Jambo here we come!

I'm so excited! I was able to score a one bedroom Jambo ressie yesterday! Our home resort is BLT and I had to wait for our 7 month window to open. The guide said we got the last one bedroom open.

Tomorrow I need to book the rest of the trip. What is the differnce between Jambo and Kidini? We've only stayed BLT.

We also scored the concierge level room so we can book one of the safaris for that level. Can anyone recommend one? Thank you!

I think it's the Sunrise Safari that you can book with CL. It was very good, good animal sightings, and good breakfast!

Congrats on scoring the CL reservation at seven months! The Sunrise Safari is offered only to CL guests at AKL/AKV, it takes place at Animal Kingdom ( the park). The other safari is the sunset safari (Wanyama Safari). In that safari, they take you out in a touring truck into the different savannahs at the lodge and explain about all the different animals who reside at the resort and then there is a family style dinner afterward at Jiko.

I've heard nothing but raves about the sunrise safari. We did the Wanyama Safari in October and were completely blown away, really made the rest of our stay at Jambo special.

There's another recent thread in this section of DISBoards (" Simple Question ...") where a poster lays out the differences very well - so I won't bother ...

And remember - you have access to all the facilities and activities at both Jambo and Kidani.

You will love the Kilimanjaro Club Concierge, although I am really surprised it was still available at seven months, that rarely happens. Both Safaris are incredible, if I had to pick one, it would be the Sunrise Safari. Any AKL hotel guest can book the Wanyama Sunset Safari, but only CL can book the Sunrise Safari. Sunrise is also much more reasonably priced. Seeing all the back-stage areas at the park and the extended time on savannah, plus the awesome breakfast really makes this a special experience. You may never be able to get CL at seven months again, so don't waste the opportunity to do the Sunrise Safari.

Thank you so much! How do I book the Sunrise Safarri? That is the only reason we are staying club level. We did luck out too!
