Jambo or Kindi

There are definitely pros and cons to both Jambo House and Kidani Village.

Jambo House does have a counter service restaurant (The Mara), Kidani Village does not.

Kidani Village does have a larger, more fun (especially for kids) pool complex with the water play area. Jambo's is nice, but nowhere near as large or interactive.

Kidani has the Community Hall, with games, activities, pool table, video games, etc - Jambo does not.

Kidani 1 Br's have 2 bathrooms in them - Jambo 1 BR's don't, only 1 bathroom.

Both have multiple animal viewing areas. Both have a nice firepit for evening fun. Both have fun activities going on throughout the day that kids can participate in.

can we use either pool? or are we restricted to the pool at our location...??

More action at Jambo - quiet at Kidani, but you can walk or ride over to Jambo from Kidani when you want action! Animal activity is low at Kidani in the morning due to animal check-up times when they are not on the savannah, but great in the afternoon and evening. If you are not going to be at the resort in the afternoon you might want to stay at Jambo for a.m. animal viewing.

I figure that, whichever one you visit, you'll feel like more is going on at the other one. When we stayed at Kidani in February, I ventured over to Jambo and felt that it had a more "happening" feel to it. But I can't say that I really spent much time comparing the two.

Hi cmusschoot,
My vote would be Jambo. I felt like there was more going on there. I think whatever one you choose you really can't go wrong, since you can get back and forth to the other one to enjoy the amenities. I stayed at Jambo in February and we saw most of the animals late at night. Have a great trip. :thumbsup2

We just stayed in a 1-BDRM in Kidani this week. We loved it! We are only 2 adults and we loved having the second bathroom. The down side is that there is no counter service at Kidani. The resort is beautiful!

Jambo is nicer overall... but do you have a car with you? Parking at Kidani is so much better -- you basically park beneath your room (or close to it) instead of the far-off lot you need to use at Jambo. If you like to drive to the parks, I'd say go for Kidani.
