JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

Lol love your description of Jeff in the Buzz Lightyear queue!!! :lmao: Count me as another one who was gutted that he didn't buy that jacket earlier.

Great pics of Fantasyland as well and how sweet of Jasmine to think of her Grandma and take that pic

So next christmas to torment Jeff you need to get everyone else in the family the buzz hoodie except him. :lmao:

I think they call it hair wrapping. After seeing the price of it I taught myself how to do it. One year I did all the girls at my DD birthday party as part of their loot bag. But I think I developed tennis (or is it golf) elbow from it.

I am really hoping they still have it when we're there! Jasmine is going to buy it for him for sure!

Jasmine thinks of her grandma often and spends everyone of her days off with her Grandpa....I don't know many 19 year olds that would do that! They go to this quaint little cafe they both discovered for lunch and then a movie or just a day of relaxation at his house or ours! She has always had a very special relationship with my parents, especially my dad, she is his baby, that is for sure!

:lmao::lmao:Can you just imagine the look on his face:worship:

You're right, it is called hair wrapping...what the heck did I call it? Not that anyways ;) I agree with you, the price is ridiculous....good for you for learning!

Happy Easter Weekend everyone! It is going to be in the 70's here today but the weather channel is telling us 5 - 10cm of snow on Sunday:confused3 Only in Manitoba!!

On with the trip report!

704-2.jpg

The evening we were headed back to Epcot to have dinner at one of our favorite places.....Via Napoli! Jeff asked if we could take the boat again and of course we said yes! He loved the atmosphere of slowly going from resort to resort and just having that little bit of down time! Who were we to argue
705-2.jpg

Jasmine and I decided before we left that we had to get Jeff to try The Beverly before we went to dinner and since we had lots of time to spare that's exactly what we did! He "loved" it...can't you tell?
706-2.jpg

We then backtracked and headed back to WS! The kids with a lovely potted plant as Jeff called it!
709-1.jpg

A stop in the United Kingdom brought about this picture! This was another item Jeff contemplated purchasing but didn't! We originally stopped in here to get my dad a Scotland jersey but the kids had other ideas!
715-2.jpg

We continued around WS (can you believe we didn't stop for a GGS in France) and were so excited when we saw that the candy lady was setting up in Japan so we stopped to watch, something we had never done before! Now, I can't remember where Peg and family went but they weren't with us while we were watching her
717-2.jpg

The kids posing with her and a few of her beautiful creations! This lady is amazing....she is so talented!
720-2.jpg

Once the candy lady wrapped up, we headed to our final destination and none too soon! I had been watching the sky and I just knew at any moment it was going to start pouring. I wanted to be as close to the restaurant as possible so we could duck in and maybe get seated early!
721-2.jpg

The kids were watching the mime so I decided to just take some more pictures! Jasmine turned to me and said "I can't wait until after University and we go to Italy, it's going to be great mom"! She has been saving diligently and has a completely separate account for her Italy trip! She's very serious about it!
722-3.jpg

Trying to be artistic with my photography skillls :rotfl2:
724-2.jpg

The skies did open and we rushed inside the restaurant! Peg and family came running in not that long after us and before you knew it the place was packed! It was coming down in buckets but we didn't care, we knew we'd be in here long enough for it to pass! Chandelier at the entrance!
725-1.jpg

We were seated in no time and I might as well tell you know this was hands down the best evening of our trip! Our waiter, Ricardo, was the best we had on any visit to the World! He was funny, attentive, not over the top .... perfect! Here is Jeff, Geodoc and Mini Montana waiting for dinner! I know you can't tell in this pic but she hardly ate anything on this evening, the trip was catching up with her and she was a very tired little girl!
726-2.jpg

Snow White and Peg!
728-1.jpg

We decided that since it was raining we were going to have a leisurely dinner and not rush! For the first time we even ordered appetizers and a bottle of wine! That TIW card sure was a great thing! Our wine :cloud9:
729-1.jpg

