Any recommendations for best room location for animal viewing when staying in a studio at Jambo?

I just stayed in a studio on the Zebra Trail in May. It was a spectacular view but a very, very long walk to/from the elevators.

We also like Zebra Trail (overlooks Arusha) both for animal viewing and because it faces west meaning you are not blinded by the sun in the morning. Note Zebra Trail runs the length of the wing of the buidling so you can be anywhere from close to the lobby to far away from it.

I understand there are 3 savannahs. Is Arusha the best then? Should I request Zebra trail or Arusha?

For the U-shaped Jambo building Arusha is the savanna in the middle of the U and Zebra Trail is the portion of the building that runs along the inside right side of that U and overlooks Arusha. Thus if you request Arusha view you can end up on either side of the building overlooking the savanna and Zebra Trail is simply a request for an Aruisha view from the right side of the building.

It's possible to have a long walk at Cee stated in the above post. You can ask to be on that side but be near the elevators. If being near the elevators is the most important request I make it my first request and then the Zebra Trail the second. As very often you only get one of your requests on a reservation. Either side can be a long walk as they are equal in length.

As noted, the whole side of that building overlooking Arusha is Zebra trail so you can end up close to, mid-way from, or far from the lobby. If you want closer to the lobby request close to "lobby" but don't request close to "elevator." There is an elevator right off the lobby and then another one about halfway down the wing so you could end up quite a distance from the lobby area by asking to be near an "elevator."

We stayed on Zebra trail both last Oct and in May. Both times we were near the elevator in the middle. We loved the location. We would walk up the ramp and on the elevator to the 5th. floor and we came out and were two doors away. I loved it not too far from the lobby, but not way down the other end and we took the same elevator down to the first floor and we came out right by the pool. We were in a two bedroom. I think the studio was 5007. Have a great trip.
