I was looking on the member website and although animal kingdom isn't my style, I LOVE that GRV!!! It is beautiful. I hope the BLT one is half as nice as that one is. I wanted to know how people that have stayed in one liked it, and how hard is it to book from a 7 month window for anytime in January?

Have not stayed in the Jambo GV but have been inside and looked around. I am also familiar with the GVs from other resorts. I place the Jambo GV as tops in its class slightly above the the one-story BWV GV. All GVs at the resorts that have them are impressive but the single stories give a space and luxury sense that is a tad above the two-stories, and the ones at Jambo have large porches expanding across the unit and that pool table that adds something beyond the others.

That said, both the AKV Kidani GVs and the BLT GVs will be two stories and thus I doubt that either will match the feel you get with the AKV Jambo GV, but they will still be impressive and the view you are going to get from the ones at BLT which will all be high floor is going to be incredible regardless of whether you have MK or lake view.

We stayed in the GV in Jambo and thought it was fantastic. It really is grand with the double door entrance and foyer, the large living room with dining room and balcony. Plus the pool table is lots of fun. The master bath has a huge tub and TV. The closet is huge with a dresser in it. Having everything on one floor gives it a spacious feel, one you don't get with SSR's GV, though OKW has a spacious feel to the GV and it is two floors.

The only drawback to Jambo's GV's are that they are at the end of the wing which makes for a long walk.

Thank you for all the info! I love the pics on the dvc website. How hard do you think it is to book in January at the 7 month window? I am hoping since my dates are pretty flexible for that entire month that year it will not be too bad.

Being able to get a GV at Jambo 7 months out for any time of year is going to be difficult but if you have date flexibility you may get lucky.

We were one of the first groups to stay in the GV. It still smelled of paint and new furnishings. We got a Saturday night, probably since the points were so high, then we had to move to SSR.

Your flexibility will help. Because the units are so great I would even try for just one night if they have it. We loved it!

Good luck