Rose Regale....Ricardo tried to talk us out of this wine but we love it! He said it's too sweet to have with dinner to which I replied, "it'll be gone before dinner" he laughed his head off! I first tried this in 2004 when we attended our first F & W for Jasmine's 12th birthday! I fell in love with it and Peg and I decided the next trip that we all go together, we're getting a couple of bottles for the room....well, ok, twist my arm!
730-1.jpg

Our very happy family on a very special night!
731-1.jpg

I had spaghetti and meatballs which he again tried to talk me out of! But I love it and he said but it's so plain, try something else!
732-1.jpg

Jasmine and Jeff both had lasagne which they loved! I forgot to take a picture of our appetizers but we got those fried risotta balls ....on my....heavenly!!! I would have those again in a heartbeat!
733-1.jpg

Empty bottle!
735-2.jpg

My dessert.....we could easily have shared these! I think I had two!
736-1.jpg

Ricardo and the girls...he was so wonderful, we laughed so hard and had so much fun at this meal and it really was because he made it fun along with the other two people who were helping him!
737-1.jpg

Here is a picture of all of us! Luca, the one behind Jeff, was falling over Jasmine all night which we thought was hilarious considering Jeff was sitting right there! Jeff was playing it up, looking at MM and SW saying "he know's I'm not her brother, look at me for heaven sakes" we were cracking up!
734-1.jpg

MM made it through the meal but it was clearly time to head back to the resort...no Illuminations for us tonight! As we got up, Ricardo told us what a pleasure it was to have waited on us and then I got a kiss on both cheeks....no one let this go for the next few days! I'm sure they were all just jealous....that's my story anyways!

Nothing like looking at pictures of dinner as I finish up my breakfast coffee. :goodvibes

Happy Easter to you and all the rest of the gang as well!

Cute pic of the kids in England. They look ready for St. Pat's Day :)

I always seem to hear negative reviews of Via Napoli so I'm really glad you all enjoyed it! We really like it too and our last trip almost went back a second time :)

I hope all of you have a wonderful Easter!

It sounds like a fantastic dinner! I'm very excited to try Via Napoli on our next trip.

Poor MM, sounds like she needed some rest!

Love that Jeff's reaction to the waiters. He sounds like a great kid.

Sounds like you really had a great meal! That's so funny about what Jeff said about not looking like Jasmine's brother ahah. That's so great that Jasmine has been saving up for Italy. I went when I was 14 and it was truly an amazing trip!

Via Napoli sounds so wonderful! Seeing all that food and hearing how wonderful your server was makes me really excited to eat here next month.

And I wrote down the wine that you had at dinner, because my mother and I prefer sweet wines and this one sounds perfect for us. Thanks for including it! :thumbsup2

You all look extremely happy in all the pics, I bet you barely noticed that it was raining out!

Hi, I'm all caught up now!

I can't believe that this far into the trip Jeff was still falling for your fear-inspiring descriptions of rides :rotfl2:

Your day at Universal sounded great - Ella was looking at the pictures with me and has now asked several times if we go there for a day on our next Disney trip. We've seen all the movies and she is on book #3.

The girls' hair wraps look great...my girls had it done our first trip and it can be pretty expensive, especially the more beads you add on, but it was their money and they were pleased with the results.

Poor MM, I hope she got rested up as she does look quite tired by the end of your Via Napoli dinner.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend :goodvibes

and were so excited when we saw that the candy lady was setting up in Japan so we stopped to watch, something we had never done before!

Nice! Heard lots about her but never seen.

Jasmine turned to me and said "I can't wait until after University and we go to Italy, it's going to be great mom"! She has been saving diligently and has a completely separate account for her Italy trip! She's very serious about it!

