Hi everyone. I'm sure this question must be answered somewhere else on this board (or even in this thread), but I've been searching around for a while now and haven't found the answer. Maybe someone here can help me.

Does anyone know if the rooms at the far ends of AKL (for example, rooms numbered X572 (X=floor #) or X541, or rooms in that general vicinity) are considered deluxe savannah views? Or are these just regular savannah-view rooms? And...are they non-smoking rooms?

We have a regular savannah-view room (non-smoking) booked for the end of January and I was kind of hoping we could stay at that end of the lodge, if a room's available. We always walk out there and view animals from the stairways when we stay at AKL, but it'd be so great to be in one of those rooms.

TIA for all info.

...my room, #5381 was a deluxe savannah-view room in the Kudu Trail. It was VER-R-R-R-RY far from the lobby, but very peaceful and relaxing once you were there....BTW ~ it had bunks.....

So I was talking to DFi today and we are throwing aroud the idea of upgrading to Concierge for our honeymoon...I am hesitant because of the move of the lounge.

I do have a question, as usual, do any of the Concierge rooms have King size beds??? ;) And you can you request either pool or savannah view?? TIA

This will be our 7th AKL stay and first time Concierge!! :cool1: I am very excited. Can someone please tell me where I can read all about it?? I would also love to see pictures.

Also CRO did not mention if it was a savannah view. Am I wrong to expect one since we are paying the extra $$$?

UH-OH...what does "move of the lounge" mean??

DVC will be taking over the 6th floor and the lounge area, concierge is apparently moving to the 4th floor :(

Oh your are going to enjoy your stay. Jiko is excellent. Its my favorite probally because of the filet with mac/cheese ,red wine sauce. Glass of Africa

We have a review of the restaurant filed in the depths on the boards:rotfl2: We had the best server there, she was wonderful and the food amazing. We also tried the Kalamata olive flat bread...........WOW that is to die for:thumbsup2

Good Morning AKL fans. I am starting planning for our grand gathering. My family voted on AKL. :cool1: Soooo I am very happy. I just have a few questions for all of my experts here on this thread.

1.Any updates on the concierge move.

2.Will the villas be available to rent in Feb 2008.

3.Are they letting non concierge do the sunrise safari. I had herd mention of this a while ago.

4. Will they block rooms together for a grand gathering at AKL

You people were a great help planning for our 15th anniversary last trip and I appreciate any tips for those who have done a family reunion or a grand gathering. TIA.

I only have an answer for this one, you cannot do the sunrise safari, but you can do the sunset safari. They charge more though, something like 175.00 for concierge guests and 225.00 for non concierge.

I can't believe we're at the 30 day mark!!! We'll be checking into AKL concierge for our very first trip to WDW! We're celebrating the kids' birthdays while there. It's a secret until we get to the airport, then we're going to tell them and watch the mayhem ensue.popcorn::

That means I only have a month to pack!!!:scared1:

I did that with my daughter in December, told her at the airport - she didn't believe me and when I showed her the boarding pass she thought it was a fake :rotfl:

Bump back to page one. Still looking for CL info if anyone has it.

CL was just the same as always 2 weeks ago when I was there, I guess we have to wait for some trip reports over the next couple of months and watch for changes.
