Okay Accu-weather Duck, what's the difference between limited sun on the 16th and limiting sun on the 17th :confused3 :teeth:

I guess we'll see when we are there, eh  ? Sounds like the person who did the forecast wanted to be clever.

and you need to get rid of those showers on my first few days

Can you accept a 20% chance?(National Weather Service...more reliable, but only goes out a week):

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78. East wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.

So like, in otherwords ~ 80% chance of no rain? :goodvibes

I think I can live with that, but it's still a little on the warm side for me, I prefer high 60's.

Did you see todays weather, Mickey will be freezing his tail off tonight :rotfl:

wallyb-thanks for dress code-I think dressing up a little makes for a nicer experience.... (Going to Jiko and Flying Fish-also Brown Derby but I guess since thats in a park they don't request a dress code.... :confused3

I so agree about the dressing up.
We always change for dinner - as snazzy as possable - just short of monkey suits.

Just back from the Pop .Weather was 60's in the day mostly with 50's in the evening. A few nights it was in the 40's. This morning it was 40 and no rain all week. I had a blast! :)

Hi disneytraveler, I was thinking about you and hoping you were having a great time.

I love the cooler weather, I wish it could be like that next week for us. Are you going to do a mini report? How was POP? Did you miss AKL?

Hi Cass,
I will do a mini report. The Pop was decorated for the holidays but i still miss the Akl. I did see the Grand Floridian decorated and thought how the Akl must have looked to. I did not get a chance to visit the lodge . The Pop had
a tree in the lobby area and the walls had decorations to. I discovered a new
attraction! The Pop Century resort at 9am on Friday! :confused3 :rotfl: Where did all the people come from .

You need a fast pass for an attraction like that, a fast pass right the heck out of there. :)

Hey, is that a mug dispensing machine on the left? :rotfl:

:rotfl2: It's funny, I didn't notice that our mugs were in there until just tonight when I saw the picture re-posted, then I read all the mug comments! lol Now, a mug dispensing machine that also dispensed coffee would be perfect!

7 days...OK, it's finally time for kimmar's wiggling monkeys:

Just checked the National Weather Service's 7-10 day weather discussion for Florida. Can you handle warmish and showery? Seems that the "screaming easterlies" may develop for about a week starting mid-week (no, I'm not making that up, though my wife is laughing as I type this).

So, what does that mean? Not as bad as it sounds, but Cass won't like it :guilty: . Definitely warmish (upper 70s to near 80 daytime, upper 50s at night), a liitle bit humid, and on-and-off showery...a December version of summer weather.

OK, go ahead and blame the weatherperson-messenger...I'm used to it!

RonaldDuck-I will be arriving on Thursday 12/14, I would think about 2ish at the AKL :dogdance: :dogdance: :dogdance: :dogdance: :dogdance:...

I'm a little stressed  by the the thought of um, what was it you called them..."screaming easterlies"....is this a real word :confused3 ?

Don't know where Cass got the icey stare smilies but if I had them I might be using them also---unforunately you know the old adage about the messenger.. :confused3

We're back!! Actually we got back a couple of days ago but we've been busy going through all our pictures so I haven't had a chance to come here. What a great hotel! We loved it. Our room was 4213, Arusha Savannah, Kudu trail. And bunkbeds! My husband and I actually got to share the same bed. All my requests were met. We saw a lot of animals from our balcony, giraffes, zebras, elands etc and we were right over Pelican pond (that's what we called it). Those pelicans cracked me up. They reminded us of mobsters or the Sopranos, just sitting around loitering and squawking and once in a while chasing away anyone who tried to invade their territory. :)

I'll post pictures and try to get a trip report going later on. Unfortunately I caught a cold somewhere along the way so I'm a bit fuzzy headed right now.

I was nearby in 4219 last month - great location, wasn't it?!! I always cracked up watching those pelicans!!! One day, they screamed so loudly at a zebra...... the poor thing looked so dejected!!! I felt so bad for the zebra -- naughty birds!!!! :rotfl2:
