I have never stayed at Animal Kingdom. I'm hoping to book a savanna view tomorrow. Which has the better views and which is better to stay in from the choices above? :confused3

We are staying at Kidani Village mid May. The DW and I had the same question. However, after seeing the difference in the tubs, SHE decided it would be Kidani Village. I really did not have a preference.

1br at kidani = 2 full bathrooms, 2 bdr at kidani = 3 full baths..

We stayed at Jambo before it became DVC. The room (CL) seemed small. I don't know how the reconfigured it. We have stayed at Kidani in 1BR savannah view and loved it. The balcony was large and the animals plentiful. Bus service to all the parks was easy. Our only concern is the dining. Other Saana there is only the pool area to get a quick meal. It only a quick walk to Jambo to get to Mara, Boma and Jiko. It would be nice to have options at Kidani.

we stayed at Kidani 2 years ago and loved it! we did not have a savanah view room but saw so much wildlife all day long despite the heat of the summer. Kidani has 2 bathrooms in the 1 bed unit and it felt like a really posh hotel instead of a normal dvc unit.
it was the best dvc we have stayed at & we have stayed at BCV,SSR,OKW.
we walked from kidani to jambo house many times and we thought that the animals in the kidani savanah were more plentiful and more interesting (lots of birds at jambo)
either way you can walk between the 2 bldgs and see tons of wildlife.
don't miss the firepit storytelling at kidani. lots of animals are around then too plus it's just really neat!

We love Kidani, but that's our main complaint too. If you don't want to eat in your room or at Sanaa, there aren't any credible alternatives. You're hoofing it over to Mara or taking a bus to a park.

It would be nice to have some kind of quick service option at Kidani.

My opinion is that Kidani offers a better savannah view. You can also request to be on a lower floor which makes for a better view as well. Kidani has a better pool play area for kids and it is the first bus stop to the parks. If you will have a car, parking is sheltered. As already stated if you are getting anything bigger than a studio, you will have an extra bathroom which is a huge plus. Kidani does not have as grand of a lobby and store, but it feels more like a getaway because of it.

Is there a beverage station at Kidani?:confused3

There is one in the gift shop. For some reason, I think there was one at the pool bar, but I'm not sure. We didn't have them, but I would have sworn I saw people refilling them there :)

We love KV we love that there is only 1 stop first pick up and drop off. We are not big breakfast eaters so not much into that. We normally do the dining plan so after a few hours in the park we either eat there or stop at Mara on the way back. They do have a shuttle to get back until 9pm. It is not a bad walk. We have had excellent locations all studios. One SV that was way at the end. Saw lots of giraffes. We love the pool there and they have lots of activities at the pool.

When staying club level, is your villa in Kidani? I believe the club level lounge is in Kidani.

For a Studio, I would probably pick Jambo. The building itself is...grander...and Jambo has better dining options.

For anything larger Kidani would get the nod due to the larger villa, better master bath and extra bathroom.

:thumbsup2 Great advice, Tim! I couldn't agree more.
