Some good news for me, we are going to stay at AKL for our entire stay (we may have to change rooms but may be will get some pixiedust: and be allowed to stay in the first room). My sister had leftover hotel reservation pts because she had to switch her vacation (due to Mom's surgeries) and we are using them to stay at AKL instead of switching to OKW for the last two nights. We do lose the dining plan for those two nights but will just have to deal with it! :goodvibes

Mom is supposed to come home today but her Doctor is sick and they are not sure she is ready so it may be Monday, meanwhile both my brother and I took the day off :furious:

Kimmar, I love the coconut tiramisu also. Maybe we will see you there. It would be two ladies with glasses and a boy and girl with glasses.

Yeah!!! Glad to hear your mom is doing better, hopefully she'll be home soon!!!

good day to all, delta airlines was so nice as to rebook our return flight so we would miss our connecting plane for the night as if they cant figuire that out, so we rebooked our flight with aaa and get to stay a few hours later on our leaving date, i see this as a plus as i am gonna hate leaving disney to begin with, also i am finding out its not cheap to ship items of weight such as soda and water before leaving but will do so to save on stuff we carry with us to the airport, the only thing besides wait to leave that i can think of to do is buy disney dollars, i ran out of stuff to buy lol, anyhow just stopping in to say hi and hope all is well for everybody

Have you thought of having groceries deliverd? Not sure what the shipping is going to cost, but gardengrocer.com only charges $10 for delivery. I think I will be using them for soda, water, & a few other items. Sorry to here about your flight getting change. We are flying Airtran & they dropped their prices for the times we are flying. After an email & a phone call I now have an $185 credit to use towards my next flight :cheer2: Now if some good rates come out for Jan. maybe I can switch to AKL for ds birthday :thumbsup2

Glad everyone enjoyed the desserts. Here is a picture of the dessert tray David (the chef we had on the culinary tour) sent over for my best friend and her new hubby at dinner. They were on the end tail of their honeymoon.

 Here is a picture of my birthday cupcake at Boma's. At the top of the picture near the water glass there is a bowl with something that is pinkish in this picture which David made for us. There is a story behind this so bear with me.

David told us there was an "iron chef" competition with all the chefs and they all had to use blueberries as a made ingredient so he made a blueberry rice pudding type of thing. He was very kind and after he did everything else for us he brought us some over for to try. Now I am not a very big bread pudding fan but this was pretty good. We thought it was really nice...again perks of doing to Culinary Tour before you go to Boma. We were the only ones on the tour...and the hummus is VERY yummy at both Jiko and Boma! Ok enough rambling here is the picture already.

So glad your mom will be going home soon. I also really enjoyed the tiramisu and the fruit tart things is better now than on the triangle thing.

Love all the dessert pictures! Sorry but this sentence made me :rotfl:

I'd like to know as well!!! Any info about this would be great ~~ thinking of doing this with DS while DH is golfing!!!

I am positive the culinary tour is free, although I haven't been on it. I must have been at that darn pool bar sucking down drinks during tour time! :)

 I am very embarrassed that I did that...I even proof read it, I guess when you know what you are trying to say you read it as you mean it. I am a nurse remember so body parts come second nature. I am glad I was good for a laugh.

Anyways the culinary tour is complimentary you start at Jiko and then go to Boma. The tour is suppose to be an hour or so but ours lasted almost 1.5 hrs.

Since I can't get ressies for dinner at Boma during our stay (darn free dining!) I'll have to rely on the culinary tour for a sampling.

(I did manage to get breakfast ressies for one morning during our stay)
