Jambo house value question

I was able to snag a Jambo house value studio for next June that i’m currently walking to June 10th. However our plans have changed a little and we need a 2 bed. Does anyone know if its possible to release the studio and book right away into a 2 bed value? I figure this theoretically possible since the 2 beds are a studio plus a 1 bed, but not sure how it will pan out in practice.

From my experience in the past, I had to release the current booking to make a new one. Most times the accommodations that were available just before I released were still available and I was able to get them. But there were one or two times they were gone in a matter of minutes this is why I wish I had more points so I could make a second reservation and drop the first one!

You do NOT release the Value Studio. You go to the Value Studio Reservation in your DVC Members account and you choose MODIFY. Then may any changes you want, regarding type of units or dates. Specify what type of units you want. IF it is available, it will let you Modify into a 2 Bedroom.

If it isn't available, then you will not see that option available to choose.

There are 8 dedicated Value studios even though it is not an explicit booking category. So even if you see a 1BR Value available, releasing the studio may not create a bookable 2BR. Not exactly sure how the booking algorithm handles it.

I would call DVC to see if they could do it for you rather than try it yourself online
