I can not tell you what rooms are closest but I can tell you all the 2 bedroom suites are the furtherest away. They are at the very end of each building under the domed thatched rooms. Ours was on the 2nd floor.

...they are pretty much on the 6th floor....overlooking the lobby. There were some on the 5th floor also, but I think they may have been delegated to DVC....

The rooms on the 6th floor (Club Lounge level) are DVC Villas and will rarely, if ever, be available to book through Disney Travel. There are a very limited number of villas on 6. With the growing number of DVC members, those villas are getting harder and harder to reserve, usually booking up at the 11-month DVC booking window.

The 5th floor is almost entirely DVC (non-Club Level) villas.

The AKL Club Level rooms are on the 4th floor -- all are Savannah View. You can request Either Kudu or Zebra Trail. Most of the CL rooms will be in the 1st or 2nd pods off the lobby. To get to the Club Lounge, you will either take the elevator or walk 2 flights of stairs. It is a bit inconvenient but, except for the DVC Villas on 6, there are none closer.



I don't know if this has been posted anywhere on this thread yet, but the Itinerary Planning Offices for all the Club Levels recently merged into one large department; now called "Disney Signature Services". I got a call from that office today about our upcoming Club Level stay and according to "Dave" they went live 5 weeks ago! While I will miss working with AKL's IPO, I think this is a great idea and they seem to be off to a great start!

If you did not book a DVC villa or DVC studio then you will be in Jambo. Where in Jambo depends on the category of standard view you booked.

Thank you bubble tea is my absolute favorite drink, my sister hates it! But I love all tea!

Which is the "better view" in your opinion. What animals would we look at on the Kudu? I am assuming only zebras on the zebra trail...

Actually, the zebras can be on both Kudu and Zebra Trails since that's one Savannah, with Arusha Rock overlook in the middle.

With Zebra Trail you are closer to the elevator, pool and restaurants -- although when I saw closer, it's minimal (the width of the lobby!!) I prefer Kudu, but either Trail is fine with me! The animal barn is at the end of Kudu. I like to go out on the steps and watch the animals who tend to congregate near the barn, especially around feeding time!

Can someone please help me? We will be staying in a DVC at Jambo House and I want to tell Amazon Prime Now the address to deliver to. My searching is showing two cities: Bay Lake and also Lake Buena Vista. Which one should I tell Amazon prime? I want it delivered properly, thank you so much for your kind help!

I have 2 questions:

1. Due to the CBR debacle, I changed reservations to AKL with a Standard view (at my own expense). I did this before Disney started offering any compensation to guests who would be affected by the construction. It was so early in the process, my TA didn't even know about the extensive closings and they are a Disney Specialist and Authorized Disney Trip Planner. Now I'm seeing several posts about being people moved to other resorts and getting a room-category upgrade, others were offered gift cards or discounts. I didn't complain when all of this happened, so I didn't really get any sort of "let us make this better" from Disney. How realistic is it to hope for an upgrade to a Savanna view? My only request at the time of booking was a king-bed and a note of celebrating my birthday. Should I contact my TA and see if they can do anything?

2. Balloons - Are they allowed in the resort? I've always wanted to get a Mickey balloon. I had read somewhere that they weren't allowed at all and I've read that they are allowed but have to stay in your room (not the balcony). Which is it?

....neither balloons OR straws are allowed...I'm guessing that the only exception would be if you are staying in a standard room facing the parking lot.

49 days till we are back at Jambo House. Havent been at this resort in a few years while we tried other DVC. We loved the Mara last time, anything new to try there for breakfast/lunch/or dinner? The falafal pita and couscous was a fav back when

Are there any Standard view rooms that have a decent view? We have a split stay booked in June with the first 3 nights at CSR but I'm considering switching to AKL for those nights due to the construction, but the deal with my TA is only for standard view.

I'm booking a Standard View nonDVC room. Where in Jambo House are those? Are there any requests that I should be asking for to get the best Standard room? I'd like to be close to the lobby and pool. Thanks

That's weird because we had a Savannah view room last year and I had a few balloon's and mickey doll sent to the room for my mother's birthday, we had it in the room the entire trip with no issue. This was ordered straight from Disney and delivered to the room while we were at Disney Springs.
