We are staying here for the first time in 3 weeks.:cool1: It is just my DH and I and we are wanting a romantic time. Is there a specific area that I can request that is more quiet than another? We don't mind walking long hallways as we have stayed at BWV twice and always seem to have to walk 2 miles to get to our room.

We wanted a quiet, more serene savannah where we can sit on our balcony and just drink wine and relax.

Honestly, see if you can switch your reservation to Kidani if that's what you're after. It has a more relaxed, quiet, and intimate feel to it.

And if you want a closer view of the animals, you might want to be at Kidani. The Jambo House villas are all on the 5 floor (6th for Concierge). Whereas at Kidani you can be as low as the 2nd floor. I've seen posts that people said they had problems seeing the animals from the higher floors as trees blocked some of the distant views.

What ever you decide have a wonderful romantic trip and come home relaxed. :cloud9:

I can try Kidani, but we wanted to be where the restaurants are and Sanna does not appeal to us. Where would I request at Kidani to be a close enough walk to Jambo?

Jambo is ideal for two adults and 1BR. Easy access to the three restaurants and a great pool area where you have two hot tubs and lots of places to find shade. As far as quiet goes, that essentially describes 90% of the savanna view rooms. Recommend you request Zebra Trail away from the lobby. That side of the building overlooks Arusha savanna (the one in the middle of the building) and faces west, avoiding the blinding sun in the room in the morning but very pleasant sunset view and excellent view of animals.

As to walk to rooms: the walk at Jambo to the last rooms furthest from the lobby is actually somewhat longer than the longest walk at BWV. The walk from the lobby at Kidani to the last rooms on the north wing of Kidani is over 1/4 mile and more than three times the distance of the longest walk at BWV. If you choose Kidani but want to be closest to Jambo then request south wing far from the lobby, however, the end rooms on the south wing are close to 1/4 mile from the Kidani lobby; in other words, if you are familiar with that "long" walk you can have at BWV, you ain't seen nothing yet until you get to Kidani.

Just a note on restaurants: don't assume Sanaa won't appeal. We had similar thoughts until we went there and consider it outstanding now that we have been. However, Jiko and Boma at Jambo are also outstanding.
