@littlebearfan This is a pina colava from Kidani pool bar it has a paper straw. I drank it in about 15 minutes at the bar. The straw did not get soggy, it held up well.

Quick question, which I can't find the answer to in the first couple of pages of this thread and I have also Google and only found outdated info. Are there rooms that sleep 5 people at AKL, and what are they like. We are looking for 2 adults and 3 kids ages 10/12/13yrs. Would be happy with 2 queen beds and a Murphy type like at POR. Does that exist?

A 1 bedroom Deluxe Villa will have 1 king, 1 queen sleeper sofa and 1 twin sleeper chair.
A 1 bedroom Deluxe Suite will have 2 queens and 1 queen sleeper sofa

The club level villas are the rooms on the 6th floor. They're the ones in the lobby area of the map that start with a 6.

Are there any king bed CL rooms on the Zebra trail, I'm thinking of asking to be close to the elevators that go to the pool/ laundry/Mara.... but I've also been closer to the ARusha Rock/ lobby before too and it was nice. I am hoping for a king bed room

Yes, 3 of the studios (& 3 of the one bedrooms) have a (not great) savannah view and 2 of the studios (& 2 of the one bedrooms) have a (not great) pool view. The height and shape of the building mean that most if not all of the sixth floor views feature a lot of roof!

Wow. Thanks for sharing this! We booked a savanna room and I keep doubting the expense. We will be surprising our two animal obsessed children with the trip at Christmas and I just can't help but to think it will be so worth it. You put my mind at ease. Are you happy with your room or is there another spot you would have preferred? I'd love to know the room number and see pictures of the view after your trip!

....no worries....that happened to me also on one of my trips....I too am clueless about it.....oh well....
