How long of a walk is it from the furthest rooms to the main lobby. If you walked at an average pace?

TIA

woo, it's a pretty long walk from the hotel entrance to the very very ends of the Kudu & Zebra trails... 7, 8 minutes?

I compare it to GF - walking from the monorail to one of the farthest buildings - except it's all inside and airconditioned and you don't get rained on. :goodvibes

That is a pretty far walk. Thanks for the quick reply.

Thanks Slkant and Tinknme!

I found exactly what I was looking for. Found the AKL logo and also picked up some other Disney clip art, too.

1st time poster here! I've gotten a lot of great info off this site already, and hoping you can help me with the following;

Will be traveling with my DH and DGS (6) to AKL Nov 9-14. We were thinking it would be great to decompress on a few nights and enroll him in Simba's Clubhouse for a few hours while we eat dinner (either Boma or Jiko's) and regain our sanity!

There are 20 available openings every night of our stay except for 1 night which has 18 openings. I got this information thru WDW-DINE. Does anyone know what is the maximum capacity of kids that they accept? My concern is that it is 20, which means that there is no one else using the Clubhouse. We certainly wouldn't drop him off if he was the only child there.
Since it is off season, is this the type of reservation that many people do not make in advance, or do most people play it by ear, or maybe there are not a lot of people that use this service.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting those activities Lisa!! Now I can better plan our upcoming 4 day trip! :thumbsup2

YES YES YES!! I'm so excited, I can't imagine how annoying I'll be a week and a half from now!

Each day we get more and more excited and our morning ritual includes discussing how many days left before we go. This morning at 6:30am I said to DD8, "do you know what we'll be doing exactly 2 weeks from right now? We'll be sitting at the airport, waiting for our plane to Disney!" then we squeal like little girls. And each day the squealing get a little louder... :rotfl2: Her reply was "well actually Mom, we go in 1 week and 6 days 'cuz you can't really count the day we go since we have to leave so early..." Yes, I'm raising a little DISer I'm afraid! (for the record, we have to leave for the airport at 4:30am - ugh!! - and I know neither of us will sleep much in the days before the trip).

We were in a far room last week..... 3361 corner room Kudu Trail and at first it seemed like MILES. But I timed it one morning and it only took 4 minutes for this short overweight mama with arthritic knees to get from the room to the lobby!!! DH took about 15 minutes to get to Mara, get snacks and get back. Even though it was a hike, I loved it since the savanna view was an free UPGRADE from standard!!!!!

Babs

Hi All,

We just got home!!!! :sad1: I just wanted to say "HI" and let everyone know we had a great trip and I'll post a report later!!

:worship: :worship: :worship: Oh great, wise and benevolent ALK gods.
Especially AKL Concierge gods-
Please advise your faithful follower further.
So you don’t have to read back in the thread
like kimmar is making me do :sad2: (she's quite the task master that one)-
We’re going to be staying on one of the AKL Concierge levels in November.
Now I know I should :bitelip: "smile my prettiest smile" and ask
"pretty please with Zebra Domes on top" when I do ask -
but when I do ask - What is the definitive, ultimate, absolute, categorical
"bestest" trail to over look for maximum animal impact?

Please don't hate me, but I thought the Kudu trail was better, only because as you walked back and forth from the room everyday you got to see the Ostriches out on the Sunset Savanna, plus it is so much fun to cross that bridge that spans the lobby :goodvibes

Wallyb,

We always stay on the Arusha Savannah, Zebra Trail. Most evenings, we would see zebras and giraffes running around. We had two animals (some type of cattle) sleep below our balcony each night. There were also other animals on the savannah. I'm sorry I'm don't remember what kind of animals they were except for the zebras and giraffes.