Good for her! :thumbsup2

I am way behind on everyone's trip reports…too much time on the cruise boards lately :rolleyes1 I just skimmed through some of yours, but not all of it yet - 64 pages! wow! - but the parts I did read are great! I look forward to catching up on the rest :)

Love that Jeff's reaction to the waiters. He sounds like a great kid.

I don't think you'll be disappointed...we also have it booked for our trip next month!

Our poor little girl was just about done...but still so well behaved:thumbsup2

Jeff is such a great kid and we love having him around! He keeps saying how Jasmine and I aren't going to have as much fun next month because he isn't going to be with us:confused3 Silly boy!

Sounds like you really had a great meal! That's so funny about what Jeff said about not looking like Jasmine's brother ahah. That's so great that Jasmine has been saving up for Italy. I went when I was 14 and it was truly an amazing trip!

He had us cracking up everytime the waiters came around! I wish I had it on video!

She is diligent about saving for Italy..she was wanted to go since she was a little girl! My aunt and her partner want to go with us....and I think the four of us would have a ball!

Via Napoli sounds so wonderful! Seeing all that food and hearing how wonderful your server was makes me really excited to eat here next month.

You all look extremely happy in all the pics, I bet you barely noticed that it was raining out!

I hope you have as great an experience as we did!

If you like a sweet wine I think you will love it! Think of me when you're having a glass!:)

We never let the rain get us down....Tropical Storm Faye was a bit of a challenge but the parks were empty so it was fantastic!

Hi, I'm all caught up now!

So true!
Your day at Universal sounded great - Ella was looking at the pictures with me and has now asked several times if we go there for a day on our next Disney trip. We've seen all the movies and she is on book #3.
It was such a good day! I wish we were going back on our next trip but it's not to be! maybe next time we all go together....it just seems a waste as I can't go on the rides over andover and Jasmine loves them so we'll wait!
The girls' hair wraps look great...my girls had it done our first trip and it can be pretty expensive, especially the more beads you add on, but it was their money and they were pleased with the results.
I still can't get over the price of the hair wraps....but the girls love them so that's why my sister does them!
Poor MM, I hope she got rested up as she does look quite tired by the end of your Via Napoli dinner.
She was exhausted that's for sure!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend :goodvibes
We sure did and hope you did as well!

Happy Easter to you too! I'm afraid that I just can't allow the snow on Sunday. Too hot to wear a jacket to snow??? WTH?

Apparently the snow listened to you.....Thanks:goodvibes

Never eaten there, but after seeing the pics and reading your thoughts... I'm in!

So good and so much fun! Just the atmostphere is fun!

Gotta love the Beverly pics! :rotfl:

He's such a good sport and I do love to torment the boy:rolleyes1

:scared1: Who are you and what did you do with the real Queen?

I know...I promise I won't do it on the next trip....I'll stop for sure!

Nice! Heard lots about her but never seen.

I was excited that she was out and we got to see....first time for everything!

Good for her! :thumbsup2

:worship:

She's sure puting on a brave face, though.

She is such a great natured little girl!

No way! I love Spaghetti and meatballs. Yumm... that sure looks good!

I thought it was pure heaven....so delicious!

Yup. She looks pretty pooped. Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes
Yup headed straight back to the resort so our littlest princess could get her rest!

I am way behind on everyone's trip reports…too much time on the cruise boards lately :rolleyes1 I just skimmed through some of yours, but not all of it yet - 64 pages! wow! - but the parts I did read are great! I look forward to catching up on the rest :)

Hey, so nice to see you again! Cruise boards....where are you going>???

I'm finally getting all caught up!!!! I loved Via Napoli when I went a few months ago!! You had cute servers :)...we had girls haha.

Sorry I got behind with your last update! Wow Ricardo is such a cutie! Your dinner looks fabulous. All the food looks great!

Can you believe I have never seen the candy lady? I really want to. Great picture of her with the kids.

I didn't know Jas was saving for Italy. Very cool!

Great update!

