post photos so I can't. But the more humid it gets the wilder my hair gets. so look for the copper frizzball and i'll be under it.

Now I have to get onto packing and not forget all those little things I might need. Like my shoes.

Here's my 2 day wiggle: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hello,

We returned about 3 weeks ago. I was debating my room requests before we left, but I left it as Arusha. We did get Arusha, across from the rooms that show Uzima. I liked it, but found I missed Uzima Savannah more. I liked looking out and not seeing another building! There was a peacefulnes to Uzima that Arusha didn't have.

Oh well, it will be a while before we go back, and since AKL is not my husband's favorite, probably even longer until we return there. He really prefers WL, and since we are DVC, it makes more sense to stay there. But, we will return one day, because I do enjoy it there.

Evening weather update for soon-to-be-at-AKL parties:

It's far from a sure thing, but this was written tonight by the #1 forecaster in the Accuweather Pro stable:

"The southeast problem comes with the el nino induced system that moseys slowly east across Mexico then into the gulf, allowing low pressure development later in the week in the central gulf. This looks to me to be a threat to develop into a tight gale center with heavy rains...Florida could have a lot of rain and wind this weekend."

Aw, c'mon...in December????

Stay tuned...

I want to freeze frame today's MSN forecast, it's totally fine on every day. But of course, it will change again :sad2:

Okay, you guys are not going to believe this. My DD and I have passports - passports IMO are the best identifiation and soon everyone will need one to travel from canada to the USA.

My GF, Louise - decided not to get passports because they are not planning any more trips so they would just travel on their birth certificates and her drivers license.

Guess who called me last night at 11pm in a panic because SHE CAN'T FIND THE BIRTH CERTIFICATES?

Do you see my countdown?, we are leaving tomorrow :dance3: well, my DD and I are leaving tomorrow - who knows about them :furious: :furious: :furious:

Oh, Cass, that's a terrible feeling. You know she is tearing her house apart to find them. ANd After this, who's going to get a passport?

Enjoy your last day because tomorrow....You're going to Disneyworld!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I know, as I was talking to her I could hear her huffing and puffing, going through drawers & cabinets, boxes and closets.

I feel really bad for her but I'm also angry about it - we booked this trip last JULY. 5 months ago and she decides to look last night for the BC?

:furious: :furious:

Apparently you can have an emergency BC issued at the offices in down town Toronto, you need to present your airline tickets and a lot of $$$ but it can be done - hopefully within a day.
