....they did, a few years back, but the recent info that I was able to obtain was that, no, there is no late check-out available. However, the policy could have changed again [of which I am not aware] and it might be offered again. I suggest checking with AKL directly....good luck - hope that helps!

I was here Dec 9-15 th and i called and got late checkout..

I just checked out of AKL CL on Saturday, 3/11 and my request for a late check-out was granted. I checked out at 1:00pm.

Hi everyone! My mom and I just booked thru rented DVC points for a split stay May 18-21. She thinks that we're only staying at Wilderness Lodge but it's a mini split stay with AKL Jambo house in a studio. AKL is her absolute FAVORITE place to stay and originally there wasn't a studio available but my friend checked again and got us the split with the waitlist for the 19 & 20th in AKL as well. Fingers crossed we get another night there since it's our favorite! This is the most short-notice that we've planned a trip to WDW and it's probably a good thing since I can barely keep it together enough to stop from telling her where we are actually staying the first night!!!!!!

We spent quite a bit of time talking to Don while we were there-he is such a great CM-you can tell he really loves his job. He always remembers us even though we stay at BC far more often than AKL.

We just missed each other! I actually arrived at AKL late in the evening on 3/8 and we moved to CL on 3/9. I saw Don in the lounge but didn't have a chance to talk to him - I did overhear another group talking about how long he had been there and how interesting his stories are. I spent a bit of time talking with Sue - she was so friendly (but really I felt like almost all of the CL CMs were).

We just booked our trip for Oct. 14-21 at AKL KV Savannah view! I last stayed there back in 2006 and can't wait to return with my kids. Thank you Kim for keeping the Jambo group going. I was an avid follower back in 2005-2007 and am happy to be back and still see some familiar faces.

2. What time is the fire pit open for S'Mores or storytelling? When I was there years ago there used to be a storytelling time around the fire pit.
3. Any other evening resort activities usually scheduled? Outside of the tours/restaurants?

Hopefully, this will give you a good estimate for your ADR. Looks to me like an early dinner ADR would leave you free and clear for night activities.

@loveshak22 Although I've eaten everywhere @ AKL/V but here, I've heard nothing but Great reviews....

BTW all the other places are excellent. (If you haven't tried yet)