You must be getting so excited for the May trip! :cool1:

Good morning everyone! We have a very busy Saturday ahead of us so I thought I better get up and get a post done so it's one thing of my list!

We had been looking forward to this day for months....we were having an extra special Dis-meet on this day with some of our favorite Dis-friends! It's so funny as you plan these things and it feels like you've know them for years but realize "yup, we've never met". We couldn't get out the door fast enough!

739-2.jpg

Before I get on with our day tho, I forgot to mention that Jasmine had been contemplating getting a henna tattoo in Morocco the entire trip so before we went into dinner she stopped and got one....I thought it was so pretty! Now she wants a real one on her foot! I have always wanted a foot tattoo so maybe in a few years we'll go together;)
740-1.jpg
We grabbed a MK bus and from there took the monorail to the Poly for our breakfast at Kona! We were excited to have our first breakfast ever at Kona with our dear friends! Making new memories is one of the best things about being in WDW!
742-2.jpg

I love this shot!
743-2.jpg

Now the posed one!
744-1.jpg

I just realized I hadn't told you who our dear friends were....Princesscaitlin and dawnbu40...or as we know them, Dawn and Caitlin:hug: I ordered the macadamia nut pancakes! I had always thought I would try the tonga toast but I couldn't help but think what if I don't like it! So I went with a sure thing! There was also a few pots of pressed coffee on the table....:lovestruc
745-1.jpg

Jasmine's very plain pancakes!
746-1.jpg

Jeff got the Big Kahuna....I know, you're all shocked!
750-1.jpg

Once we were thru with our breakfast we all got on the monorail and headed to Epcot! Our first order of business there was Soarin! We all love this ride!

After Soarin, we did a little Test Track baby!
754-1.jpg

On our way over we stopped for Jeff to see if he had aquired a taste for The Beverly....apparently not:lmao:
755-1.jpg

From there we headed to our first destination of the day....The Ditch! Isn't it pretty!
756-1.jpg

Dale (Dawn's hubby) told me that the jalapeno margarita was delicious so I decided to give it a try! I realize now tho that I look far too happy in this picture! I have to say that drink was one of the best I have ever had! It was different but not completely out there! Loved it!
759-1.jpg

From The Ditch we wandered around WS landing in Germany (who can pass up the Karamel Kuche? Not us!!! Jasmine bought the apple with the W on it as Caitlin told us we would not be disappointed in it and she was right! Jeff trying on a hat!
761.jpg

Dale took this picture of the four ladies! We had such a great morning with them but we decided to head back to the resort as Jeff was pretty tired! He hadn't had a good sleep the night before so needed a nap!

I have to say it was such a great morning with them and I can't wait until we have a trip at the same time again!
765-1.jpg

Proof of how tired Jeff was.....out like a light on the boat! We decided, once again, to take the boat to the Studios and grab our bus from there!
767-1.jpg

Jeff wasted no time hitting the couch and he was gone! Jasmine and I laid on my bed eating her apple.....oh.mylanta.so.good!!!!!!!

I'm finally getting all caught up!!!! I loved Via Napoli when I went a few months ago!! You had cute servers :)...we had girls haha.

Hi Megan:hug:

Glad you liked it too....it was the first time we had a male server....we've had girls before too!

:cool1:

He was just a doll! The food was so good and those who had pizza raved about it!

Really? I was embarrassed to write that after all of our trips this was the first time that we saw her! I love that picture of her and the kids too!

I would to do Adventures by Disney but it is quite expensive! That's what she really wants to do too but we'll have to see!

We are at 35 days and I can hardly believe it's come this quickly...panic mode should start any day now:lmao:

I didn't know you could get a henna tattoo in Morocco. My girls would love that. Do you mind me asking where in Morocco and how much is was?

Dis meets are so much fun. I had one a few trips ago. I know what you mean about forgetting you've never met before because you "talk" on the DIS all the time.
