We have upcoming reservations for a 1 BR Jambo House Club Level.

Does anyone know if the Sleeper chair in the living room can fit through the doorway to be moved into the Master Bedroom?

Thanks for your help!

Don't know if it will fit. However, it has been reported to be VERY HEAVY. Not a good idea to try to move it.

It is bulky, heavy and would likely be difficult to get through the door and find a place where you can actually lay it out in the bedroom.

Having stayed in a Jambo 1 bedroom, there is no way it would fit down the hall and into the bedroom. Like mentioned above, it is an extremely heavy, large piece.. Best to get a small aero bed if you are seeking another sleep space in the master..

You really don't want to move the furniture around in the villas.

Curious...to be clear, you are refering to the SINGLE SLEEPER CHAIR, not the SOFA, right?

We have stayed there as well, but I didn't have the same issue that we have this time so I paid no attention.

I called guest services and they didn't have a problem with it, but they could not say whether it would fit or not.

Thanks for the feedback from everyone.

Yes, I am speaking of the single sleeper chair. I paid particular attention to it since this question has come up on occasion here on the boards. Plus, having sold furniture for over 20 years I have an interest in all things furniture related, lol.

As stated again, it is very large and most probably would not fit even if you had enough strong, heavy lifters to attempt it. Also, did you call the resort directly to ask? I am very surprised you received that answer; must have been someone who has no clue. Not only is it not something they would advise, it would be very prudent to direct guests to NOT lift, carry and move such heavy items. Who would be responsible not only for damage to the furniture, and the villa itself, but that thing could give someone a hernia or worse!

Nope, better stick to the aero bed! :)

Whirl, we've stayed in a one bedroom club level villa as well as a 2 Br club level villa. Neither master bedroom had enough space for that huge chair even if you could somehow magically poof it through the door.:wizard:

Have fun.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Even if there was space I was cursing enough just adjusting the angle of it so we had ample walking space with the sofa bed and the single char opened during our last vacation... those darned chairs are very very heavy!! :scared:

OK. Well. I am convinced. I do remember the space being tight in the bedroom. We used the sleep sofa, but not the chair, so I really did not take note.

We are on the wait list for another 2 BR ( we currently ahve a @BR L/O and the 1 BR), but I doubt there is much chance of that happening, especially concierge level....everyone one would be far more comfortable, though.

Thanks!

Good question I was wondering about this for my upcoming trip. Want DS to sleep in the master since he goes to be early. Guess he will need to fall asleep on the bed and I will move him when we go to sleep.

Yes, I understand fully...it is not an ideal set up for a one bedroom. We have had to move a chair in a villa (non-disney) into the master on more than one occasion. It is generally not too difficult. I see that some are against doing it, but we are very careful, minding the furniture and the walls and have even had resort staff help me before with no objection. I did ask reservations desk and she called the resort to ask, but they said they just could not be sure.

We have also had to move furniture ( especially coffee tables) becuase of very hard and sharp edges or furniture that could be tipped over that were not safe for new walkers and small children.

If my young children must sleep in the public space, then the kitchen and everything is shut down for the night when they go to bed at 7:30 or so....I could stay in a hotel room if that's what I wanted.

And my first child could NOT be moved after she went to sleep or things would get ugly :)!

I have a different situation this time, it's not our room, but there are some health issues and bad snoring that are very disruptive, so we are trying to get that person alone to sleep.
