HEY, welcome back TiggerAllie...didn't you just leave ? Yoiu are reminding me how fleeting the fun will be!

Hey TiggerAllie...before you get away and we have to wait weeks for your report...what room did you get at WL?

Fleeting? Are you kidding? I guess time flies for you while I'm gone. :) I feel like I've been away forever! You know it's a great trip when you get to the end and are ready to be home. (I need at least a week to recover!)

We booked Std at WL and got an upgrade to CV-- 6119. GREAT location and GREAT view! We could see the geyser, the EWP, and some of the higher MK fireworks from our balcony! Plus, they played Xmas music in the courtyard, and we could hear it if we opened the balcony door-- so festive! We actually had great rooms at both WL and Poly, which was a treat after having to switch after the first night on our last 2 trips.

As far as the trip report goes, I hope you'll be pleasently surprised by the speed with which this one materializes! (I do have to go through the 428 pictures we took, though!)

I have to stop looking at the MSN 10 day MCO forecast :sad2:

It is showing rain on every single day of our trip now. I think some weatherman is having a joke putting up random things to freak me out

OK, Cass...you posted a pic, so I will too:

The SECOND kid is my granddaughter, who will be getting her first Disney trip next summer when the 3 generations invade WL (...and so it begins again...)

Boy, that is UGly!!! And, now the NWS people in Central Florida are backpedaling on cool and dry after midweek:

(posted at 2:45 pm today) FRI-SUN...A PRETTY
LARGE DISPARITY DEVELOPS BTWN THE VARIOUS MODELS WITH REGARD TO THE SOUTHWARD PUSH OF THE
FRONT AND THE EXTENT OF DRYING THAT OCCURS IN ITS WAKE DURING THIS PERIOD. . THE CURRENT FCST IS
A RATHER LOW CONFIDENCE ONE.

Translation...maybe turning cool, dry, and sunny after Thursday, but maybe warmer, cloudier and wetter. :furious:

Hey Kimmar! I am making great progress! I've now completed Day 4 AND Day 5!
Coming up... Day 6, where I'll sum up the trip and my opinions of AKL!
(check my sig for the link!)

PS: I never did find those cheese-filled pretzels... if only you had finished more of your trip report, maybe I would have been able to find them! ;)

Can anyone tell me if the "pool view" is sort of quiet when you are in your room with the balcony closed off? Just curious if there will be problems getting sleep when needed.

We stayed in the pool view in October and the pool was pretty busy during the day, but we didn't notice any noise with our balcony doors closed. At night there was NO one in the pool.

Welcome back TiggerAllie! I look forward to reading your next report as well! :cool1:

Have fun all you who are leaving in just a few days!!!!! (I'm totally jealous!) If you meet up be sure to take a "family picture". :teeth:

GREAT!! :thumbsup2 Thanks so much. :)

Good morning AKL lovers. This is Accu-Duck with your exclusive extended forecast for the AKL and the Bay Lake area--staying mild to warm with a small but increasing chance of showers for the next week.

Actually, over a month ago I read that in an El Nino year Florida tends to be milder and rainier than normal during the winter. Now here's what the Central Florida long-range forecaster has to say this morning:

THE DEVELOPING PATTERN IS CHARACTERISTIC OF WHAT WE SHOULD BE SEEING MORE OF DURING AN EL NINO. MONTHLY RAINFALL IS RUNNING BELOW NORMAL
ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA SO WE SHOULD START SEEING MORE CASES OF WIDESPREAD RAINFALL.

OK, so I won't let it get me down, because WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD and in all our trips, the only time bad weather mattered at all was when we were chased home early by Charlie in summer 04.

So, everyone going in the next week, don't pack your winter coat, throw in an umbrella just in case, and GET EXCITED :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

All day yesterday on the MSN forecast, December 17th was 97% rain, then it changed to 99%

This morning it has changed to 10% :sunny:

It will probably be torrential downpours by tonight. :confused3
